Very disheartened. Our Church was asked to get involved with Financial Planning Ministry. The Pastor asked if a group of us would Donate to raise the money we needed to get them here. So I was one of them and in the end I actually paid for a couple more spots to meet the quota. Sounded like a good thing to me. You get life time changes to your trust so I figured it would be a good investment. I could have done quite a few for what I donated. Last weekend I sent a message to get some updates done. I got a reply back that my church is no longer affiliated with them and now there would be a charge. I'm usually good at smelling a rat but didn't. Especially when in your packet of giving it also suggests you leave part of your estate to Financial Planning Ministry. I really feel let down, but will move on by myself at this point. The 2nd email I received said I need to read the fine print. WELL. never saw any fine print to read and don't care now. I just don't want anyone else to get shafted like this. I have changed churches during this time also so its just a big mess.. Anyway BEWARE!!

While our purpose and vision are to maintain these relationships, sometimes a partner may choose to end the partnership due to leadership or budget changes.We work hard to preserve these relationships and supports our partners as they make necessary budget allocations for long-term collaboration. Our partners are informed from the beginning that costs proportionately increase as the volume of work grows.We also value the financial support you and others provided to the church when launching this ministry. Had we been aware of your significant contribution as a funding source, we might have re-evaluated the churchs readiness for this long-term commitment.As a non-profit organization, FPM relies on funding from our ministry partners to provide estate planning services to their members. In return, we ask these members to include an estate gift to one or more FPM partners, supporting our mission to fund their kingdom work - a purpose we've upheld since our founding in 1982.If we receive a request for updates to an estate plan with a gift for a dropped partner, we offer two options: include a gift to an active ministry partner or help cover the document preparation cost with an up-front gift to FPM.
