*** has changed my account number to a new number without written notification. In the past I would receive two separate notices, one notifying me of amount to be taken out of my checking account, and the second with the amount of remaining balance. Now I only received the notice of amount to be taken out of my account. Notice of what is owed is no longer sent. When I contacted *** and spoke to representative he assured me that a notice of what is owed would be forwarded. I'm still waiting. I **** to be sure that this company does not come after anymore money once this accoount is settled under the new account number. Please assist, thank you.Business response

Due to a system conversion, your ARS reference number changed from ******** to ********* on January 12, 2024. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. *************************** **************************************** ******************** DOB: 02/12/1986 RE: Debt collections:ARS National Services, **** ************************************************************** ARS National Services, **** added collection to my credit reports without my knowledge. I checked and am unable to verify their registration in the state of *********; both of which are Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) violations. They are also repeatedly contacting myself, my friends, family, and neighbors regarding a debt to which I have no knowledge. I have asked them to cease all of their communications concerning myself, and yet they persist; this is harassment. I request that ARS National Services, **** verify the following information:1. Full original Account Number 2. Date original Account was opened 3. Any written agreements between myself and the original creditor stating this debt is owed 4. Full account summary and itemized calculation of alleged debt 5. Date of the first delinquency 6. Dates and times of any phone calls made and to what number in attempt to contact me concerning the alleged debt before it was reported to an agency, and so proving that these calls were made in the times governed by FDCPA law.If ARS National Services, **** is unable to provide the above identifying account information, this account must be deleted from all credit reporting agencies including, but not limited to: Transunion, Experian, Equifax, and LexisNexis.ARS National Services, **** also failed to follow FDCPA by not sending a letter giving the consumer time to dispute or validate the alleged debt within the allowed 30-day time that is required by law.Business response

I was called by Mrs. **** from "AARS" who is part of the ********************* Firstly AARS is also known as ARS a collection agency, not a mediation firm. I tried to verify the company making the complaint (AARS) but she laughed and hung up the phone. I presume this was an attempt to scare or upset me. During this call she was unwilling to discuss whatever debt I owed, give me proof of debt, or even provide any information so I can ascertain that AARS is a legit company.Customer response

I had a message on my phone 5/8/2023 @ 12:35pm (My wife also received the same call and message 5 minutes later) from ************
The message was from Mrs. **** who had said that her client has started processing employment verification through Riot games to verify income and wages as well as verification of my assets. I was told she wanted to make me aware of our clients intentions refarding your finances before anything is finalized here in our office she needed me to call her back (or my attorney) @ ************.
Upon calling her back I asked what company she worked for... she responded "AARS mediation dept". I asked for their address. She asked why I needed the information. I said I needed the information to make sure this was from a legitiment company as I wanted to verify the debt. She they laughed and hung up on me.
I suppose this was to get a response out of me but I'd rather they stop harassing me or my wife..

For the past month I have had harassing calls from an *********************** who calls from multiple phone numbers and stating she is with ARS and to call her immediately on a legal matter. I have never received correspondence from this company or this lady. Now she is harassing and calling my family members phone numbers. Even a little kid in my family. I want something in writing of what this situation is and for all calls to stopped immediately as I am filing a complaint with the lawyers office.Business response

I received a call from ***************** ************************* from ARS National Services concerning a debt that my nephew ****. ************** was belligerent, insulting and threatening. When I asked for the name of his company again, he refused to give it to me, as well as refusing to state his name and credentials. I am writing this letter to the Better Business Bureau to make them aware of the above harassment nature of this company and their employees.Business response

File Number supposedly, 1451237-2182 I received a call that went to my voicemail from a male saying that he was calling to let me know he will be coming by my residence due to not receiving an answer from **** mailings which I wouldn't know if I had or hadn't gotten them since I have no idea what it is "supposedly" concerning, that I will need to produce two types of IDs so ******* can get my field documents that he will be coming by between ****pm and that if I am not here "He will be making other unannounced visits at my residence, which sounds pretty threatening to me. Ridiculous way to conduct business very unprofessional. If there is paperwork or something that actually exists and you have my address mail it to me, or cease and desist.Business response

I received a call and my family members received a call from ******************* at ************ reference ******* who represents ARS National. He harassed my husband, saying they would come to my workplace and arrest me if I didn't respond. He tried to get my information from my husband who thankfully did not provide it. I have never been provided written notice of this debt nor could they tell me what it was in regards to. Please cease and desist from calling me or my family!Business response

ARS is a scam, they have been contacting me weekly to pay on a account that I have never heard of or opened. I receive several calls a day, and when I do they demand payment right then and there in a threatening manner. I am unhoused and have been for 3 months. I do not have the means to pay on this fraudulent account. I spoke with a Ray at phone number ************, however he would not give me his last name or employee ID, which is illegal as debt collectors are to properly identify themselves. He also would not confirm my date of birth or my social security number when asked They have contacted family members, and I request them to cease and desist from doing so. I've received multiple calls per day, and even as late at 9:15pm CST which is also illegal per the ***** act that reads " it prohibits debt collection companies from using abusive, unfair or deceptive practices to collect debts from you."I last spoke with *** last week and this week on phone number ************ *** didnt give me any more info on who he or the company is. He has threatened me several times about not being able to make a payment, and has said "if you dont pay, its not going to be very good for you" and that I needed to "figure something out, or else" to be able to pay on this fraudulent account. It is illegal for debt collectors to pose as a government official and threaten jail time or violence to consumers. Not only do they harass me with phone calls, but I have yet to receive any documentation from them regarding anything that I allegedly owe. I never received anything even when i had a permanent address via mail. I made them aware of the fact several that I am currently unhoused and unemployed, and often have less than $30 to my name. Any financial assistance I receive goes to basic daily needs, food, water, and occasional shelter when I can afford it. I literally never know where my next meal will come from, much less have enough to pay on a debt that's not mineBusiness response
