Checking my credit report I noticed that I had a derogatory charge on my credit report of an unpaid debt. I contacted the company, Central ************** to inquire about this. I spoke to someone named ******* that it was a $938 debt that I owed. He refused to give me any information regarding the company alleging this debt. He advised me that I needed to send a letter to Central ************** asking them to remove the report from my credit report. I did so, and 3 weeks later I contacted him again and he stated that he hadn't received the letter. He then started getting ugly with me. I Googled this company and it seems there are a lot of claims against them regarding this same scam. Something needs to be done about this company.Initial Complaint

On July 6, 2023, I got an alert on my credit report that I have an account put into collections by ************* services on behalf of 01 SCI in the amount of $971. I have no idea what this collection is for or what this company offers. I tried to call to find out what this was about and all that I was told was that I had a debt in 2017 that needs to be paid and has now been placed in collections, but they refused to tell me what the actual product or service was, that they claim I owe. This collection company is trying to defraud me and has ruined my credit score which I'm working hard to maintain, without any proof of purchase. How can a random company place a collection account on a person's credit report without cause. I have disputed the account on all my credit reports, and I need them to have it removed.Initial Complaint

I have no idea who 01SCI is but they just appeared on my credit report stating that I owe them money. I keep all of my bills and debts in good standing and haven't had a derogatory report in 15 years. Now randomly this company is stating that I owe them $999 which is an oddly specific number to owe for a debt.Initial Complaint

I was hit with a derogatory **** on my credit with a company i have never heard of. I do not order magazines or anything else like this. They are saying I owe $915 to 01SCI i have never heard of any company and it quite frustrating that any company can place a collections on your account without any knowledge of this. I worked hard the last year to get my credit were it is to have some fake company say I owe them. This needs to be handle immediately. I have tried calling the collections agency for this company with no response. I am very upset and will be working with local law enforcement to have this handle if I can not get this resolved soon. I was working on buying my first house and now I have to wait even longer because people cant seem to get money the correct way but instead by scamming people who have no clue what is going on.Initial Complaint

I moved out of River Vista apartments (property owned by *****************) on March 20, 2023. On March 24, 2023 I received my itemized move out statement from the property and was advised my account would be handled by Central Billing. Upon review of the move out statement I discovered an error - a late fee was applied in error. Additionally, my account with ********************** included TWO move out statements. Although the amounts were the same, the itemizations were vastly different. I contacted Central Billing and was advised to submit proof of the error. I complied and submitted an email chain between myself and the property manager acknowledging that the late fee was in error. ***************** has removed the late fee, updated my move out statement, and sent a copy to myself and Central Billing. Although I have done everything that is asked, Central Billing has not updated my account to reflect the correct amount due. Additionally, the manager ******** could not provide a suffice answer as to why there are two move out statements with varying itemizations (neither of which is the correct move out statement). ******** promised to provide corporate information so that I can escalate the matter but has failed to do so. Central Billing is guilty of practicing unethical business practices in order to charge residents incorrectly.Initial Complaint

Central Billing LLC Is a scam collection agency preying on people along with his other scam companies called ************************ and Central Fiscal LLC They try to extort less than $1000 all the time for magazine subscription collections that people never ordered. The companies that the debt is supposedly owed to, each don't exist. The Collection Companies websites are all scams and the addresses are actually always to a PO mailbox store or rental office/desk.. They incorporate the companies names in other states and change the names usually once a year. Other company names they have used include Umbrella Recovery Team doing the same scam with ************************ and Capital Billing Service. Owned and run by the same guy and been doing it for over a decade The stupid credit reporting bureaus allow him to do it even after hundreds/thousands of complaints of fraud. Don't pay the collection. I'd love for victims to make complaints to the ****** Postal inspectors to finally take this guy down. Central ****** Services placed a collection on my SSN on 12/6/2022. Never heard of company they say they are collecting for. Amount is $960 like others I have read in reviews. This company needs to be put out of business immediately before they ruin people's lives.
