This business is a complete scam others beware - I paid out of good faith and completed all the required training not to mention payments. Every time I would call in I would get the same response that the account had to go under a review to see what is happening. In meantime days or weeks keep going by. Not once did I even get a lead or a phone call, they sure are ready to take the money and are still asking for a renewal . People be aware and don't get scammed like I and others have been scammed.Initial Complaint

Similar to all the complaints I read regarding resnet, I also was scammed by them. I want to express my extreme anger, my heart felt feeling that this is a scam. I was sent an invitation to become a preferred agent. I was told I would get exclusive opportunities, few agents in my area and that a large resource of bank foreclosure listings were available. 5 years and nothing. The biggest complaint is in reference to the 2 year moratorium the government placed on foreclosures. This did not stop Resnet, they took $595.00 and $700.00 from my checking account for the subscription for the 2 years that they did not have the ability to perform on;the contract: No foreclosures per government moratorium. When contacted I too was pretty much told tough s***!! They would not refund the $1295 they illegally took from my account. But that has not stopped ****** from calling me weekly to talk me into renewing my subscription.fat chance!!! I want a refund for those 2 years ($1295) that they took from me illegally during the moratorium (which by the way I did not authorize)Initial Complaint

I paid Res.Net an amount of $595 towards the Premium Plus Membership which they said would get me *********** Listings for selling the *** Properties.Unfortunately, Res.Net has breached the Contract by not performing their obligation and not giving me even One Listing in the past One Year. Instead they asked for more Money saying that my Profile would be highlighted and other such pretexts.Even though I wrote a couple of times to the Company, including the Manager, they never responded nor gave me any reasons for Not giving any Listings for the *********** *** Properties.Only on 09/11/2024, *******************, the authorized Agent Relations personal from Res.Net wrote to me that my Profile is Not complete in Portal and I am not a Res.Net Certified *********** Agent and that my *********** License and E&O License has expired. She pointed out to me that, this is the reason for which I am not getting any Listings. The reasons stated by ******* are absurd and totally false and I have completed all the necessary formalities as and when required by Res.Net and I have all the proof in the form of Printout of communications and screenshots from the Res.Net Agent Portal.I would like to mention that the Res.Net company is cheating upon the *********** Agents by taking Money from them in the name of giving them Listings but they are not giving anything in return but asking for more and more money during the interim period. This is a clear case of Bait and Switch tactics wherein they are luring the unsuspecting *********** Agents and then trying to make them pay more and more for various other services.I request BBB to kindly intervene in this matter and assist me in getting the full refund of $595 I had paid to Res.Net, without ever getting the services nor product in lieu of the Payment. Further, it's a Breach of Contract by Res.Net when one Party has fulfilled it's obligation. I had requested ***** **** for the Refund but she has not responded yet.Initial Complaint

I purchased a subscription to their services and withing a couple of days I cancelled because I found out they were a fraudulent company, I have contacted them numerous times within the last almost 3 months and have had no response. The person in charge doesn't answer his phone or emails. It appears there are only 3 people working for this company. Every time I call, they just send me to him again. I have not received any leads or anything else from them. They also didn't disclose there was a fee to get "certified".Initial Complaint

Similar to all the complaints I read regarding resnet, I was scammed by them as well. Paid $700 to receive REO leads, approximately 3.5 months ago. Upon payment I was told Id be receiving leads and listing opportunities with 4-6 weeks. Im yet to receive one opportunity, not even a phone call. ********************* was my contact at resnet, and was helpful at the beginning, after a few email complaints he has stopped returning my calls and emails. I explained that I have no choice but to report this as a scam, his response was very arrogant . Im stuck and feel like I have no recourse to get a refund.Business Response

Res.Net is a company that is suppose to get companies like banks, foreclosure companies etc. to provide listings to you as a real estate agent. I have not received not 1 company to call me, this is a waste of my money and I want my credit card to refunded, I do not want to do any business with Res.Net. I paid them $699.00 and would like my money back! this is all a line of BS to get you to pay up front $699 and never get you any business.Business Response

Res.Net entices you with the fact that you will definetly be receiving listings from the "banks/providers" of the actual listings, which in fact they can not - and the banks/providers do not necessarily need to provide a listing to an agent only through RES.NET - res.net tells you they need 4 to 6 weeks to review your information to just extend the time. They are not providiing me any service and do not guarantee anything either - their is absolutely no guarantee from Res.Net - and yet they are charging $699.00 up front for something that is not provided.Initial Complaint

