      I was doing a search on my self just out of curiosity. I went ahead to do my search and I did not match anything on your database. And as a result of this I was sent a notification that because I didn’t have any match I had a chance to do a second search for no additional charge and if I still didn’t have a match I wouldn’t be charged any fee or additional fee for the second time either. As your business stated it would be a “one time charge” I have to admit I am surprised that not only was I charged twice for what I was guaranteed would only be a one time thing but also went ahead and enrolled me for a monthly subscription and was also charged. I understand that anything less than $50 can slip between the line and not be noticeable but it is not the money so much that I am making a statement for but rather the principal of the act and let’s also mention the lack of integrity. False propaganda. It is not ok to do this. I came across your services and walked in with an open mind and I wasn’t expecting any reimbursement for the initial charge for requesting your service even after I did not have any match. It was your business who sent me a notification offering a second try which was great and for that I thought to myself now that is a business that is interested in playing fair with the customer but now I have a different opinion. I wasn’t expecting much of it but was rather lured in by the “shocking info” “secret accounts” “exposed cheater’s” and dramatic signs that made it suspenseful that had me excited about what could possibly be out there about me i had no idea was out for the public to know but me. I wasn’t expecting any of this. I can’t deny feeling a sense of being taken advantage of for giving your services an opportunity for fair business. I followed through with integrity and I’d appreciate getting that in return. As I looked to reference the charges I sadly encountered even more charges I had no idea were even there.       My sincere apologies for the misunderstanding. Upon doing my research of the potential business from who the charges were from I was misled to yours. Since it was also the only one who granted me access to my “membership account” it was easy to assume and confuse me. As I meant to ill will to your business I do politely ask that my membership to your business is terminated if yet not already since I wasn’t interested in one to begin with. Thank you for all your help and cooperation with this matter.

We see that an account was created through our website on 9/25/22 and then billed the normal monthly fee on 10/3/22 and again the following month on 11/3/22. The account was billed because it was active at the time of each billing. We are not sure what you experienced, but we don’t have any record of a request to cancel your account either online through your account, via email, or by phone through our automated system or live agent support. We do have an option that allows consumers to unsubscribe their email addresses from receiving potential marketing communications, but this is not the same as canceling an account. Maybe this is what happened? We have confirmed that your account is canceled and you will not be billed further. We have also refunded your monthly fees.       After seeing a family members "public record" being posted all over social media by someone who is trying to use it against us, we knew something was wrong. This "public record" had over 10 FELONIES under criminal history!! We knew that was untrue so we went to the sheriff's office and did a national background check and guess what? Clean. I called and all I was told was they would remove thier information. NO! I want it to be corrected! BECAUSE YOU HAVE DAMAGED THIS FAMILIES REPUTATION BY REPORTING FAKE INFORMATION! And all I was told was "sorry" well sorry isn't good enough. We are being harassed because of this fake crimal history and it is ALL PUBLICDATACHECKS FAULT

      The original trial was $1 on august 10th. The trial was for 7 days. However, I went on the website to cancel it that following Monday the 15th (5days) and the site had said the membership was cancelled (in red bold letters) and I was still Able to use it until 9/9/2022 (screenshots provided). I took a screenshot that day because I thought it was odd that it was already cancelled. What this company did was ended my trial early and gave me a month worth of time to use it and stated it’s cancelled and hoped I wouldn’t notice the date (which I didn’t) than charged me on the 7th day $29.96. I used the site that first day and found all information was outdated or unavailable. This also goes against the FTC ACT. “The FTC Act prohibits unfair or deceptive advertising in any medium. That is, advertising must tell the truth and not mislead consumers. A claim can be misleading if relevant information is left out or if the claim implies something that's not true.” I called the company during business hours and there voicemail states I’m calling out of hours, nor have they responded to my email either and I’d like to be refunded. I didn’t use the service let alone want a full months worth of one. Very misleading and they make it impossible (if at all) to get in touch with them. They give no options to click to cancel and state it’s already canceled in bold red so what was I to do? They just hopped I wouldn’t notice my bank statement . I don’t get it.

We see that 3 different accounts were created with 3 different email addresses and this appears to be the cause of your confusion. Accounts are not linked and canceling one account does not cancel other accounts. Accounts were created on 6/8, 6/18, and 8/10. The account that was created on 6/8 (gareau.f…[email protected]) was canceled online 3 days later on 6/11. The 2nd account that was created on 6/18 (c*****…[email protected]) was canceled automatically by our system because we were not able to process the payment for July. The system attempted to reprocess the payment again in Aug, but it was unsuccessful and the account was automatically canceled. As a courtesy, we provided access to this account through 9/9. You provided a screenshot confirming that this account was canceled. Your 3rd account (crazy4.…@aim.com) that was set up on 8/10 was never canceled and this is why you were billed the normal monthly fee for this account. We are sorry that we missed your calls on the morning of 8/18. Our website lists our hours as 5am - 9pm PT (Pacific Time). There is a 3 hour time difference from ET (Eastern Time) and it was still before 5am when you called. This is why you were not able to connect with a live representative. We did receive your email shortly after at 5:04am and replied to you that morning to confirm that your account was canceled. We asked you to call us for any additional assistance but did not hear from you. As a courtesy we have refunded your monthly fee and we can confirm that all 3 accounts are canceled.       I signed up with this phoney website for a dollar trial and it said I can cancel at any time before the week is up to avoid more charges. Well once I realized that the people you are searching they never seem to find. Also it had all different searches like sex offender search, social security search, phone number search, reverse phone search, amd then all of the sudden the only thing on my app is the people search and nothing else I tried to cancel my subscription however, there is no where on the app or website now to cancel. The only thing that pops up everytime is people search. I've tried logging in and back out, resetting, phone, and still same thing. I do NOT want to be charged a membership. I'm starting to see that this is one big scam they have running.

      I filed a complaint against this company 3 weeks ago and haven't heard back from them. They posted false information about me on there website and claimed there was nothing they could do about it. Why are they posting false information about me in the first place.

      I am rejecting this response because:I had to sign a relaese form from the NH state police which cost 25 dollars. There are no felony arrests or convictions on my crimanal record. Your website has 2 felony convictions under my name. This has tarnished my good name and defamed my character.       Simply removing the false information you posted on line about me doesn't begin to compensate me for the damage yuor company has caused me.  Ihave posted a copy of the documentation your company would have needed in order to find crimanal information about me. If I had granted you permission to access my crimanel background you would have discovered that I have no felony arrests or convictions. Perhaps the BBB is not the forum we need to resolve this issue.Should we let a court of law decide this instead?
