Car offered online for approximately $17700. When I sit down with the manager, he gives me a quote of over $22000, including over $2000 of unwanted add-ons. After telling him I dont want the add-ons, he tells me and my wife to sign the quote as a gentlemans agreement in an attempt to coerce us to pay the price he quoted us before going any further. We asked to see the contract language regarding the add-ons, and he refused.

On October 20th, I purchased a 2012 Land Rover LR2 from Auto Republic in Fullerton, remitting the payment of $12,500 for the vehicle through a cashier's check. Unfortunately, shortly after acquiring the vehicle and covering a mere 24 miles, it experienced a breakdown, specifically attributable to a malfunctioning alternator. Due to work commitments, it took me two days to return the vehicle to the dealership.Upon retrieval, the check engine light was extinguished; however, this proved to be a temporary resolution, as the issue recurred within 50 miles. ************* I have returned the vehicle to the dealership on five separate occasions, with the problem persisting. Despite their attempts to rectify the matter, including clearing warning lights, the underlying issues, encompassing a fuel intake leak, vacuum leak, a malfunctioning fuel injector, and a faulty catalytic converter, remain unaddressed.Regrettably, the dealership has been uncooperative in furnishing documentation pertaining to the undertaken repairs, and interactions with their personnel have been marked by rudeness. Expressing dissatisfaction with the unreliable nature of the vehicle, especially given my profession as an Uber driver, I proposed an exchange for an alternative vehicle. However, the dealership has declined to cooperate or explore viable solutions. This lack of responsiveness has left me disheartened, as I invested $12,500 in a vehicle that has proven to be consistently unreliable, breaking down in close proximity to the dealership. I am deeply disappointed in the overall service provided by Auto Republic, feeling that my consumer rights are being disregarded. It is disconcerting that, despite having alternative vehicles on their lot they chose to hold onto my car for days with no explanation on the work they did i had to rent a car to take care of my obligations Auto Republic is unwilling to accommodate any reasonable resolution. I caution others against engaging with this establishment and express my dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs.

On 10/28 I bought a 2017 jeep wrangler. On 10/29 I discovered a large coolant leak, on 10/2 we discovered a loud clanking noise when turning the wheel. On 11/3 I went to the dealership to ask to rewrite the contract (requested by our credit union) and told no, I then asked if I could return the vehicle due to the issues weve been experiencing and was told no. The sales manager told me Im not going to waste my time with you. On the way home from the dealership 11/3 the check engine light came on, traction control light came on, and we lost all power to the engine. On 11/7 I attempted taking jeep to dealership in hopes of getting these issues repaired through the insurance we purchased with the jeep and was told the insurance doesnt kick in until my first payment is made with the jeep. The attendant did however test my battery and determined I needed a new one soon as my current one was low. I left the dealership without having any maintinence completed on the jeep.
