Dear Better Business Bureau,I am filing a formal complaint against Collection Bureau of America regarding a disputed debt in the amount of $1,016, which they claim originated on September 30, 2024.I do not have a legal contract with this company, and upon requesting validation of the debt, they have failed to provide me with a copy of the original contract that legally obligates me to this alleged debt. Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) 15 U.S.C. 1692g, I have the right to request proper validation of the debt, including a copy of the original agreement bearing my signature. Collection Bureau of America has not furnished this documentation, yet they continue to report and attempt to collect on this account.Due to their failure to provide proof of a legally binding contract, I am formally disputing this debt and requesting that Collection Bureau of America cease all collection efforts, remove any negative reporting related to this account from my credit file, and provide written confirmation that this debt has been resolved.I request that the Better Business Bureau investigate this matter and assist in ensuring Collection Bureau of America complies with applicable laws. If they are unable to provide the necessary documentation proving the validity of this debt, they must stop all collection activities and remove the item from my records.Thank you for your time and assistance in resolving this issue. I look forward to your response.Sincerely,

Dear ************ at the BBB I am writing this formal complaint Towards: Collection Bureau of America I pulled My credit Report after Receiving this Intimidating Letter with an Intimidating Collection Amount, Dated: January 22, 2025 in the amount of $3,188.52. And I found that Collection Bureau of America has been Reporting on my credit reports for the past few years. Now let me Backtrack a little, Mid last year I had another Collection agency send me a collection notice for the same PGE account and I sent them a 609 Validation letter. They just sent me an Itemized Bill (which is not a proper form Validation!) after I called them out on it, the following month I was being sued by them. I then retained an attorney and in court it came to light that that account they were coming after me for had no viable contract with my signature from *** nor did I have a contractual agreement with the Debt Buyer/collector. My attorney also asked for validated proof of a Purchase agreement the outcome was that the account was not mine. I demand that Collection Bureau of America: Seize and desist any and all forms of Communication, collection attempts and collection reporting to any credit reporting agency Immediately, until they can provide all proper Validation as required By ****. (I was already awarded $1000.00 per violation on the previous case and I am very well aware of my Rights as a consumer!) So far Collection Bureau of America, Has violated: 15 USC 1692k civil liability for Damages 15 USC 1681e(b) accuracy of reports. 15 USC 1681s-2(b) Responsibilities of furnishers. 15 USC 1681s-2(a) Reporting information with actual knowledge of errors. 15 USC 1692g(a) Failure to provide notice of consent on an initial Communication. 15 USC 1692c(a) Failure to give prior consent for attempting to communicate and collect on a debt. 15 USC 1692d(2) The use of profane language used and meant to harass, intimidate or stress an individual.

I am not liable for this debt with CBA Collection Bureau. I do not have a contract with this collection agency. They did not provide me with the original contract as requested. According to the Fair Credit Report Section the consumer should be provided evidence of a written contract from original creditor. I haven't received such from CBA Collection Bureau therefore I request this reporting be deleted from all credit reporting agencies.

I received a call from CBA regarding a bill for my daughter ***** who is a college student. She graduated high school in June 2024, and she has no job. I stated that the number they have is my number and that she is not home, and she is at school. I also stated that if this is a medical bill, I paid a bill a few months. The *** **** up on me after I asked for them to not call me especially since he couldn't tell me what the call was about. I called back and spoke to a supervisor and said is this what you guys allow? You allow an employee to hang up on people and be rude. She said no and that she would look it up to find out who hung up on me. I don't trust that so I am filing a complaint. She did tell me that it was a medical bill from Midwest Neurology. I advised this bill was paid through my *** and that I would reach out to Midwest Neurology as I nor my daughter owes CBA.
