On 7.8.2023 at 4pm we visited Seaquest & used tokens (value $2 per token) to obtain food to feed the Arapaimas (fish in aquarium) as a part of the aquarium experience. The food is held in vending machines. This specific vending machine was broken and took the token without distributing the food. This happens often as about 40 -50% of their machines are broken each time we go. Up to this point it has frustrating but tolerable because a staff member always helped and reimbursed with no hesitation.Today, I attempted to tell the only available staff member that the machine ate our token and she proceeded to say you have to go back to that exhibit and get help there because we can't leave our stations. I responded that no one was available there and I had never been advised that way before. I then mentioned going to the front and getting a token reimbursement there if she was unable to.As I walked to the front the same staff member that stated they couldn't leave their station, was up front helping someone else? I waited, no response, then i walked over to another staff member, no acknowledgement or response. Then we approached a 4th staff member and she promptly told me that I had to return to the front to get help there. I explained what the last staff member told me to go back to the exhibit area and find someone there (which would be her) and explained that I had already spoken to another person who advised me differently. We left Seaquest out of frustration and spend our entire time requesting a replacement.Lastly, if we spend $20 on tokens and half of them are taken we are spending money on a product we are not getting. One might assume it is intentional and an inethical business practice to collect money from tokens sold and release half the product to save/make money at our expense.

Unbelievable! This place is a H*** hole for the animals. The smell coming into the facility made me want to vomit. The animals were in great distress. Some looked to be dying and very sick. Hot, obviously no appropriate temperature regulation. Too many animals for their enclosures. Witnessed animals trying to get away and lashing out. One little girl started screaming after she was bit. The Management gave the parents Corporate's contact information. There was no joy here but absolute misery. How in God's name is a place like this open to the public. There needs to be laws that prevent Corporations profiting from animal neglect and animal abuse from operating!!
