I am filing this complaint due to a billing discrepancy on my Atlas credit card account and a complete lack of response from their customer ********** ********************** limit is $25. On March 24th, I made a $13.93 transaction that was later reversed. That refund should have restored my available credit. However, my current balance shows $24.26 owed, with only $0.75 available to spenddespite the reversal and minimal activity. This is clearly a billing error.I have reached out to Atlas customer service multiple times, provided screenshots, and explained the issue in detail. They have ignored my messages entirely. This lack of transparency and unwillingness to assist is *************** requesting the BBBs assistance in:1. Investigating and correcting the inaccurate balance on my account.2. Better Business Bureau:Complaint ID ******** has been resolved. A bit ridiculous that I had to reach out and file a complaint with the BBB to even get a real, human response. But, with your help it has been taken care of. Thank you very much in your involvement in this (and yes I am going to type out my own message here and not send a copied generic reply that sounds nothing like me).

I signed up with this company under the guise of this being a proper credit card and filled out the application. Unknowingly signing up for a subscription service that would, on purchase, withdraw money from my bank account everyday with a monthly fee.I contacted support within' 1 hour attempting to cancel the service and delete my account, as well as receive a refund for the $8.99 monthly ****** far support has been lacking and is not making a effort to solve my issue and refund me my money.I request the immediate termination of my account, cancel of all pending bank transfers and/or refund any and all fees.Business Response

I read about the Atlas app, got it, guess somehow applied for the credit builder card, was never explained to or given any information about extra fees or monthly charges, I keep my debit cards locked when not using and boy Im glad they tried charging me monthly and then sent me to collections over charges I was never informed Id have to pay. They have no real person you can call and talk to to even attempt to resolve their issues. There are many complaints like mine of deception, but they said you are informed when signing up, I promise if I had been thoroughly and fully informed, I wouldve never signed up with them. I keep disputing it in collections but get denied even though I was never informed of having to pay monthly fees or extra fees to not even receive a card or get to use it or the services.Business Response

Today I saw an ad and downloaded the app for the atlas credit card to see what it was about to build my credit . As soon as I got through all they wanted and signed In . I realized it was not what I thought it was I paid the 8.99 because it said I had to do that before I closed it . Then requested them to close it and all I got was someone will review your request . It is my choice to be a part of this or not it should be my choice to cancel it . No questions asked . I want it closed. And my information to be deleted .Business Response

On 3-19-2025 atlas chose to close my account when I said my card would not work. They then sent me an email stating I owed them $1,336.83 and it would go against my credit. The $1,336.83 is money I DEPOSITED to the credit card. After going back and forth with them all day and night, they realized they in fact did owe me that money. They stated they would send my money to my linked navy account. They have no time frame on when theyre doing this, meanwhile I have bills due NOW. I had recurring deposits set up so I had ANOTHER deposit post to that card this morning so now they owe me even more. I can not stop the deposits. Im not understanding how they can accept my money instantly, still continuing to accept my money while my account is closed but can not simply send my money to my linked account instantly. I have bills I have to pay tomorrow if I do not I will lose my vehicle. I need a for sure plan set up or them to mail me a check asap this is absurd.Business Response

I opened an Atlas account in January of 2025. I didn't realize at the time that I was a secured credit card and there was a fee of $8.99 a month. I was supposed to receive the card in the mail and I never did. Last month, I moved so I updated my address and requested a new card. I never received that card either. I checked my account today and I have a balance of $26.97 and I never even used the account. I tried to cancel my account but it says that I cannot close the account until the balance is brought to 0 and that it might effect my credit score. I want my balance brought to 0 and I want my account closed permanently. I'm not paying them money when I didn't even realize that there was a monthly fee until after I had opened the account and I've also never even been able to use the account because I never received the card. I want my account permanently closed immediately.Business Response

I have continuously tried to cancel Atlas. They are yet another company that deceives you and makes it IMPOSSIBLE to cancel as they keep withdrawing monthly fees. In order to cancel you have to find the support chat, whatever thats fine, then you go through this long process in the chat stating you want to cancel and then it says someone will contact you within 48 answers, but KNOW your account is NOT cancelled until you respond to this random message youll get sometime in the next few days. I am sick of this kind of practice. It wont let me remove my bank account information from the account so that they can continuously charge me each month even though the reason I got it was because I am struggling with money.If I want to cancel my account or remove my bank information from an app, I should be able to do it instantly. There is no way to remove my bank information and I have to cancel to get rid of it and theyre making me wait several days to hear backmaybe over email or maybe over the app. I just have to keep on checking and if I miss it, its my fault. When you first download the app, you think its gonna be this awesome thing that helps you build your credit and immediately ask you for $10. I tried to cancel it then in there and realized how difficult it was going to be and realized what I got myself into.Business Response

I opened an Atlas account and deposited money into it. When I made a purchase it went through but then all of a sudden my account closed and I had $55 in there and it got took. Proceed to try and reach customer support but they sent me the same message three times and calling didnt help couldnt speak to no one.Business Response
