I have very similar complaints against Gentle Dental, except the office is called '*********' in ******, **. SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF AGGRAVATION. Just don't go to any of their locations, which, unfortunately there are many. Same issues as others: 1. Misdiagnosis. Gentle Dental said my senior spouse had SIX cavities, plus gum disease. Of course, they suggested a super expensive treatment plan. We got a second opinion: NO cavities, no gum disease! (I knew my flossing husband was an oral health fanatic) Only one of two things could have happened here: The "dentist" and staff are utterly incompetent / Or they're falsifying readings to covertly UPSELL services. 2. Unprofessionalism: Furthermore, the second-opinion-dentist played HECK with the Gentle Dental office in ****** to get the X-rays and records. It took 3-4 attempts, but finally someone from GD emailed them. 3. Bad Billing Practices: Lastly, Gentle Dental harassed us with a no-show billing of $50 dollars for months. Apparently, my older, forgetful, husband had made an appointment at the time of his MISdiagnosis. 4. Rude, unprofessional staff: I finally called the snippy, rude, arrogant "Billing Professional" about this billing and advised her WHY no one in our family would be coming to their office again. She told me it would be put into collection by corporate. I advised her to use some commons sense then filed complaints to two different corporate locations. I do believe Gentle Dental should get complaints filed against them with the Az State Dental examiners. I believe they may be defrauding ******** and other insurance providers, as well as HARMING THE HEALTH of unwitting patients.

I went in for a routine cleaning, which was completed in just 15 minutes. The service felt rushed, with only the bare minimum performed. However, the bill showed charges for a ********************* typically associated with deep cleaning. This procedure is usually divided into four sessions, with each session lasting 11.5 hours. Its unclear how a 15-minute appointment could qualify as a comprehensive deep scaling ************ verify, I visited another dental clinic two days later, where the dentist confirmed that the bottom portions of my teeth were not properly cleanedevident from the buildup still present. This experience leads me to believe Gentle Dental engages in fraudulent business practices.

The staff here lie, overcharge, give incorrect information, coverup for the doctors mistakes, forgot to return calls, dont enter referrals, dont bother to sit down to look at your teeth, recommend treatments that arent needed including fillings. The office manager doesnt seem to care about how this stuff messes with peoples lives.

I have had multiple billing issues with Gentle Dental in ********, **. I called to speak with the office manager, ******. I was told multiple times by ****** that following up on denied claims is the responsibility of the patient, not the provider. I explained that I am unable to follow up on denials when my insurance has no record of the claims ever being received. She continued to tell me it isnt their problem and theyve done nothing wrong. I called back and spoke with *****. I asked if she could provide proof that they actually did receive denials for the claims in question. She told me that she did have proof, so I requested copies and told her I would be at the office in a few minutes to pick them up. She provided copies of call notes documented by administrative staff. When I asked for copies of EOBs, I was told by ***** that they have no EOBs on file and that they typically do not. I told her that call notes are not sufficient proof of claims processing. ****** also told me multiple times during our encounters that I should know how these things work since I manage a medical office. I dont work in the Dental field, but I do know that this is certainly NOT how things work in my office and I have never done anything like this to any of our patients in nearly twenty years.Just read the reviews....STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS DENTAL OFFICE!

Ive been a patient at the gentle dental in *******, ** on ********************* for over a decade. I typically love the dentist and have always had a great experience there until today on 10/24/24. I went in for my six month cleaning and I didnt have my typical doctor, which is Dr. ******* which was fine Until this was the worst experience Ive ever had in my entire life at a dentist office and it was just a cleaning. It was so painful. I believe I saw Dr. *** she is fairly young. Her and the assistant were constantly leaning over me to grab different instruments And they were putting all of their weight on my face/head suffocating me. I was water boarded the whole entire time with water going up my nostrils and under the glasses into my eyes. When I addressed that I was getting soaked, she said that it was a new tool Then continued to drench me. It was so painful. I was bleeding during and even for hours after the appointment. before the cleaning, she took x-rays, which were also painful And told me that she saw four new cavities when six months ago I had zero. But said she would look on the inside of my mouth to see if I actually had any. once she looked She told me she saw none.. And then proceeded to tell me the X-rays can be wrong. So why are we taking x-rays of a patients mouth if they are not 100% accurate and then telling them wrong information. It makes me believe she didnt know what she was talking about and didnt know how to look at an x-ray. So I left my appointment not only in pain but highly confused. I made a complaint to the front office manager. She was rude at first, but then called me 20 minutes after I left my appointment saying that when Dr. ******* comes back from vacation, I can see her to double check on the cavaties to see if I actually have them or not. My whole experience was horrible and now I understand why some people are terrified of the dentist.

After being a patient of Gental Dental in ***** for 18+ years I had to leave the practice since their female Oral Surgeon was unable to remove implant screws that she herself put in. It was discovered that screws we're improperly set by her which created an absolute disaster and also compromised another tooth in the midst of it all. I'm in the process of seeing another dentist to help the fix what Gental Dental Tempe Oral Surgeon could not even though she created the issue.

I have tried to contact the corporate office in California to file a complaint about the office staff at the Gentle Dental location in ********, *******. The office manager as well as one of the members of the office staff have been extremely rude in person and on the phone upon several different occasions since January of 2024 in regard to obtaining and trying to resolve a billing issue/insurance out of network issue. I have never received a call back from the corporate office to discuss this information.

I have been with GD, **************** for many years, Ive been too lazy to leave until today. The reason is this: my temporary crown fell off and I called them Monday while they were open so I could come in and get it Re cemented. They stated they couldnt see me until late Wednesday because they were busy, they kept repeating, its a busy office, you just cant come in and expect to be seen. These are Drs, not covering an exposed root is dangerous to the tooths health, who knows what could happen in 2 days? I am offended, by their lack of concern for a patients dental needs. It was bad enough to have them constantly rescheduling and billing me more than quoted,, but not taking care of emergency dental needs has crossed a line

BEWARE: The customer service from this office as absolutely horrendous. I received service a year and a half ago, but didn't get a bill for what my insurance didn't cover until last week. When received service I asked specifically for what my complete total would be, and was ensured by the staff that the amount I would pay would be the complete amount. That was a lie. And buried in the terms was a statement that it was simply an estimate. Time amount is only about $100, but the deception and misleading from staff is unreal. If you use their services please understand that you may be billed additional whenever they finally get around to sending you a bill.

I was a patient at ****** Dental in *****, and I went to get some work done and the lady that handle the financial part told me that my balance left was ***** and so I got care credit and payed the balance, They made me believe that my insurance covered the rest and I ended up getting the work done. Finding out after all the work was done that I had to pay Gentle ****** over ***** dollars more. just in case if I did not mention before I have been on disability since I was 19 I get a limited amount of money each month and I would have never got the work done if I knew that I would have to pay such a largre amount of money.
