Home Matters USA promised to do a loan modification on my home and they didnt do anything but took my money. Ive given them all documents that they requested for. Ive given payments as they requested as well. Every time I called them for an update on my modification. I was given the run around and excuses ever times, I just wanted my money back. Does anyone know where do I go from here to collect what Home Matters USA owes me?Initial Complaint

On 04-08-20 I signed a Restructure Proposal with Home Matters USA. I was told it would only take 90 days for the process. I wanted to modify my loan so that I could get a lower interest rate. I was also told that this process would not affect my credit score. I was told that if I was not satisfied there was a money back guarantee. I was told to make my payment to Home Matter USA that they were going to get the delinquent balance forgiven with a new government program, That I qualified for and it would lower my interest rate and put my loan in a fixed. I was told that it would take off 20 to 30 percent off the principle balance with this new Government Loan. This has been ongoing for almost 3 years I have given them all the documents needed to process the loan refinance or modification. Check stubs, Taxes for 2 years, Rental Agreements for Rentals, Loan statements, insurance statements, Hardship letter, Income and expense statement. They kept asking me for the same documents over and over told me that they were in the final stages that I would be starting my trial period with in the next week or so. They kept on prolonging this by asking me for more documents they told me this for months Home Matters USA has not done any of the things that they promised and that I paid them for. I stopped paying them around 6 months ago, because I asked for documents showing that they were in contact with ******************* and they said that it was all done verbal that they did not have any documents that they could show me. Now no one answers the phone all the number go to voice mail or they are no longer working. I have left messages and emails with no response. I was contacted by my loan servicer ********** to send them all the same paperwork that Home Matters asked for all this years, ****************************** Home Matters are gone, their Phone number is disconnected and their business email is no longer in service. I just want my 30,000.00 dollars that I paid to them.Initial Complaint

On 6/4/21 Me and my wife hired home matters USA to do a loan modification on our home because I got laid off work and cannot make our payments due ****************** home matters USA promised us a lower interest rate and get our payments down from $2600 a month to $1900 a month they told us they would take care of us and told us to pay them $1700 a month and they will deal with our lender this went on for almost a year and a half with no payments being sent to our home address we thought everything was going fine then we got a letter that our house was in the default so I called Home matters and they said don't worry about it they got it handled I told them we have a letter from the ****** county recorder that our house is in the default what do you mean don't worry about it they said they're taking care of it so I called my lender and they said they never ever talk to Home matters USA apparently all the letters coming from my lender we're going to their office hall matters USA in the money we were paying1754.00 Per month was going directly to Home matters and nothing to my lender so now my lender tells me that we owe them $25,000 just want our money back and them to be put out of business panicked *********** them And found out I am not the first one this is happened to if you could tell me what to do I would appreciate it thank youInitial Complaint

Home Matters called my mother to help with a Loan Modification for her mortgage. Home Matters took over the Home Mortgage account as POC. My mother was sending them her monthly mortgage instead of paying her mortgage direct. Home Matters requested only Money Orders or Cashiers Check. After a year my mother is served by the County of Maricopa with Foreclosure Paperwork due to non-payment of mortgage. My mother was in default for the past 15 months. Since Home Matters was the POC she was not receiving any late or default notices. My mother is elderly and I believe that Home Matters took advantage of her and kept her money for no service at all.Initial Complaint

Home Matters USA was supposed to help me restructure my loan for me. I was to pay the for 4 months a certain amount of money for them to do this. They sent me paperwork to fill out in which one paper was to keep my mortgage company from contacting me during this process, in which my home went into foreclosure. I tried to call Home Matters USA and they told me that they had dropped my case, so I ask them what I needed to do and they wouldn't talk to me anymore. I'm result of this I get a card on my door saying my house and property was bought. I then attempted to contact my mortgage company 21st mortgage and they would not talk to me due to the paperwork that Home Matters USA had me fill out so I lost my house and my property that I put up for collateral.I unfortunately don't have the money for a lawyer to fight this but would like advice on what I can do PLEASE HELP?Initial Complaint

This company made claims to get my mortgage modified took payments telling me they were going to be applied to my mortgage company. Payments were never applied, And I almost lost my home I still could this company needs to be shut down and needs to be stopped and and the people running it should be in jail for causing cancer Americans to lose their home so they could steal money from them