I want to express my profound disappointment, coupled with a clear understanding that this is unequivocally a scam, and I demand my money back. Like others who have shared their experiences here, I too have fallen victim to RESNET's deceptive practices. I entered into an agreement with RESNET as a buyer. Upon the closure of the transaction, a representative contacted me, commending my performance and extending an invitation to become a preferred agent. I was enticed by the prospect of exclusive opportunities, assured that there were few agents in my area and that a plethora of bank listings awaited. Intrigued, I promptly signed up and paid my $700.00. However, weeks passed with no sign of the promised benefits. When I reached out for a refund, I was dissuaded, told to wait as it takes time to navigate the system. Despite my reservations about the limited cancellation window, I was reassured that results were imminent.Months later, I received a few Broker Price Opinions (BPOs) without prior notification of their distribution to multiple agents, nor the necessity of being the first to respond. After completing my first BPO, I was never compensated. Subsequent months yielded no further listings or BPOs, while I observed other agents receiving RESNET properties. Upon expressing my desire for a refund, I encountered evasion and excuses. Now, at the end of my contract, I am left empty-handed, having not received a single listing. This is an egregious scam, and I insist on a refund!Business Response

Once more, I was assured that I would receive leads for listings, yet throughout my cancellation process, I've made several attempts to reach out, only to be persuaded against it. Despite my efforts to cancel within the terms of my contract, I encountered obstacles and evasive responses. I am requesting a complete refund of my payment to be credited back to the original form of payment.Initial Complaint

Like others who have posted here, I too have experienced being scammed by RESNET. I had previously used their services around 2008 and received a few leads from them after relos and shortsale stopped I cancelled my account. **** assured me that they were gaining more traction, and I would receive leads once my profile was completed. After completing my profile and waiting for two months with no leads, I contacted him. He advised me to make my profile more robust, which I promptly did. However, this week RESET charged me another $700. He mentioned initiating a refund request, but upon reviewing BBB complaints, it appears that they do not issue refunds unless a complaint is filed. Therefore, I am filing this proactive complaint as they promised me a refund. They should refund me for the past two years, and they should cease their unethical practices of scamming realtorsBusiness Response

On or about 2/26/23 res.net was $700 for a year of leads and listings. I have not received a single one. No contact from the company after me inquiring about where and when I could expect these leads. I let them know that I am no longer wanting to be associated with them as they appear to be scammers. On 2/26/24 they withdrew another $700 from my account with my permission. I requested an immediate refund as I will not pay another $700 for no service what so ever. I was told they would submit a ticket and I would hear from them in 15 days. To this date, I have no refund and no word from them. I never signed up for another year or gave them authority to charge me for another year. I accepted that I had paid for the first year and no results but there is no way I would give them permission to take my money again.Business Response

In January 2023, I submitted $700 for the membership fee to RES.NET because after several conversations with their agent, he said that there were only "2 agents" servicing my area, and there were many REO properties available in that area. I was told that the banks would reach out after reviewing my application. The refund period was 14 days. Within that time, I attended the onboarding training that was recommended and the trainer presenting was HONEST and said that "some applicants may NEVER receive a property to list." So, I called to speak with the agent who enrolled me and explained my concern. It had already been about a week and no calls to list any REO properties. He staved off my concern by saying "be patient, sometimes it takes the banks 2-4 weeks to process the application." I called back about the two week **** and the agent again, said that sometimes it takes 5-6 weeks to process, and that I should get calls from the banks since there were only "2 other agents" assigned to my area. Throughout the months, I have been contacting the agent and the customer service department via email and phone, but have been offered no resolution. Most of the time I just receive an automated email stating they will get back with me. The last time I actually spoke with the agent who enrolled me, he said that I could try to get a refund, but the deadline to request a refund had passed. I submitted emails I had with the enroller as proof that I had expressed my concerns and that I wanted my money back prior to the deadline, but I was told by customer service that I "did not request a refund." The enroller also DID NOT explain how to submit a request for refund. This company is totally a SCAM. Please do not pay your $700 because you WILL NOT get it back and you will not receive REO listings as promised by the RES.NET staff. VERY SAD that companies like this prey on people who are trying hard and honestly to make it in this business. BBB, please help me to get my $700 refund.Business Response

That is understood that the Asset Managers are the ones who assign the *** assignments. However, it is the deceitful method that the intake department uses to obtain the $700 for the Pro Plus membership. There was no mention that there was a possibility that I would receive NO assignments within the entire year of membership. Instead, I was told that I was only one of a couple of members located in my area. Greater ******* Area is a LARGE area, with MANY ***'s, so I felt like the rep ******* me in making me think that I would receive assignments. Even when I questioned why I hadn't received any calls AFTER I completed the training that they recommended to look more appealing to the asset managers, I was told by the rep that I needed to be patient--that it takes time to process the applications. Well, by then, it was AFTER the deadline to get a refund because I was "patient." It was an entire YEAR and I received no calls for an assignment and I completed all that the representative suggested that I do.
