On January 8, 2019, Arizona Attorney General filed a Complaint against Mercedes-Benz USA LLC. Charges filed allege the business is in violation of State law prohibiting false and deceptive acts and practices. The business aggressively and consistently marketed BlueTEC as "the world's cleanest and most advanced diesel" with "ultra-low emissions, high fuel economy and responsive performance" that emits "up to 30% lower greenhouse-gas emissions than gasoline."
The matter is pending.
