      I agreed for down town la law to represent me on my lemon law case instead of the firm I was using they agreed but two months later they called me and my sister to let us know they will not be representing us because the current firm was to far into the case and the settlement we got from the other firm was fair. I was fine with it . But know they are not canceling the law suit against *** and sending me a letter that they are no longer my lawyer so the other firm can continue with my case. I been dealing with ******************* and all I get is promises and thats it this has been going on for almost two months

      I had an injury in August 2018. I settled the first part of the case with *************** in March 2021. My case was finally settled through mediation with the other parties involved in April 2023. It is now September 2023. I have asked repeatedly for accounting over 4 months and was repeatedly told how the case was being negotiated. Really? Because the final accounting I got 5 months later, shows the negotiations should have taken a week.7 visits to a chiroprator (DTLA sent me to) was originally over $26,000. WTF?! No chiroprator is worth that. The charges were based off trying to get as much money as possible, far and above market rates.Then we have the settlement paperwork. It did not include the 2021 settlement. One of the other two parties who were sued were listed incorrectly (brand name vs actual company name.) So. I declined to sign, told them why and now crickets. No one answers the phone or calls me back, except for one virtual assistant who cannot get in touch with her boss. The ***** **** is not doing their job. When I look online at the average time between settlement and payout, I see 8 weeks. Well it has been 4 months and I can't even get the paperwork correct to have the check processed. You have been holding money (supposedly in escrow for me) since 2021 and these funds are not listed on the settlement sheet? You are told this and you do not make it a priority to correct and update tyhe paperwork? You don't reach out to the client? There is a reason you have two pages of Complaints. Your buisness must learn to communicate. I should not have to do this much work when you get 40% of the settlement, but I'm the one with the pain. It would be fine if I had not been through no communication, 2 attorneys (no word on why the switch-just a switch in mediation) and had to have DAYS of reaching out to you for a zoom link for a settlement conference. It has been 5 years since this case was filed and 5 months since the settlement. Resolution is needed ASAP

      I have a slam dunk case about a lemoned out vehicle causing me to crash due to its malfunction. I even have police reports to back this up. This law firm will not even answer a simple phone call. Ive been trying at minimum once a week to get ahold of someone who could answer my questions that would literally take them less than ***** minIve even expressed this over emailNO RESPONSE, EVER. Ive called the office and they say someone will be in touch. Their customer service rep called me and couldnt answer any of my questions but left me yet again with Ill get someone in touch with you. Idk who Someone is but they dont know how to do their job. This feels like a scam. I let them know Id be seeking other representation due to lack of communication, SURPRISE, still no response. This company is a joke and if I can save people from choosing them, Ill do what I can. The stress that comes after a car accident, especially one thats not your fault, is enough to deal with. These people lack empathy and most importantly professionalism. Im disgusted.

