On July 14, 2023 1:07 pm my couch was "cleaned" by Orange County Steam Masters. I complained to the company as the technician obviously didn't know what he was doing. "Steam" implies "steam," however the couch was pretreated by something that was not safe for the dogs to be around for a certain amount of time and then the guy's vacuum was hooked up to my outdoor spigot and the couch was flooded with water which literally poured off the couch onto the laminate floors. It took almost 3 days for the couch to dry - not the 4-5 hours the technician said. It dried with an obvious smelly rough film. The microfiber couch will basically never be the same. I paid $119.00. When the guy left, he said he "mopped up" the water on the floor and the floors wouldn't be damaged. I later found a sopping wet paper towel and puddles of water around the couch. I literally cleaned the floors 3 times to get the water off, then used my laminate cleaner, then steamed the floors, the the laminate cleaner again and I could still see residue. I sent the company photos of the couch that showed the dirt left over. The only thing I heard back from the complaint line *************) is them asking for the receipt that the technician left here, which I, unfortunately, have not been able to find yet. I did receive a receipt for the cleaning via text from "Carpet Cleaning CA" with a ********* address and phone *************). The technician asked for payment up front and, after he said they would just enter the card and not charge it until the appointment was over, I went ahead and did it, even though my gut was saying don't. I was leaving town the next week and didn't want to find another company. ****** learned. They haven't responded to my saying I haven't found the receipt. I have since read bad reviews on their website and a note from "Steam Masters" saying that this company is not the real Steam Master, but an imposter.
