On February 20, 2024, Karlo Garage Door and Gate sent a technician to installed new garage door springs because they were broken, and the garage door would not open. I was charged to open the garage door and replace the springs. Opening the door plus the repairs cost $1200.00. The very next morning I was about the garage door, I just touched the door, and it popped open by itself and in was still in the lock position. I immediately call Karlo Garage to report the problem. I was that a repairman would come out that day. No one ever showed. I called many times/days after and they I was told they would send out a repair man, but no one ever showed. I continued to call, and was put on hold, and no one would come to the phone, or I was disconnected. I am requesting that a technician come out to repair the garage door that was not fixed correctly, or a portion of my money returned.Initial Complaint

My husband had stayed home from work today 7/24/2023. Our garage door was not opening. He found 24/7 Garage Repair in *********, ** on ******* Ph#**************. It also comes up as Karlo Garage Doors & Gates. The guy came promptly and there was a $20.00 fee just to look at the problem. The garage door was not opening and my husband help him by holding the handle while the guy jimmied the door open (we do not have a door opener it is ******). The wire to the garage door was frayed and was broken. The guy indicated it would take $185.00 to fix. My husband who is a plumber was very upset. His office does not even charge this for a hour of work. The ***************** rigged the frayed wire and put a s**** on it and gave my husband a bill for $310 and he was only there for 1/2 hour. My husband was more then upset and advised the guy he was only paying got the $185.00 only. Paid cash & received a receipt. My husband tried to call the owner and they hung up on him and blocked his ph#. What a major rip off!!!Initial Complaint

My garage door got stuck, I believe the rail was a little off track, which caused the door to stop. The motor was fine, the cable was fine and the garage door is only 3 years old. When I called to get an appointment, they told me for the person to come out, it would only be $19.00. Once the guy got here, he said that it would be $250.00 not including parts, if it needed any. I verbally agree to that. Then he went on to tell me that a couple other things needed to be replaced and would cost me a total of $600.00 to $700.00 dollars. I said no and he said he was trying to help me out. He would talk with his boss and see if he could get it down to $500.00. I asked him to just push the door back up and I would try to find someone else. He said HE COULDN'T PUSH IT OPEN BECAUSE IT WAS BROKEN. Making me believe that I was going to have to pay no matter what. After I made another phone call and requested him to stop working, he some how miraculously was able to open the garage door again. I had to pay him the $250.00 dollars and had him leave. I had someone else come out and they were able to straighten the rail and NOTHING ELSE was broken. THIS COMPANY RIPPED ME OFF AND LIED.Initial Complaint

I contacted them because a cable had broken on my garage door so the door was not openimg. They sent out a technician to fix the cable which he did. In the meantime he originally told me that the springs were fine and that there possibly was a problem with the motor. The door still was not functioning properly after he replaced the cable, so he convinced me to have them replace the springs which I had replaced only six months before. After replacing the springs he left, the door still was not working properly, so I called him and asked him why the door was not working, he told me that the motor was a problem and therefore he needed to change the motor and it will cost me between $2200 and $3400. The next day I contacted another garage door company and they sent out their technician to inspect and find out what the problem was. After inspecting my garage door, they found that a sensor wire had been cut and that was the problem behind the garage door not opening correctly. They fix the wire and now the garage door works perfectly.Initial Complaint
