Bought a *********** SMLIF mattress. The first mattress was replaced due to one side sinking in. The new replacement is hard and does not soften even when set at the lowest level. The mattress is uncomfortable and is causing back and side pain. We have called for resolution and they want to charge me and I have not heard back from upper management.Initial Complaint

On June 3, 2020 purchase a mattress, box spring and Silver Encasement for a total of $******** from Sit n' Sleep with store manager ******************************************************************* telephone number ************ sales order *********. It was delivered on June 5, 2020. After 6 months the mattress was sinking in the middle. I called ******** at Sit n' Sleep to complain. He told me that he will have the mattress inspector set up an appointment with me and will come to my house to inspect the mattress. *************************** came and inspected my mattress and did notice the big indentation. After a week I called ******** again and he told me that they did approved and gave me a store credit of $949.99. So I went back to Sit n' Sleep and pick out a different mattress the sales order number ********* on Jan. 23, 2021 and paid the difference of $109.50 more. They delivered it on Jan. 30, 2021, I put on the silver encasement to protect the second mattress again. On September 21, 2021 I called ******** again to complain about the second mattress having the same problem. I called *************************** in *************. phone number ***********8 with ***** to make an appointment for mattress inspection. It took me two months to have them inspect the mattress. Have waited two weeks and call Sit n' Sleep again to find out if the inspection was approved. ******** is no longer at that store location. They have an new manager and I didn't catch her name. She told me they had approved me a full credit of ********. She told me that they cannot refund my money and to come in again and select a new mattress. I wish to return their mattress and box spring for a full refund of $******** plus taxes and recycling fees. I do not want to purchase their inferior products. This has cost me to much distress from this kind of service and body aches due to bad mattresses. I would greatly appreciate your help with this problem.Business response

They are not accepting a very des satisfied customer with their process and merchandise. I just want to receive my refund to find a better mattress and service and if not happy with product refund without going thru so much hassle. We are not the manufacturer - any mattress we sell is made by same manufacturers that produce for other retailers. We are a reputable business that is not known to sell "inferior" products. We are sorry customer has not had a great experience so far but we stand behind the warranty and are only offering the option to exchange. I am not satisfied with their product and wish for my refund. Please see attached copy of a previous customer that was not satisfied either and received his money back from Sit and Sleep. I purchased a mattress with a total of over******* Within days the peripheries collapsed, essentially leaving me only the middle of the king size mattress. And this mid section has become bulky, feeling very uncomfortable. And when I sleep, the top collapses even more, making me wake up with my neck at a painful angle. I tried to return it, they said they only exchange with 20% penalty. They call it restocking fee, but it's really to make money from the sales no matter the outcome. They have sold me a very obviously defectively designed mattress, but they will make money off of it regardless. Then they said they will send someone and if it is defective, they will exchange at no cost. However considering the moral of this company, selling a design that is obviously designed to collapse and fail and their no return policy, I have no interest to purchase another mattress from them. What will be next? Again days of sleeping on another uncomfortable mattress, followed by sleeping on the floor and begging them to give my hard earned $1500 back? And if they meant good will, they would let me buy a comfortable mattress, but they want me to buy something with the same value or more, again their focus and end point is to make money, without caring about the customer. I just want my money back. I am even forgoing the pain and suffering of the few nights I tried out the mattress, in the hopes it would settle. And the nights afterwards when I had to sleep on the floor.Business response
