Ettitude is a shady scam of a company. They greenwash themselves. Their products are of terrible quality in my opinion. Apparently a lot of people like them. But a lot of people don't, as you can find anywhere except Ettitude's website. And they hide the reviews on their website, decline to post negative reviews. I've been anxiously waiting for Ettitude to get a BBB profile so I can file this complaint on a forum that Ettitude doesn't control. Ettitude, you are a disgrace to sustainability. If your products are good, don't hide the bad reviews because they should be few, right? Right? How many other people's reviews did you refuse to post besides mine? I combed through thousands of reviews multiple times over the course of 2 months, page by page looking for mine, and didn't find it. They published other people's reviews before and after mine, many which I know were posted after me because they referenced dates and holidays that occurred since when I posted. Upon prodding them as to why it hadn't been published yet, they claimed they were "reviewing it." Upon further investigation, I learned from other sources that Ettitude does not post all reviews yet claims from their own skewed data that they have a 5-star rating. Not only are their sheets trash that shred in two washes, are miserably uncomfortable, and wrinkle like crumpled paper, they resort to hiding these honest reviews. A BBB grade of C- for Ettitude? I bought some items on sale - unfortunately the items did not fit me and when I tried to contact them and exchange, I was told sorry final sale now Im stuck with expensive items that I will wear and a company that gets ride away in the sunset with my money. I will never shop at this company ever again.BEWARE they are a scam.Initial Complaint

I purchased a comforter, duvet, and sheets set from Ettitude with the promise of a certain level of quality with their product. I have used bamboo products before and was hunting specifically for a 100% bamboo high quality comforter and duvet. The products I ordered arrived but with quite a bit of difficulty from the company with a missing order. Once the item finally arrived, and I started to use them...they clearly are not holding up to the claims and promises made by the company. The duvet cover will not stay in place and the ties inside of the duvet are falling apart. I have followed all of the care and cleaning tips to the letter and yet the material itself of the duvet is falling apart. There is clearly low quality craftsmanship in how to item is made with fraying threads and a snap that just fell out of the duvet. The item has not been overused or abused, and was often not used as it was on a guest bed. The comforter has never been washed (dry clean only) and yet is also falling apart and changing. The filling is coming out of the comforter and every time I take the duvet off, tons of tiny bamboo poofs fly about my room which is most certainly a breathing/choking hazard. I reached out to the company to just tell them there was an issue and they suggested sending a replacement. After considering it, I said sure I will try a replacement...with their customer service swearing my issues are not typical for their company and they wanted to "make it right". They requested photos, which I sent...and their response was sorry we cant verify how you used the product so we wont send you the replacement we just promised you. It really makes me feel that they are scamming their customers, their product is not what they claim it is. Their products are a scam and I have serious concerns that it is not actually 100% bamboo.Business response

Upon reviewing her claim photos, the loose threads and unraveling ties are due to the normal wear and tear of the product. Much like any product, after being used and washed over and over again, the fabric begins to wear down. We do our best to ensure quality by reviewing claims which is why we request photos and batch numbers. We have had instances in the past where claims have been made against a batch that was in fact defective. Those instances we gladly issue a replacement/refund for the customer. In ******'s case, the batch number provided has had no previous claims. In regards to the content of our fabric, we are 100% transparent with the materials we use. Information can be found here- ******************************************* As advertised on our website, we do have a 30 day sleep trial available to new customers. If the quality was not up to ******'s standard within the first 30 days of use, we would have been able to accept the return and issue a full refund. However, after a full year's use of the product, ****** threatened to file a complaint on BBB if we did not issue a refund. Unfortunately, due to company policies, we were unable to complete the request.Initial Complaint

I am trying to return items for a refund. They have dragged it out for a week already and now demand I fill out a survey before they will allow me to return the items. I legally do not have to fill out a survey to return items and receive a refund.Business response

******* sells ****** ware and sheets, their ******* only shows 5 star reviews. There products are absolute ******** Marketed as bamboo ****** ******* however they are in fact the ******** form of cotton from ****** Each set ranges from ********* I got my sheets and washed them and they lost (and I'm not ****** (5 pounds at least) I contacted customer service their ********* account asking for a refund with no reply. The advertise on ****** a payment agency and they probably don't know about this issue either. There are ********* of reviews online (not there website) about what a scam this six ****** ******** for dollar store like sheets. Then ******** their ********* to keep the ****** I will get a lawyer if I have to Im sure lawyers love class actions. I want my money back and I want them **** down so this doesn't continuously happen to people. ******* is illegal and they more than commit it *********Business response

The following day, 12/9 our team had sent a response *********** for the issue and offering either a replacement order or a discount for her to keep the product in their current state. This is a more eco-friendly approach that is offered to customers. Since 12/9, we have not received a response from the customer. As far as packing goes, we utilize every extra inch of our **** ************* fabric to create the ******** ********** bags that carry our sheets. As stated in our **** impact report, All ettitude products are made with **** ****** as the base raw material. All ettitude ****** ** sourced from Forest *********** Council ***** certified sources, meaning it comes from *********** managed forests that provide ************** social and economic benefits. Were you to order comparable silk satin sheets you may experience a similar dulling, even when washing your bedding with extreme care. Usually, even though the sheen dulls a bit, the sheets maintain a very silky feel. In other words, the texture of our fabric is supposed to and will change slightly after the first wash. It will lose some of the ************ ********* qualities and become softer with each wash.
