The initial stages of our project with Anchor Tiny House began positively with ************, an excellent sales representative, and ******************, the Construction Site Manager, providing follow-up. However, Anchor Tiny House later discovered an error in their planning process, leading to ongoing issues and a lack of clear communication.Our plans, approved by the City in January 2024, were hindered by a site layout mismeasurement despite having completed a TOPO survey for the Architect. Please note, the architect, never visited the site. Before final plan approval, a new Water Heater Closet was added, requiring an additional pad. I received confirmation from Anchor that this addition was included in our contract.After receiving City permit approval, discrepancies emerged during our Construction Team meeting regarding the fit of the plans to our site. We were instructed to move a retaining wall and stairs to meet ******'s overlooked setback requirements, costing us over $20,000 to proceed with the project.Subsequent site visits by the Construction team revealed that the adjustments made to the retaining walls and stairs were inadequate due to a persistent measurement error. Since then, Anchor has failed to provide clear and timely updates on our project status for over four months, despite repeated emails and phone calls to the business owners / Team. *************************** initially responded, but subsequently deferred to *************************, Director of Construction/Operations, whose responses consisted of generic assurances that the design team was addressing the issue. This lack of substantive updates has been ongoing for several months.It appears Anchor is avoiding accountability. Originally scheduled for completion in May, ongoing delays and errors have left us with a disrupted backyard and unexpected costs related to relocating structures. These delays have also potentially impacted our rental income. What are the owners/executives of Anchor TH doing to resolve this matter?
