      I hired them back in mid December to help me with a hit and run case and they called only to bill me. And now that my court date just passed they won't answer any on my phone calls or messages for an update on what happened at court. Worthless service

      My family and I received a flyer from the law offices of David S Chelsey. We chose this firm due to the flyer stating they "consider you a member of our family" "do everything in our power to ensure that you avoid jail time". I have been completely blown off, and have no information about my own case. My family contacted the firm on January 15th 2022, my next court date at the time was February 1st 2022 my family paid a retainer fee of $***** and agreed to monthly payments. I was told and contacted by a ** *** **** would be my attorney. She asked for a letter from family which family provided. Two days prior to court family received via text message that a different attorney would be at court,family immediately contacted the firm and asked if they needed further information being as though a new attorney would be present. Via ****** stated no. The day of court the lawyer stated less than 10 words to me told me to Say "yes". Which I did. And he asked for court to be moved to March 28th 2022. I am devastated. My family and I have called repatedly for information as to why he did this?! Why wasn't a bail asked to be lowered. My family immediately called The firm and was told there would be no information until a report from the lawyer was available for 3 days as of Thursday February 3rd I still have no information about my case. My family spoke with****** who stated an attorney would be contacting us because we were "desperate for information" I don't want to feel as though my family and I are desperate for anything yet we deserve information after hiring an attorney. I'm beyond concerned and worried about my future if this law firm continues to handle or not handle my case. My family received a text the morning of Fed 7.2022 stating I have court on Feb 8th. That's not true. I'm beyond worried,how could my laser not know the correct court dates!?

On February 11th family was contacted by a representative by the name ******. Who explained a few things with myself and family on a 3-way call.What I didn't like and what I don't like is... I was supposed to have a visit from a lawyer on February 17th or 18th that has not happened, further contact to my family so I have no clue what's going on! No reschedule no anything! I do not feel my family should have to keep reaching out to this Law Firm.A major issue that I have is the conversation between ****** and family basically felt a little threatening if the review was not removed/ correct it could be a conflict of interest and firm may not want to work with me.I don't understand this way,of business. they took there payment!I do not agree or feel comfortable with the way my case is handled and in all honesty I would like a refund so that I can find another lawyer!! My public defender had more information was actually reaching out working on my case this was a mistake on my part. I don't want to have to sit here and wonder! I didn't have family take down the review (i stand by the review) or are they just overlooking me because they're mad about the review this is not the way to work with a professional law firm and I am very disappointed and confused. Lawyers often change the lawyer or have someone else stand in to get a set of new eyes on the case. As an attorney you should always seek a different opinion or reassurance to ensure the client gets the best defense. Here at the office its a plus because you have several different minds reviewing the case. We actually gave the client one of our top trial lawyers to handle this case at the last appearance on 4/21/22 at no extra cost. The reason we said this matter was resolved before was because we did have a conference call and everyone was on the same page. The firm has spent countless hours reviewing the discovery, litigating with the district attorney and speaking with the client and his family. Again, the firm is still actively handling this case. After being text several reminders that********** was going to be there the day of court.I don't even who I should be expecting, there's no communication. I don't know they are working on my case. I have court this morning and no one has called me to discuss ANYTHING! NO SUPERVISOR CALLED ON MAY 19!I NEVER EVEN RECEIVED A VISIT WHEN IN CUSTODY AFTER BEING TOLD FROM A SUPERVISOR I WOULD. I made a payment on the 20th. So there is communication but nothing OTHER THAN PAYMENT AND constant emails and text reminders of when I have court. It's 9:20am NO LAWER IS present at this time.( I'm not even sure who/is coming). I'm not sure what is going on again! If the law office has spoke to the da why wasn't I informed? I nor my family have been informed of anything from the start! Like I stated the only time I ever hear from this firm is when it's time for court they send these constant texts and email reminders and I heard from the law office I believe her name is ***** because my payment had to be changed to a different card. I'm very disappointed,worried, confused and I don't like how I've been treated.       On 05/25/2021 the law office stepped in to represent a client half the payment was made up front stating they will due all they have to do to get the issue resolved on 06/22/2021 court was continued and no offer was made again it very hard get through to the Sacramento office because of there hold time and rude assistance answering on 07/19/2021 court was continued again which the client ask for his attorney to file a motion that was never filed on 08/04/2021 court was continued again with no information provided to the client mr.****** on 08/30/2021 court was continued again when no response no deal and no other option made the law office didn't do anything to represent mr.f as they stated in the agreement on 09/20/2021 the law office relieve there self from being mr.****** lawyer due to the 180.00 which I paid after I realized that payment was due but couldn't reach them yet then they stated they wasn't retained to go to trail when trail was never the option addition to that I called and spoke with many people and advised them when I made the last payment of the 500.00 why wasn't it stated that the balance of 180 was due I ve already paid all of it why would I cancel now it was a response as of it didn't matter because as they stated it was out of there hands due to he was going to trail which was not true now on 9/20 a warrant was issue due to failure to appear which the client called the attorney and spoke with ***** which she stated she would step in and there was no need for him to come in however that was untrue addition to that he provides the attorney with his new number and also left a message because he want to know his next court date but we could never get a answer or message back from the law office nor the attorney nobody knew what was until 11/02 when mr.f was arrested on a warrant the law office stated he didn't have multiple time not on that I called on 11/19 regarding this matter an unethical and misrepresentation of the law office I had to call

      July 2021 Amount $**** I hired this firm to help my boyfriend out, I did some research and Googled the business. Their reviews are misleading a d false. Since hiring them the only contact from them was when they were collecting the payments for the retainer. Since then there has been zero contact, no information, no updates, no hey you have court tomorrow, this is what's going on etc. We were told one attorney was going to visit him while he was still in custody only to have another one finally show up 3 days later. They have not been forthcoming or made us feel as though they are working to help us in any way. He has covid right now and was unable to make it to court he called his attorney " ************" and never even received a call back. They are completely unprofessional and are not making us feel like he has anyone backing him up. We haven't even received bare minimum services. Total joke.

      On July 28th I signed a retainer agreement and made a down payment of $1200 for lawyer representation. On August 4th, a lawyer **** ***** left me a message to call him. I did and he never returned my call. I Call the law off and spoke to Admin staff, ******* about unethical behavior. August 9th finally received a call from lawyer ****** for consultation. He repeatedly stated during the call how he was tired and it was a long day and was asked to repeat my statement constantly. Did not hear from him after that. On August 25th, I requested a refund of my $1200 as nothing was done and was not able to reach any of the lawyers only their voice mail. On August 26th ****** left a message saying their was no update on the case. On August 26th received a call from Office Manager, **** ******** promising to assist me. I left messages on his office phone and cell number that he gave me, he has not returned none of my call. I find this behavior unprofessional and unethical and I need a refund.
