      SL Finance representative said they could file for student loan forgiveness on my behalf. I supplied all requested information and paid $199.75 each month for 5 months for the service. **** from SL Finance informed me that everything was completed and approved. I need to make 120 payments on my loans and the remainder would be forgiven. I was talking with my loan service company to check on things and was informed that I was not in the forgiveness program and to complete more documentation. This company did not provide the service I paid them for. Furthermore they represented that they worked directly with the government loan office which I now question.

      This company was to pay off the remainder of my student loans. I paid them 4 installments of 200 plus dollars each time. They never finished the repayment to loan resulting in me having a balance still that I was completely unaware of until recently.

      Date of transaction was **** 27, 2022 I signed a contract to pay $1,200.00 in four monthly installments and then to pay $39.00 per month after the initial $1,200.00. I did this, making my first monthly payment of $300.00 on **** 27, 2022, the next $300.00 on July 27, 2022, the next $300.00 payment on August 27, 2022, and the next $300.00 on September 27, 2022. Then, beginning October 27, 2022, I began paying $39.00 per month. I was told that if I made these payments every month, on time, with no lapses, that in 10 years what was left of my student loan would be wiped clean and I would no longer owe. I thought it was strange when I noticed that on my monthly bank statements for **** and July, 2023, I did not see the automatic withdrawal of $39.00. I have done some digging and see that there are law suits against this company for fraud. I have also learned that my contract with ****** had never had any of the money that I paid applied to my account. Now, I am to start paying my deferred loan with ****** in September 2023. I want my money back from this scamming company! I was stupid in trusting them, and I admit that. However, I paid them faithfully, every month, and I expect them to pay me back every dollar that I paid them! After writing this complaint, what do I do and what are my chances of getting my money back? Please help me! I'm not made of money; I need this money back. I'm so upset and I don't know what to do from here. I can provide copies of the contract and my bank statements. Please help me!!!

      SLFinance.org contacted me about enrolling in the Public Student Loan Forgiveness Program. They claimed to work for the **** of ********** I was told that I needed to pay 5 monthly payments of $199 and that money would be applied to my loan balance. I was told that my credit would show that the loan was paid in full, but that I would be paying $30 for 120 months to the program. They took my $1000 and now their site is down. Nothing was applied to my loan and I was not enrolled in the **** by them, as they said I would be. The business is a scam.

      This company said that they were going to help me with school loan forgiveness. I signed up with them in 2022 and have not heard from them with several attempts to reach out to them to find out the status. I understand they no longer in business is there any kind of action to get reimbursed for the money given to them

      I made payments to SL FINANCE LLC since November 2020 til May 2023. I have paid a total of $1540 to this company for student loan consolidation/forgiveness. I received notice that company has been suspended. They are responsible for student loan debt relief. They continued to take money from my checking account until they were suspended or lawsuit file as of April 24, 2023. A restraining order was issued on May 2. I spoke with 4 different individuals about my student loan prior to the notice dated June 23, 2023. In 2020, SL FINANCE stated they was legit and stated to me my balance of my student loan. I was told I can apply for forgiveness. I made 4 payment(monthly of ******) to bring to good status to qualify for low monthly payment which I thought was an interest bearing or income driven agreement. I spoke with ***** on 07/20/2022 at 125pm about the PSLF/TEPSLF and ***** at 134pm on 07/20/2022 from **** OF ED/****-ED FINANCIAL about the forgiveness program again. I was told I missed a payment and in order to qualify I had to make 240 consecutive payments to quailfy. Payments from me were made monthly and if I wasnt able to make payment I was to give them a call to reschedule payment(which was stated it will be placed at the end of the contract). My student loan BALANCE(per federal aid) is still the same and no payments were made to it.

      SL Financial reached out to me after filling out student loan forgiveness forms on the Federal Student Aid website. They had all my loan information correct and give me information that didn't make me think twice about if what they were saying was true. They said that I qualified for a student loan forgiveness program and set me up with everything I needed to get started. They have my SSN number and I made 5 $200 payments to them and 2 $39 payments before reaching out to my loan servicer and finding out none of these payments had been made. I have filed a claim with my financial institute and on the *** website. I changed my bank account and SL Financial sends me emails warning my about going into default.

      I RECEIVED A CALL FROM SL FINANCE IEARLIER IN THE **** 2022, N REGARDS TO GETTING HELP WITH STUDENT LOAN DEBT. SL FINANCE PRESENTED A GOOD WAY FOR MYSELF TO WORK TOWARDS CLEARING THAT DEBT., SO IT LED ME TO BELIEVE THE PAYMENTS I MADE TOWARDS THIS WILL GIVE SOME OF THE FINACES I BORROWED FROM THE GOVERNMENT. I WANTED TO SHOW I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT I HAVE BORROWED AND TO WELCOMED THE ASSISTANCE OF CLEARING THE REST.OF THAT DEBT. FOR ABOUT SIX TO ELEVEN *****S I HAVE BEEN CALLING EVERY 24TH OF THE ***** TO PUSH THE PAYMENTS BACK, I WASN'T IN THE POSITIONN TO START MAKING THEM. EVEN WITH THAT, I HAD YET TO FINISH THE PROCESS OF CONTINUING BECAUSE I DIDN'T UPLOAD THE PAYCHECK STUB PROCESS TO VERIFY INCOME. SL FINANCE DECIDED ON 12/23/2022 TO PLAY THE "CAUGHT YOU GAME," AND EXTRACTED PAYMENT FOR ****** FROM MY ACCOUNT ON 12/23/2022. I CALLED SL FINANCE ON 12/23/2022 AT 10:47AM, THE CALL LASTED 15 MINS. IN THIS CALL, I ASKED WHY DID THAT PAYMENT EXTRACT A DAY EARLY THAN WHAT THE ORIGNALLY SCHEDULED DATE IS AND IF I COULD BE REFUNDED AND PROCEED AT A LATER DATE. SL FINANCE REPLIED THAT THE PAYMENT ALREADY WENT THROUGH, THEY CANNOT ISSUE A REFUND, AND THE 23RD WAS WHAT MY PAYMENT DATE HAD BEEN CHANGED TO. I DIDNT UNDERSTAND SEEING THAT THE CONTRACT STATES THE 24TH, AND I CALLED EVERY 24TH OF THE ***** FOR THE PAST 6 TO 11 *****S TO PUSH THE PAYMENT BACK, AND WITHOUT INCIDENT UNTIL NOW.

      SL Finance reached out to me regarding about paying my student loans. I made a payment on 10/21/22 for $199.80 and found out that this company is not associated with the **** ********** of ********** The U.S. ********** never asked for a payment.

      The agent misrepresented she told me that they are counter part took all my info dob full name employment status and changed my password in student aid.gov took all the info including and lock me out without my consent when I reach out my service provider they told me that they are scam. Its identity theft issue
