starting July 1, 2022 I was paying Academy Home Services my monthly mortgage payment so that they arranged a loan modification for my home with AmeriHome Mortgage. I paid to them directly in these amounts: July 7, 2022, $1488.71 (money order as requested) August 7, 2022, $1,320.03 (money order as requested) September 7, 2022, $1,277.13 (sent a check instead of money order) each time FedEx Express return label (sent to me from Academy) to the address: Academy Home Service, ***************************************** XXXXX last tracking#: XXXXXXXXXXXX I tried to contact them the end of September 2022. On the internet I found out that the Federal Govn't had closed them down for FRAUD. I would like to get my money returned that I, in good faith paid them for the loan modification they said they could accomplish, making my payments from $1610.11 lowered to $1175.75 starting Dec 2022. I have not recovered any money. I would like my money back in the amount of: $4,085.87. i would also like to to part of the class action party and receive damages that the courts determine.

I signed documents with Account Manager ****** on April 12, 2022. Also was in communication with ************************* ***************** Also communicated via email and texts with ***********, email: *********************************. My Account No. with Academy is*********** Per ****** I was told since I sent my payment Rushmore Mortgage in April I did not have to make payment till May 2022 for $1,191.73; For June $1,88 and July $1,081. Aug. $920.01, Sept. $920.01 which was the new mortgage amount. On Oct 4 I sent my payment in for $920.01; however, it was returned to me with no explanation. I have tried to make multiple calls at all of the numbers listed, but the numbers have all been disconnected; one went to voicemail, but mailbox was full. I am very concerned because I have been reading about others who are in the same situation as I am and I do not want my home to be foreclosed on. Never thought that this would have been a SCAM.

Academy home service contacted me portraying to be part of a government backed program that guaranteed to help modify my current monthly mortgage payments. My loan has had a pretty high interest rate for the entire life of loan so they preyed on that as their reasoning for me qualifying for their program. AHS states that they basically retrieve my original loan documents, skip the middle man (my serviced) and go directly to investor. Being that I have had a super high interest rate they basically make it sound like they go after investors that carry high rates and force them down to better rates. At first everything was checking out for the first few months but then when trying to reach someone it suddenly became impossible. All numbers from prior agents were no longer in service and same with email addresses. I have paid them 2 payments on my primary home mtg and also entered one of my rental property mtgs into their "so called program"!!! I even signed a cease and desist letter for them to be able to do business with my current servicer. Their angle was they bi pass my servicer and go straight to the investor that holds my mtg. (Make sense right) and so with that I pay AHS my payments in the meantime. Crazy part is I paid through check and also through ***** right through my bank directly. It's not like I was being completely stupid I did my research but they just had this so masterly planned out. Today I called my servicer And they are completely certain this is a scam. Today I also found out they (AHS) are shut down and all assets are currently frozen. Im out over $2,000 and just want my money back so that I can get my mtgs back in good standings after paying AHS MY payments and them not paying my mtg. I have many phone numbers and names saved from along the way of talking to many diff ppl. Also cancelled checks payable to them and ***** payments from my bank account as proof to what was paid to them

After several failed attempts to refinance my home, I was contacted by this company who claimed they got my number after not being able to refinance. They said they provide assistance such as loan modification to help me lower my interest rate and forgiving any late payments which was possible due to a government program. I was provided a contract via email thru Docusign. I made a total of 4 payments for a total of over $5500 starting June 5, 2022. These payments started high and got lower every month. They said this would cover fees amd house assessment and all the related expenses. Eventually the last payment would be my new monthly payment which I made last month. Since then, I haven't heard from them. I was getting calls from different "employees" and I called every number back and they all have been disconnected. I was provided prepaid return labels for my payments to them and I replied to each email, including the inital contract phase emails, and I got message back saying they could not be delivered. I even tried calling their main contact number and I've heard 2 auto messages such as "technical difficulties" or "mailbox is full". When I received foreclosure letters in the mail, I called my mortgage company to discuss and they didn't raise any flags. I spoke to a previous lender who helped me buy my home about this ordeal and they confirmed to me that a loan modification would never require payments not to be continued to be paid to the current lender and that most likely I won't get my money back. I would like to try to file a civil lawsuit if the individuals are identified. Please let me know if there is anything helpful I can do. I am already working with my mortgage company to make payment arrangements, but I would really like to try to retrieve any losses possible.

Since last November 2021 I have been paying $1179 monthly to Academy Home Services for a Mortgage Loan Modification with ********************, my home lender. I was told that my interest rate would be reduced to less than 2% and my monthly payment would be reduced from $1600 to around $1200 or less. Academy also said that my total mortgage would be reduced by 10 to 30% through a government program. I survived*************************** injury in 2019 and receive monthly*********** because I can no longer safely perform in my career. Now I cannot reach any of the employee representatives for Academy, and they have not collected my monthly payment of $1179 for October. My house and property are all I have left and I cannot lose them. Please help me.

In February 2022 I was contacted by academy home services with information regarding a loan modification. Submitted some info to them. 2 days later received a call starting I was pre approved. I was sent documents via DocuSign. I was asked to sign a cease and decease & was given a payment schedule and told not to make payments to my mortgage company but to make them to academy home services. I've sent them over $9500 and still no modification. My home is in foreclosure. All the phone numbers have been disconnected and ask the email addresses are undeliverable.
