              They were engaged to install a replacement window on 7/21/2023. I was told the job would require the setting up scaffolding and take 3 days. The price seemed reasonable, considering the extra labor and time for the scaffolding. I asked for the original Pella window to be left on the job in an email that was CCd to all their departments and explained that I would be using it for replacement parts for an identical window. Replacement parts for this vintage of Pella are no longer made. The lack of these parts, including the moveable window panel, will force me to replace the identical window decades sooner.On 1/3/24 they installed the new window in half a day and took the original window. I wrote asking for the original window. They wrote a series of fabrications about why they had thrown it out and suggested I buy the parts from them.As a compromise, I have suggested they provide me with an uninstalled window of the same type or make a reduction of $1500, less than it will cost me to replace the one they took. At this point, there is still a balance I have not paid.
