    I ordered an appliance through this business on September 30th, 2024. I was told the delivery date would be between 6 and 8 weeks. On November 21st, 2024, approximately 7 weeks after I made the purchase, I contacted the appliance store for an update. I found out Friedmans Home Experience had closed its doors. I never received the appliance ordered and paid. The total amount of the purchase is $3396.14.

    I purchased a new cooktop on August 21, 2024 for $1,367.66. The cooktop was on order and was never going to come in. On September 27, 2024 **** called and informed me that the cooktop was not going to come in and my money would be fully refunded. I do not do online banking so I waited for my statement to come in the mail and noticed there was no refund in my account. I began calling the phone number that is provided on the invoice and where **** had called me from around October 15, 2024. Surprisingly the phone number was no longer in service. I then reached out to the appliance guy that had recommended them and is listed as the installer on the receipt and he said they locked the doors and the employees didn't know what happened either. I have reached out to the ****************************** and they stated they did not know what happened but have been receiving a lot of calls from people. In doing research I found that they had another company in ******* named Ultra located at ************************************************************************************* with a phone number of ************. This business is now closed as well. I would like to know how to get my money back or if I need to take further action in locating the owners of the company to get my money back. I do know the owners names are *************** ************. Please help me get my money back.

    I ordered and paid for a dishwasher. It did not come in by date promised so I called the business and was told if I wanted to buy it elsewhere they would refund my money. I notified them that I had purchased it elsewhere and they said they would process my refund but never did and no they are out of business and cant be contacted. They owe me approximately $1,000

    Friedmans failed to refund me my money after American Range took possession of my oven in an authorized return under warranty.I purchased my American Range *** oven on 5/26/2022 from Friedmans Home Expressions for a total of $5,407.37. I finally received the oven which had been back ordered and then had it installed with my kitchen remodel which was completed on 11/21/2023 per the final signature by the city inspector on the City of ************************ ********* wife and I tested the oven a total of 14 times between December and August 2024 and each time dozens of pieces of loose enamel were on the bottom of the oven after it cooled down. Two service visits (4/9/2024 and 8/6/2024) confirmed the loose enamel on the oven floor after using the oven. American Range finally agreed to return the oven for a full refund on 8/7/2024. The oven was removed by American Range on 8/14/2024. Almo was refunded by ************** and then refunded Friedmans on August 18th, 2024. The manager of Friedmans, *** ********, and the assistant manager, ****** ******, kept giving me the run around. First telling me I had to wait for my refund until they got paid from the distributor, ****. He first told me they hadnt received the money from ****. Then he told me Almo transferred the money into a dormant account, and they had to wait until it was put into the correct account. He finally just said I would have to wait another three weeks without explanation after I had already spent 8 weeks trying to get paid my refund. In an email from 10/15/24, I received a reply that Max was no longer employed by Friedmans as of 10/11/24 and that all inquiries were to be directed to ***** Contantinou (store owner) at ********************************* I have sent three emails and all have been unanswered. The store front is closed as of 10/12/24 and the phone has been disconnected. The company website has also been removed.

    On 04/8/2024, I went to Friedmans Home Experience store located at ************************************************************* and purchased a jacuzzi tub and several parts needed for installation, like trims, faucet valve and others. I fully paid the purchase and was advised by my salesman, ****** ***, that I have one year from date of purchase to have it delivered. During this time, my husband was diagnosed with Cancer and I got pre-occupied taking care of him.On or around the first week of October, I received a call from my salesman to tell me that the store will permanently close in five days and that I had to pick up the jacuzzi in their warehouse. My invoice clearly states that I paid for delivery to my house but was advised that they could not make the delivery anymore. A week after, I went to the store but it was already closed. I have been sending them emails but i haven't gotten any response from them. I tried calling them but the phone number has been disconnected. Even their website is no longer working. I worked hard for the $4,909.43 that I paid them. This is not the way to do business and is totally unacceptable. Please help me and my ailing husband. Thank you.

    Purchased a refrigerator from Friedmans on Spring street.Paid for it and before being able to accept delivery they closed there doors with no notice. Kept our money

    Friedmans failed to deliver acceptable pre-paid Hauslane 36" island canopy range hood. When I tried to re-order another hood, I got no reply from the Friedmans representative (sent 2 emails). I physically went to the store to find it has gone out of business/filed for bankruptcy. I am seeking a refund for the undelivered appliance.

    I paid $19,587.19 to Friedman's Home Experience in ********************* on August 21, 2024 for a thermador refrigerator, hood, 36" range, dishwasher, and a farmhouse sink. The store is an upscale appliance store, and has been in ********** for over 30 years. My contractor ****** ***** of ********************* had me go with ***** ***** (his designer wife) to purchase appliances there. This was the first step in order to determine the exact specs for the final design. I hired them to do a kitchen remodel that I had saved for 10 years to do. My daughter just graduated from college in 2022, so I have really worked hard especially the past 2 years to get this going. At the store, ***** ***** took me to their sales associate **** ********. They have worked with **** for several years. **** had worked for ********** since March of 2017. I believe ******** has done business with ********** for about 30 years. I wanted to make a Christmas deadline for my project, so I felt pressured to make decisions that day. I was prepared and felt good about my choices. When I went to charge it to my credit card, it was denied since I have never made a purchase that large before. I ended up paying by check because I didn't want my payment to delay the process. My check was cashed immediately after my purchase. **** told me that the order would be ready in 2-3 months, but if we needed it sooner, she could work her magic to get it sooner. She also told us she would email a receipt to us. She never did. ***** followed up with ****, but **** would not reply back. We do have in the specs and model numbers along with my cancelled check. I did ask my bank for a chargeback but they refused. I was told by ***** ***** that the store closed on Saturday October 12 at 2pm. ***** has checked with Thermador, the manufacturer and they have said they cannot assist to tell us if the order was ever placed. I suspect that it was not.

    Friedman's Home Experience located on ********** in ********** has taken purchase price monies from customers and then not delivered the purchased items. I personally made a purchase of $30,800 for a full kitchen suite of appliances, and they have not been delivered. The retail location is locked and has a notice that business has closed permanently. I am aware that there are at least 20 customers who have paid for prepaid, ordered products that have been affected. I suspect there are dozens if not hundreds more such affected customers.This business has turned into a scam, a criminal enterprise. The authorities need to investigate and prosecute the owner of this business. Per my search, the owner of this business is a corporation with a sole shareholder. That owner can be found from a search of the LA County DBA registry and then the California Secretary of State site of corporate registration.

If I do not receive this communication or my order soon, I will have no choice but to initiate a chargeback through my bank and consider further legal action.The business has made no effort to contact me or resolve this issue, and their complete lack of communication has been extremely frustrating.
