I rented a house from Aug. 2006 until Dec.2021. During this period I paid Town and Coastal over $285,000. Town and Coastal refused to return my security deposit and violated Calif Civil code 1950.5 by not submitting a detailed invoice within the required 21 day. When the sent an UNDATED list of repairs, they charged $250 for carpet cleaning, although they had replaced the carpet shortly after my vacating the property. I has a sworn declaration of this fact. In addition, also charged over $1500 for cleaning aside from the fact we had family travel from San Francisco two weekends to clean everything from walls to floors, a sworn declaration is available to BBB if requested. According to law “ broom clean “ is only required after 15 years and 4 months. I would urge BBB to investigate these acquisitions and advice your clients to avoid Town and Coastal Property Management.
