On June 2, 2022, BBB requested Dubby to modify, substantiate or discontinue claims made on their website (https://www.dubby.gg/) that read, "America's Tastiest Gaming Energy Drink of 2022", On the "FAQs" page, it reads: "DUBBY is produced in the United States of America..";"DUBBY is produced in the USA.."; "Unlike other energy drinks in our category, we pride ourselves on actually developing a clean energy formula that is free from fillers, maltodextrin, and artificial colorings.", Additionally, under the "Shop Now" link at the top of the homepage, it reads: "DUBBY allows you to have faster reaction time paired with laser sharp focus. If you want to start winning more - we made this for you. Our Premium Gaming Energy Drink". Advertisers must be prepared to substantiate such claims per BBB's Code of Advertising.
BBB's Code of Advertising Section 1 states, the primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. Upon request, they should present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB. Additionally, BBB Code of Advertising 28 states, superlative statements in advertisements about the tangible qualities and performance values of a product or service are objective claims for which the advertiser must possess substantiation as they can be based upon accepted standards or tests. As statements of fact, such claims, like “#1 in new car sales in the city,” can be proved or disproved. Additionally, BBB Code of Advertising Section 34 states, Claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy or results for a product or service should be based on recent and competent testing or other objective data. Additionally, BBB Code of Advertising Section 37 states, “Made in USA” and similar terms used to describe the origin of a product must be truthful and substantiated. Advertisers can refer to products that are manufactured with foreign components as “Assembled in USA,” if the product's principal assembly and last substantial transformation was completed in the U.S.

I ordered online from the company Dubby, an energy drink company. I made my order in February, when it hadnt been delivered, I looked at see if I had gotten any info about a late delivery only to see that I had given the wrong address. When contacted, Dubby not only said that my order was never delivered, it was also never returned to the shipping facility. So I then asked for a refund, seeing as my order was lost in the world. I was told I would have to rebuy the item or repay for shipping. When I declined either option and demanded a full refund for something I couldnt control (the package being lost) and Ive been fighting with them ever since for my $20. Its not a lot of money, but its the principle of stealing my money I dont like.

Their customer service is horrendous at best and shady at worst. I had an issue with a broken shaker cup I ordered from them and they refused to send a new one and also stated that they don't make replacement parts so I couldn't even just get a lid, I had to buy a whole new shaker cup. What terrible customer service to not even attempt to right a wrong and instead just tell me to buy more product. Well I moved on and for a while continued to purchase their energy drink products because I enjoyed those. Fast forward to recently where I made an order by mistake and realized I needed to cancel and get a refund. I emailed them right away asking them to cancel and got no response until over the weekend on a holiday I got an email saying they couldn't cancel the order because it had already shipped. Well maybe because you ignored my email until it had shipped. Then the very next day (also a holiday) after they said it had already shipped I got another email stating that the Label Was Created. Not that it was shipped but they had printed the label in their system. I emailed again with a screenshot and telling them that their story wasn't adding up and I needed a refund. They just responded back with another email with a canned response totally ignoring what I said telling me that their system can be delayed and that it does that when the package departs to the customer's state...I live in the same state, in fact I live about 30min from their fulfillment center so I know this is all BS and they just didn't want to lose an order.The email continues to say I can return the product but there is a 15% restock fee and, oops actually you can't, because you can't return product if you used a coupon code. So basically I'm stuck purchasing a product I should not be receiving and I just have to **** it up because Dubby doesn't care about their customers or their Partners. I just want my money back. I'll come by and stock the product myself if I have to
