      I ordered a sweater from their website during a flash sale. The next morning I checked my shipping confirmation and found that it said the order was cancelled with no further explanation. At that time the website was still showing the item available in the size I ordered. I contacted customer service who told me that there was a stock discrepancy, that they had updated the website to reflect that, and that they would be sending me a refund. The item then showed out of stock on the website. A few hours later the item showed in stock on the website again. I contacted customer service again and asked if the discrepancy was resolved if they could honor the order I'd placed the day before or I needed to place a new order. They advised me again that there was still a discrepancy and not to try to order the item again. Continuing to accept orders through the website on an item you know you don't have in stock seems like deceptive business practice to me. When the refund showed up on my credit card, it was only for the amount of the item, not the full amount with shipping. The sweater was the only item I ordered so when they cancelled my order they should have also refunded the shipping cost given that there was nothing left to ship. I again had to contact customer service to refund the shipping costs and I did eventually receive a separate refund for the shipping amount. This company continues to list items they know aren't stocked on their website, you have to contact them to find out why they canceled your order, and you have stay on top of customer service to make sure that you get your full refund. I wonder how often they get to keep the shipping fees paid by customers for items they never shipped because the customer didn't pay attention to their refund amount.

      Ive loved ModCloths vintage-inspired selection ever since I discovered them nearly a decade ago. They do have unique designs and cute prints and I always got tons of compliments on their pieces.Unfortunately, my recent experience was very disappointing. As a solid size S, I was shocked at how inconsistent the sizing has become many of their own-brand dresses run huge! Too wide, too long, and completely unpredictable.When I had to return everything, I discovered their return policy is far from customer-friendly. They charge a return processing fee per item, not per order, which adds up quickly. For a clothing store where returns are a normal part of the shopping process this policy feels unfair. Instead of discouraging returns, it discourages customers from coming back.

      I placed an order January 8, 2024. No updates for weeks although company continues to advertise sales on their website, social media and emails to me. Rep says shipments will begin again on 2/19. That passes and now I'm hearing 3/20. I decided to cancel my order because the clothes were for the winter and now it's spring. I got the refund but a few hours later, I got an email offering to take $5 off my next $25 or more with a picture of the same dress from the order I just canceled. A company should not continue to advertise like this when they are 3 months behind on shipments.

      I ordered on Jan 3 and was told there would be a delay. Checked in Jan 22 was told shipping would occur by Jan 31. Reached out today Feb 6 and they claim end of February now. There has been 0 communications. No emails regarding delays. No offer of any retribution. But they continue to advertise sales to get more people on the hook for products that *** never be sent. Buyer beware.

      I ordered a dress for my wedding. The next day I received an email saying that they are refunding me on my order. No explanation. I left an email to customer service. No response. I called customer service and got an apology with no explanation. So I ordered the dress again. After waiting about a week with no confirmation as to when my dress would arrive, I called customer service again and had them issue me a refund. Thanks for the let down, ModCloth. You lost a good customer.

      I haven't even received the items and I'm already having issues! I had been interested in purchasing from this brand ever since I initially saw the clothing. I love the style! After making the jump into purchasing some leggings, I attempted to use a $50 dollar off coupon their website provided. Unfortunately, I fell just below the threshold of how much I needed to spend before the coupon could be used but before I could continue to shop (utilizing Shopify payment portal) the website informed me that I just made the purchase! This was completely unintentional as I wasn't able to apply the 50$ off nor could I continue to shop. Immediately I attempted to contact their customer service number but had miss the opening hours. I then immediately emailed their support team. Following the next day I had called them again and after speaking with a rep. they informed me that I couldn't cancel the order because it already shipped. They then stated I could get $25 coupon off, but not the $50 since I was $3.03 short of the threshold for the $50 coupon. They also mentioned I couldn't seek reimbursement for shipping due to my "purchase" being $3.03 short of free shipping. Lastly, they said I had to wait for the items to arrive and pay another $6.69 to return the items. I tried calling them back, within their confirm hours, and no one answered the phone. So in conclusion I'll be spending $12.95 to ship items I'll be returning for another $6.69. Effectively spend almost $20 on nothing.... I'd be happy to keep the clothes and even pay for shipping if they could forgive the $3.03 and use the $50 coupon on a purchase of nearly $200. This was a very negative and disappointing experience overall.

      Bait and switch, misleading prices on website.

      Website states what price would be if you sign up for text alrets and emails. After signing up prices change, even after using the coupon code that was emailed, the price of the item was still over $10 increase then promised price. Company will not honor lower price on website even with screenshots as proof.

      Hey, there! We do honor prices as they are listed on the website. We do not change the prices when folks sign up for our discounts. We have in the past put out ads with incorrect prices, and when contacted by customers, have always honored those prices, as the mistake was our own.

      We are not sure where the screenshot in question came from. Unfortunately, this customer may have pulled the image from a look-a-like site pretending to be our brand. Several visual inconsistencies between the screenshot and our product page, have lead us to conclude that this was not an image of our product. If the customer still thinks an error occurred and would like to discuss this further and provide more information around this incident, they are welcome to write in to *******@modcloth.com. We would be happy to look into this further.
