We bought a used engine that came to ** with broken parts. We brought it to a local shop that found multiple issues with it. When we tried to get it resolved with ********************************************* Auto they wanted us to pay for shipping it back with no guarantees that we would get a new engine that worked or our money back and that they would charge us a 30% restocking for a bad engine. They have refused to send us an invoice with our signature on it stating we knew that it was bought as is. We never signed anything or verbally agreed to as is. We want a refund for the engine that we had to replace parts on to make it functional but not useful. I have attached the invoice from the mechanic we used and the invoice they sent to *********** stated we signed in our dispute there since they refuse to send us one.

My brother owns **** Auto Repair, a mechanic shop. We bought a transmission for a 2016 ******* from the business disputed on 10/23/2023. When I made the order over the phone I made sure to specify which transmission we needed and they still somehow sent us the wrong one, we called to get a refund and they made us drive 60 miles to them twice, just to say they are closed and can't help us at the moment. After going back and forth for a couple of days and dealing with disrespectful employees over the phone, they finally got the transmission from us on Tuesday 10/31/2023. I met up with a driver in Upland and gave him the transmission, and I was told they would inspect it and issue us a refund the next day. The day after, I called and asked about the refund and they said the inspection would take 2 days. I called today again and asked about it, they said they will send us a check next monday, but they will be charging us a 30% restocking fee. Im just not happy with that because the product is being returned due to a mistake on their end, not ours. Especially after making me drive to them not once, but twice. And on top of everything, having to deal with disrespectful people over the phone.

      Good morning,

Unfortunately, the customer had placed an order for the wrong type of transmission for his Kia *** '16; there are 2 options for that particular vehicle to which the client decided to place the order for the cheaper option.  The one he ordered is worth about $600-$800; however, the proper transmission he should have ordered is worth about $1500.  A return for the transmission was accepted already and the appropriate refund has already been issued via mail.  Also, please take into consideration, the customer made us order a different type of transmission once he figured the original order was placed incorrectly.   That transmission arrived at our facility and the customer never picked it up. Instead of paying for the second transmission he had ordered, the customer reached a different business to purchase it from.  Now we have to pay transportation and restocking fees for the 2nd transmission the consumer ordered.  This concern has already been cleared and the respective refund has been issued.  If you have any questions of concerns please feel free to reach us during our operating hours.

I ordered an engine to be shipped to a business address, using my personal credit card. the engine was $3600. German Auto sent me a form to fill out, The morning after I placed the order, German Auto called the business (they didn't call me, my number was on the order.) to say they couldn't ship to the address because the credit card didn't match the shipping address. The business called me and I called German Auto to ask the status of the order, German Auto told me that the order had been canceled. Within less than 24 hours, German Auto charged me a 30% restocking fee of $1080

I purchased a used transmission that had 90 days of warranty. I received the first transmission on 3/16/23 Unfortunately the transmission did not work . The seller offered to exchange it for another one. I received the second exchanged transmission on 3/22/23 . This second transmission also did not work. I contacted again & was told by "****" to bring it in and they will give another transmission. My customer had a family emergency and had to leave the country. I brought the transmission back 7/6/23 & now **** is refusing to take it back . That its out of warranty now. I explained my situation since the first transmission i didn't get one that actually worked. He said that he couldn't do anything that it has been out of warranty. I told him its been only 14 days out of warranty & the transmission never worked ! Thats stealing from your customers. I would never bought it from them if i knew that i was going to get something that does not work . I requested to talk to someone above ******* was told that i could not talk to someone else. All i want is a transmission that functions 100% or a refund.

      To whom it *** concern,

We hope this message finds you well. We are writing to address the recent complaint for a replacement or refunds for the transmission Mr. **** purchased from our company on March 14th, 2023. We understand your concerns, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. However, we regret to inform you that we are unable to fulfill the request as it falls outside the 90-day warranty period.

