MY CREDIT REPORT SHOWS A BILL FROM MONTGOMERY WARD , I HAVE NEVER DEALT WITH MONTGOMERY WARDS , HAVE NEVER ORDERED ANYTHING FROM THEM YET SOMEHOW THEY HAVE MY PERSONAL INFO .I HAVE CALLED THEM AND THEY DON"T TELL ME HARDLY ANYTHING. I HAVE NEVER DONE BUSINESS WITH THEM , I CANNOT GET A BANK LOAN BECAUSE OF THIS BEING ON MY CREDIT REPORT , BECAUSE IT"s RUINING MY CREDIT . There was fraudulant activity on this account. I have not used this account in years. I actually thought the account was closed. Everytime that I call customer service, I get the runaround. I have explained this situation over and over, but they insist that I make a payment and continue to report late payment which are impacting my credit score.Initial Complaint

On 10/3/2024, Montgomery Ward presented two payments to my bank, ************ by my debit card. One payment was for $787.56 and the second payment was for $99.00. When these payments were processed my account with ********************** was completely current and the last monthly payment was made on 9/21/224 in the amount $50.00. Neither one of the above payments was made by me nor did i authorize the payments. The result of the erroneous payments presented by Montgomery Ward is that my bank account is overdrawn. After numerous attempts to contact Montgomery Ward on 19/3, I was finally able to contact one of their representatives. I explained to him that these payments were presented by them as a result of their error and he assured me that the payments would be immediately refunded to me. Instead of refunding the payments they continued the processing of the payments through my bank. Now I am going to have to attempt to stop payment on both payments, which will cost me an additional $35.00 per payment Plus my car insurance which is on automatic draft and that payment will be rejected which will cost me an additional $35.00. I want both charges reversed plus reimbursement for all bank charges this is costing me.Initial Complaint

This company is ruining my credit report by saying that I owe them money for a debt that I dont. Apparently, they sent catalogs out to my rental home in *******, a place where I did not reside and some person ordered from them. I wasnt even in the state of ******* at this time and I ordered nothing from them. I have tried to ask them for some kind of validation if they feel I owe it or some kind of proof and they will not respond at all. But they keep continuing to verify with the credit bureau, which is, not legal. They need to provide evidence or remove it from the credit report and they refuse.Initial Complaint

I received a catalog from Montgomery Ward. I've ordered from them in the past, I placed the catalog on my coffee table to be looked at later. My grandchildren, 9 & 11, were visiting and started looking through the catalog. I didn't give a second thought thinking it was completely safe until they started asking me questions about the vibrators they were curious about. They could clearly read sexual health. I looked at the cover and nowhere on there is there a warning about adult content. I contacted Montgomery Ward and attempted to speak to a supervisor who was very rude to me and did not even want to hear my concerns about this. I believe they should have to put a warning label on the cover if they are going to put adult content in their catalog. This was a very uncomfortable situation with myself and young grandchildren which could have been avoided with a simple warning label.Initial Complaint

I bought 2 carpet cleaners back in December ************************************************* July on 2024 one of the carpet cleaners stopped working. I contacted the extended protection plan to get it repaired or replaced when I learned that someone from Montgomery Wards canceled both of my protection plans back in July if 2023. This was done without my permission or authority. When I called Montgomery Wards to inquire about this I was told that the gift ee called in and canceled it. No one has permission or access to my account. And even if they did speak to someone Noone was given permission or authority to make any changes to my account. I was told the supervisor was going to pull the call and listen to find out who was at fault and call me back. I have yet to hear from anyone. I've called back several times always talking to someone else being told someone will get back to me and it never happened.Attached are the names of the people I spoke with and what was told to me.Initial Complaint

I got a product from them and i fell behind on my payment i told them in several phone calls i would pay my whole balance when i found job i got a job and i paid it in full now they are saying they wont extend me credit when in a prior conversation they said if i pay it they will we all fall on hard times i paid my balance and was lied to also they have not reported to credit agencies that i paidInitial Complaint

Someone fraudulently opened and used an account in my name. I reported it and it was supposed to be removed, instead on a $100 credit limit they reported $322 and made my utilization go up to 122% and I lost 63 points. I called them immediately and they have done nothing.
