I am not a customer of ********************** but have been receiving menacing calls daily. This morning before filing this complaint a gentleman called me asking for someone named ***. I had no idea what he was talking about. I told him not to call me anymore. He menacingly told me "I have your address, that's fine." But again, I am not ***, don't know who that is, I do not have any business with CIG Financial. It should be illegal to call people and threaten period. And to call someone who has nothing to do with what you're calling about is even worse.

This is in reference to my 2011 Audi s5 that was illegal stolen from my residence on Feb 8. Vin #WAUVVAFRXBA062423im sure plenty of people whine when this happens but I have extensive evidence . This began with fraud on my bank account leading me to not be able to pay that months ****. I was proactive and reached out to you guys before you even knew to handle it So since the beginning I've been fourth coming you guys then suggested to me because of the situation to be put on a defered payment program essentially taking one payment and putting it to the rear of my loan. I'm going to provide you all the email communications and the filled out paperwork That caught me back up from the beginning then the next month came and I got texts saying for me to pay my **** which I did not understand bc I just differered. I emailed you many times asking you what this was about & I paid my **** . I received confirmation on every payment I'll provide. I spoke to somebody and You guys said nothing else. So in my mind &reality everything is still up to date. I asked about getting put back on auto pay when I spoke to you about why I was getting all the messages. You sent autopay papers I sent them back filled out and was to begin The very last day of last month so as it stands I should be fully caught up 100%. You guys should have deducted the payment on the 30th why you didn't I have no clue but regardless I would only be late by a couple days but I'm not. I have confirmation numbers for all my payments and I even have text messages form you guys saying thanks for the payment including last month . I've been nothing but proactive and filled out what you asked me to fill out and done everything you Ask me to do And received no communication stating otherwise. I'm not the type of person to have a car repossed. I sorted it all out before you were even aware I'm not hiding and had no clue I was even late 1 payment. How s this fair. I need my car back asap because it's stolen.

Consumer is claiming his vehicle was stolen; however it was repossessed on 2/8/2022.
The last communication we had with consumer prior to repossession was through a phone call on 12/6/21 when customer made a payment to cover November 01, 2021s payment. Afterwards, through the month of December, numerous phone attempts were made by our servicing representatives to discuss payment arrangements for December. Our efforts continued through January when a second payment became due on 01/01/2022.
On 01/04/2022, our records show that a card transaction was attempted by consumer to process a payment. However, that transaction was declined by ACI WorldWide Speedpay. Later a second attempt was made on the same day using check by phone through ACI WorldWide Speedpay. This payment covered December 01, 2021, payment. However, this was returned NSF on January 14, 2022.
We do not take it lightly when it comes to repossessing a customers vehicle. However, after numerous attempts were made, and due to lack of contact, we had to make the decision to repossess the vehicle on 02/04/2022 because account was three (3) payments behind at the time.
We also show as of todays date (02/11/2022), consumer had agreed to reinstate the account and brought the account current. Vehicle is now in consumers possession, and we hope this resolved all of consumers questions and concerns.

Consumer is questioning delay in insurance claim.
We received impound notification on 12/07/2021 (account was 10 days past due due date 11/27/2021) no arrangements on file for past due payment. We called insurance on file which at the time is ****************** since we confirmed with impound lot that unit was in an accident and needed to confirm if any claims are pending. However, insurance on file was not active and we did not receive any calls from any other insurance company or customer making us aware that there was an insurance claim on vehicle. We attempted to reach customer on 12/09/2021 at telephone number xxx-xxx-****, however we were unable to leave a message since voice mail box was full. We then decided to recover unit as storage fees were accruing by the day and wanted to prevent a lien on unit. Unit was assigned for repossession 12/09/2021 and was not recovered until 12/15/2021. During this time we did not receive any communication from customer.  Customer called in on 12/23/2021 to then inform us of insurance information with no prior contact. We have now been in contact with insurance company via email communication and attempting to resolve insurance claim. At this time, we are waiting for vehicle to arrive at auction so the insurance can inspect and/or take possession of unit.

I made a payment on Thurs. Nov 4 or 5th. What I do not understand is why they couldn't e mail me at that time. They never once sent me an e mail to let me know they had my vehicle. Why haven't they been able to politicize the vehicle for the insurance yet. It's been at least ten days or more since they have recurved the updated insurance information as well as my phone number and they still have yet to inform me of all this information still until they responded to my complaint they are also not being very open with my adjuster either. You would think they would want this resolved in the easiest and best manner for everyone. The car was insured so they will get there payoff. So why haven't they been cooperative and given my insurance access to the vehicle? Where could it possibly be ok in route to? Also they would have gotten the insurance information as well when they picked up the vehicle because I barely released it to insurance on the 14th and they picked it up on the 15th. I'm sorry but something just doesn't seem right with that.

Consumer is questioning why she did not receive email notification of her repossession. CIG Financial attempted to contact consumer via telephone as this is the best way to communicate with our consumers. As stated, vehicle was en route to be transported over to the auction. Our records show unit has arrived at the auction on 1/12/22 and consumers insurance company and adjuster has been notified as of this morning. Insurance claim is pending consumers insurance adjuster to inspect and/or take possession of vehicle.Consumer can be assured we are making every effort to resolve this claim as quickly as possible. However, CIG Financial cannot control how quickly other 3rd parties operate.

If I could give a negative 5, I would!! Words cannot express what CIG has put me through!! I do not even own the vehicle anymore!!! I turned the car back in 2013, CIG sold the car for a little of ************** want over $13K, from me, for a 2008 ******* The balance shows $6K on my credit report, but they already started garnishing my *********** the only one in the household working right now! They did this now during a pandemic!!! The nerve of these people!!! I hope this business gets shut down ASAP!!!! Money hungry people, can't even write off a loan from over 8 years ago! That's how desperate this company is. So sad, now I'm suffering for it, when I have a family to support. I have no paperwork from them because it was over 8 years ago!!!! The only paperwork I have is the summons of garnishment of wages. They just took out $373 from my paycheck. I now have a 3 day pay or quit from my landlord!!!! I need help please!!

Consumers complaint is in regard to CIG Financial taking the final step to resolve an outstanding deficiency balance. Consumer also claims that she did not receive any paperwork leading up to this legal matter until garnishment took place.
However, our records indicate that a legal demand was sent to consumer on 1/29/2016. On April 12, 2016 consumer was also served at home with a legal notice of Summons and Complaint. Prior to being served with the summons, we have also reached out to consumer multiple times and consumer did not want to discuss the options we have for consumer to resolve the debt. On May 2, 2016, consumer was willing to briefly discuss options that we can provide to help resolve the outstanding debt. This conversation did not result in consumers approval for any resolution.
On June 6, 2016, the court granted our judgment in the amount of $8,919.44 with interest to continue to accrue. A copy of the conformed judgment is attached for consumers records. Even after having our judgment granted, CIG Financial continued to try to work with consumer to avoid a wage garnishment. On October 23, 2018, consumer spoke with our representative and refused to work out any arrangements we have to offer to resolve consumers outstanding debt.
CIG Financial does not take it lightly when we have to resort to legal actions. However, after multiple attempts, we have exhausted all our efforts. With an active judgment, once the defendant has active employment, we are legally able to garnish wages. If consumer wishes to resolve this debt, consumer may contact our ************************* manager *************************** at ************.