When you purchased the transmission, it was accompanied by a 90-day warranty, which provided coverage for malfunctions that *** have occurred during that period. The warranty, by its nature, has a fixed duration and is meant to safeguard against immediate issues that *** arise shortly after the purchase.

Regrettably, the warranty expired on June 12th, 2023, which means that we are no longer able to provide a replacement for the transmission free of charge. As an organization committed to maintaining transparency and upholding our warranty policies, we must adhere to the terms and conditions outlined at the time of purchase.

We understand that **** made an attempt to obtain a replacement on July 6th, 2023, after the warranty had already expired. We genuinely empathize with your situation and recognize your desire for a resolution. However, we are unable to make exceptions once the warranty period has lapsed. This policy ensures fairness and consistency in our dealings with all customers.

In light of the expired warranty, we would like to explore alternative options to assist Mr. **** further. We encourage Mr. **** to reach out to our customer service department to discuss possible solutions. While we are unable to offer a replacement free of charge, we *** be able to provide an unit at a discounted rate to help resolve the issue at a reduced cost.

Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience caused by the expiration of the warranty. We appreciate your understanding in this matter and look forward to assisting **** in finding a satisfactory solution.

The business sold me a defective transmission & i need a replacement transmission that works 100% or a refund. Exceptions are made in all business.Your customers should be a priority! Based on all reviews in ****** i can clearly see that this business are clearly scamming people. Its clearly that the business knew they were selling a defective transmission in the first place. If the unit was in working condition it would of function even after 90 days. Seems to me that the business is selling a transmission that they know will fail within 90 days & expecting the customer to purchase another transmission at a "discounted price" .

12/21/2022 we purchased a full engine for 2013 AUDI A6 from German ******************************************** Parts for $3000.00. Located at: **********************************************************************: ************ A few days later we received the engine. The following day, installation started. After installation, we tried to start the engine, but the ***** engine did not respond. We called German Korean to see if there was the possibility of sending us another engine because the one, they sent us was not working. German Korean representative got all rude and started to be accusing us that we had messed up the engine. After some words exchanged with the representative, he said that he will send someone to pick up the engine and they were going to start an investigation. German Korean came and picked the engine. A few days passed by and no follow up from German Korean. After a few days passed by we called and talked to the representative explained what happened and that we really needed the engine or the money back, the rep says that an internal investigation was going on. After that we let a few days passed by, expecting a call from German ********************************* but since there was none. We decided to go to the location stated on the invoice we got from them. Upon arrival to the location, we noticed that there was no business there it was closed and no way to contact anyone in person. We called again, and a rep answered. We had to explained everything what happened again, and the rep says someone will call you back. A few days passes but again no call from German. We called again, the rep answered and same process, explained everything for one more time and that someone will call us back. Its been a while since we talked with German Korean Used Parts for last time and since there was no follow up from German Korean, we decided to call on 3/10/2023 and Rep answered and said that they will call us back on Monday of Tuesday with a resolution. Until now no follow up from German Korean 3/17/23

On November 18, I bought an engine from this company. In total, I paid $1985 alone on the engine and shipping (not including the amount for the replacement parts I had to purchase). I spoke with a salesperson named ****, that committed to the following: 1. gave a guarantee that the engine was in very good condition, had low miles, and it would be complete with a 90 day warranty.2. That the engine I was purchasing came from a vehicle with a manual transmission. However, the engine was not as described, there were many damaged components, and once installed, the engine made a rod knock that was indicative this engine has internal damage. I sent them back the engine per their recommendation, and they have not responded to my calls, they won't send me my money back either. When I call the company to speak with anyone that might be able to assist me, they end the call. As of now, my calls won't go through either.I'm very frustrated as I feel I have been lied to and have had no help from the seller. In total, I have spent $1985 alone on the engine and shipping (not including the amount for the replacement parts I had to purchase). I'm hoping that you might be able to please help me on this issue, with at least having them return my money, as I have sent them back their engine, which did not arrive as described, and I have not received a refund or any communication from them. I have attached the invoice I received from them, when I initially purchased the engine.