      The date of the incident was 11/29/2019 I fell at someone's home while delivering an Instacart order.I shopped around for lawyers and upon speaking with ***** at Downtown La Law Group assured me that this is what he does he advised me that this case is called Premise Liability. He made me feel comfortable and answered a lot of questions that I had at the time. My biggest mistake was not reading their reviews. I signed a contract with them on December 1, 2019 so I had to weed through the different law firms. Downtown La Law Group were very helpful in the beginning up until they (**********************) (**************) and (*********************) keep pushing me to get surgeries that I really didn't want to get. However, at the advice of counsel and a doctor I choose to get them, they kept saying that you may as well get everything done while you can. ***** had advised me that the homeowners had $1,000,000. Policy as well as an extra policy like a Gap type of insurance he also advised me that if that is what the policyholders have then we will shoot for the total policy. So get the surgeries and he would assure me that he would take care of me so that I would have money in my pocket. I had to have an Rt Shoulder Arthroscopy as well as a Left Knee Arthroscopy which still gives me more pain prior to what I feel to be unnecessary surgeries. I feel that Downtown La Law Group are a bunch of scammers, they are schemers, and they also steal from their clients me being one of them and I refuse to settle for what they are trying to give me. I am sure that they use the same doctor as well as the same facilities that just run up client's bills so that they can pad their pockets. I have since read the reviews and have been reaching out to former clients who mostly all share the same story. I just want what is due to me I am tired of the lack of communication and the constant run around. I was told in Jan that my case would be settled in 4 to 6 weeks it is now Aug. Please help me to get justice.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      Downtown LA LAW Group are con artist they take advantage of their clients and pay them pennies on the dollar. They have doctors in their pockets that will advise you to get surgeries that you do not need just to run your bill up so that they receive a bigger chunk of your settlement. I wish that I had read the reviews prior to selecting them to work on my case.. I would NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS CHOOSE THEM NOR DO I RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. I was advised that my case was over a million dollars then mysteriously my case was only $100,000. Yet and still they took over 75% of that charging bogus fees. Charging me for fees that I never incurred and I called them on it and they always had something to say when in fact I live in a different state and I was not even in ********** at the time of the charges... Downtown LA LAW Group are thieves they rob their clients. I've spoken to several past and present clients that experienced the same things as I have now why is that? Why does most of their clients complain about the same things so it can't just be me.... So I definitely reject this response because it shouldn't have taken this long to respond to this complaint its has been months.

If you got 100k settlement per your statement, then that's what you agreed on we do not settle a case unless you agree. If you don't want to agree to $100,000 you shouldn't sign the settlement doc. Our rates and deductions are within industry standard, and lawyers do make and or charge to litigate a case this can be more than anticipated, but never outside the norm. We discuss our rates upon taking your case and supply you with the percentage upon settlement. We can work for free for a few years before seeing a cent from your case.       I am rejecting this response because: You can say what you want about the firm you work for and if they fired you today you would be saying the same things, I've said so let's not play these games. Again, I have a list of previous as well as current clients who feel the exact same sentiment. So, let's get our facts straight. There is no way I filed this complaint months ago and you all have just now decided to respond. Goes to show what great customer service you all have. SAY WHAT YOU WANT EITHER WAY I WAS NOT SATISFIED WITH DOWNTOWN LA LAW GROUP SO WHERE IS THE LIES OR SLANDER. YOU ALL DO NOT ANSWER THE ***** AND WHEN YOU DO YOU ARE LEFT ON HOLD FOR OVER 30 MINUTES, THE PEOPLE IN THE OFFICE ARE RUDE AND HANG UP ON YOU the attorneys barely answer the phone why give out their number if you don't plan to answer. THIS IS NOT THE PLATFORM TO GO BACK AND FORTH MONTHS LATER YOU HAVE MY NUMBER USE IT. IM DONE TALKING!!!!!!

      I hired Downtown LA Law Group after a serious Injury at work in 2018! They hold back ***** Dollar of my Settlement after failure of them to inform ***************** After multiple Messages and a letter in June that **************** did not have any open medical bills regarding the case and closing the Account ********************** did not payout the Amount and i did not get any response

      This firm represented me in a ebike injury lawsuit that started four years ago, Feb 20th 2019 the accident happened, hired them two weeks later, the settlement wasnt for that much because I refused to lie like I was advised to do, was contacted by their office may 31 2023 and was asked to sign the disbursement agreement, and was told my portion would be mailed two days later friday the 2nd. I contact them on june 14th asking why I have not recieved the check, they responded with GOOD NEWS the check will be ready after 2pm, please let us know if you will step by the office or if you would like us to mail it out, I told them to mail it out and gave them my address again, after It didnt arrive again I contacted them to ask why again I hadent recieved my portion of the settlement, their final and only response was please confirm mailing address. My response was I dont understand this, I was told it would be mailed two weeks ago, called a week later and was told good news the check will be ready today at 2pm today send us your address, so I did and now you want it again, what is going on here? After this they are not answering texts or phone calls, I ask them for conformation on when the check was sent, no response, then ask the next day if someone to please get back to me, no response. Contacted them agin 6/24/23 in a text and again no response, last time I talked to them was their switch board operator that was suitably embarrassed. The last text I sent them a text was to inform them I would be filing a complaint with your office.

