            2nd issue I called with and they do not want to cover either. Most recently I called in a service request for a water heater issue. The plumber came out and said it needs to be replaced. They are telling me they want me to pay $780. Their site clearly states they are better than everyone else because they cover wear and tear and old products but they are only partially paying? I can buy one and get it installed for that price without the home warranty! I have already paid $125 for this service call & the same for the other issue so now I am out $250 for absolutely NOTHING!!

            If I could give less than one star, I would. I enrolled with American Home Warranty when I purchased my first home. The only time I attempted to use the service, they told me I would have to find someone to do the work, get it approved by them, have the work done, and they'd pay it. Completely different than what was included in my agreement. I should have cancelled then, but I did not. A couple of months ago I was having an issue in my home and I go online to file a claim. There website is no where to be found. I search for a phone number. Found nothing. Did a ****** search and learned about all the litigation against them in various states, read that they had gone out of business without telling their customers and no one had been able to reach them. A payment had just come out of my account, so I disputed. It was only then that they emailed me with their "New" information. Then they contested the disputed charge saying that I had just emailed them to cancel. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. It's definitely shady. We told them to cancel everything and went with another warranty company.