      Good morning,

********** opened a return for a replacement after the warranty on the engine had expired.  We requested ********** to return the engine for an inspection even when the warranty had already expired.  The engine was returned missing multiple parts and also missing all the heat taps (used to verify if the engine had been overheated).  When we asked *** about the missing items and missing heat taps he plain and simple became defensive about it and ignored the questions.

Obviously ********** overheated the engine and attempted to hide the evidence.  We offered to provide a one time replacement EVEN when the engine was returned OUT of the warranty period, MISSING parts and MISSING every heat tab.  The engine was already picked up by Paz.  This Complaint is senseless since the customer already has been provided with a replacement out of the warranty period.  This was done out of good business practice to take care of the gentleman.

      Thank you

Tuesday, Jun 14 2022 at 1:12PM I had ordered a engine from this company. The sent me a authorzation form and this was the exact time they took $1600 out of my debit card. They told me to come pick it up. When my driver came, they said it wasn't ready. They never sent me a receipt. They push me out this far, and when I ask for my money back , they refuse. Horrible service, no receipt, no manager to ever receive call. I want my refund!

Purchase an engine for 2007 *** 530i from German & Korean Auto Dismantling Inc. On April 2, ****. I didn't have a great experience with this business. They first delivered an engine which was different than the vehicle that I requested. It took another week to receive another replacement. The second engine had extreme amount of oil sludge/ residue. Informed owner ****** and stated that was a result of heat condensation. After further inspection found oil sludge residue on intake valves, rocker arms, camshafts, lifters. Immediately ask to return engine. Owner stated to deliver another engine they will have to charge me $200. Had engine engine deliver to German and Korean Auto Dismantling. Obtain replacement. Perform inspection, found engine valve cover leaking, missing bolts on cover, found lower engine oil pan leaking, also missing bolts on pan; engine looked inside like it was clean from top cover to lower cover of engine, found oil engine cooler gaskets leaking. Purchased high quality Motul engine oil 5w/30 full premium synthetic, prime engine before starting vehicle to allow oil to travel to upper part of the engine. Vehicle engine lasted a little over a month and engine started make noise on lower part the engine and then vehicle engine shut off completely and then seized. Have made several attempts to speak with owner of business. Have left several messages and no return calls from him. Left messages with his employees, all they stated that the engine has no warranty because I didn't return the core. Agreed with owner at purchase that no engine core was not going to be return. Today, 6/22/22 around 9:47 am received call from ******** employees stating that owner sold the business and that he no longer was responsible for the business. Ask to speak to new owner and was informed that it will not be possible. He only offer to return engine and that they will send the engine to their warranty department that this business uses and will determine for coverage

I bought a used engine claiming to be a low mileage motor (****** miles) that came out of an 07 ****** Tacoma 4.0L V6 on 10/02/21. I was told the motor came out of a running and driving vehicle and it was tested by a 3rd party. A leak-down test and a compression test were apparently done. I work at a ****** Dealership as a technician in ********* and had no issues with using their engines before, so I took their word. I paid them a total of $3,880, $3,700 cash, and $180 on my debit card. The following weekend on Saturday 10/09/21 I installed the motor on my 05 ****** Tacoma. Long story short, there was a problem with the motor they sold me, cylinder #1 had no to low compression, and that they sold me a motor from an 05 Tacoma not an 07. I called them the following Monday, stating they sold me a bad motor and lied about the year it came out of and that I wanted a refund. They gave me two options a replacement motor or 30% restocking fee and store credit. I wanted a full refund.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.  As far as the missing components specifically spark plugs, they were removed due to me performing a compression test.  I have tested each cylinder and have their compression saved for my records.  I was willing and ready to perform a compression test on site for German Korea Auto, hence why the spark plugs were not reinstalled.  The spark plug holes were covered by the ignition coil packs with a bolt to protect each cylinder from debris.

      Regards,