      I am using la law firm on a ***** and their lack of co communication and accountability has caused this case to go on for over 2 years with a statue of limitations is 2 years. I asked for my paperwork they can't even give me that. They act as though I work for them but really it's they that work for me. I have no idea what's going on with my case and haven't even heard any numbers yet for it which is ridiculous. Every time I speak to them I can't even talk to my actual lawyer I haven't not one time. This is horrible and disrespectful. I would never treat anybody especially someone that hired me like this. I could have had someone else that would have got the job done right and been a lot more helpfull.if i would have known it was going to be like this i would have never made that call.im out a lot of money bacause of this firm. They should get me what they said and i ahould be in contact with my lawyer.i wouldnt give anyone their recommendation. no way.

      Good Evening Farid,Although I am aware you have moved to Broadway now, I am upset by your Offices lack of empathy over my calls for assistance for the last 3 months. I have fallen and could not get up - suffered bruises and a fracture to my left forearm, even asking how I should submit pictures my neighbor took of my fall due to my left leg giving out back at the end of March! This of course was 2-1/2 years after my initial Injury. Any calls back from your Office? Nope!!! I am not surprised to be honest, given what I have observed online and read with your firms tract record over the last several years with over 30 Very Unhappy Clients - Currently listed with the BBB online for the World to See. I have Personally contacted You by telephone in hopes of saving you Embarrassment but apparently You have no worries of such a thing. Over one year ago You went so far as to seriously argue with me - calling Me a Woman of no Faith or Belief in my Case! So, I then none the less have now taken to the Internet to Plead my Case before like all the other Innocent Victims to Follow Suit. I trusted You Fully like an "Idiot". You lead ** poor Victims like a Cow to *********, you reel us in saying all the Right Words "We Clients" need to Hear and then Primp and Prod "Our" Case to Suit and Line Your Own Pockets! Have you any idea how it feels to be Revictimized All-Over-Again after a Very Serious Injury?? Prior to being Injured while shopping in a Pharmacy Store while reaching for a Beverage! How hard of a Case is this for You to Prove??? There were Camera's, Witness's (Customer's standing in line to check-out), a ******* and Asst. ******* on Site at the Time and other Witness's as well! Why is it taking 3 years +++++ I need to be made whole and get back to my Life and try to Live again.       I hired this law firm going on a year and a half ago the whole relationship between dtla law group and I has been random clerks And or so called receptionist that wont tell me who is representing me on my injury case I had the misfortune of getting chased by a dog during a doordash delivery and in the process of getting away to safety I had to jump a fence and landed on my face broke my nose and attained a huge gash on my forehead they sure were responding quick in the beginning in regards to putting a lien on my case and making it theirs they even sent me to get a surgery which I was under the assumption my insurance wouldve been the party whom took care of the bill but that was not the case The day of the surgery I find out they are billing me for the surgery just to add more money I would be in debt to them totally disregarding common sense and not taking their clients feedback on something as serious as a surgery that required me to go under anesthesia I never would have imagined i would still not know my lawyers name to this day and each time I try to contact anybody I always get the run around and Im able to speak with no one I would like the public to be informed not to make the same mistake I made in hiring. These unprofessional group of individuals that are heartless selfish and only in it for them self they disregard their clients to the fullest especially if the case isnt worth to much for them results Im looking for is real communication with my actual lawyer and any type of sign they are actually moving forward with my case if they fail to meet my basic request I would be more than satisfied for you guys to make this public for the world to see and not another person gets stuck in their unprofessional work ethic they present thank you for your time
