      After I hired this form no one in the entire world would get back to me. Never. Not once. They never reached out despite my multiple attempts to reach them, request my case file, hello anything.until they decided to file a Lien on my case and I received a grand total of $10 in reimbursements. The name of the organization that is filing the Lien is *************************. I have never heard of this person. It is not the person who took on my case. Her name was ********. No one at the aforementioned firm has ever done any work on my case ever, nor have they ever sent me anything, nor have they attempted to reach me. I consider their business practices predatory if this was intentional and inappropriate and negligent at best. How dare they all of a sudden come up out of the woodwork like that? I would never ever ever suggest that anyone work with them or hire them ever. They will dodge your calls, emails, everything. It is my belief that they are attempting to get a payout without having to have done any work on the case whatsoever. If they do not drop this, I will be filing a complaint with the ***************************

      absolutely not! No one ever gets back to me!!!! Literally the only contact I ever had with these scammers is when I signed the papers  then not one person ever got back to me. Does the respondent not understand that *** already tried everything else? If they dont remove the lien, I will be filing immediate complaints with the bar for the two attorneys Ive seen on the paperwork, which are *************************, *********************, and now the respondent as well because they are all making claims to the $10 I won on my case but have never done anything whatsoever

      In December 2023, I hired Downtown L.A. Law to handle a worker's comp. case. I signed a retainer. After a few months had passed without the company scheduling treatment appointments, I reached out to them to find out why the delay. Their lack of responds prompted me to seek legal assistance elsewhere so I contacted another law firm around ****** Law ****** of Atty. ************************* *************, who requested my case file from Downtown L.A. Law. Both law firms seem to be stringing me along. I don't know if Downtown L.A. Law forwarded the file because they have not responded. I don't feel comfortable that both firms collected my personal information, including my signature and appear to have moved on. I filed a civil rights complaint and I need to know if I am represented and I need medical care.I want both firms to let me know if I am represented or not and which firm has my case file.

      I hired this law firm to represent me in scooter accident that lead to the need of surgery. The firm had had the settlement funds for almost a month now. During the end of the settlement offer I was told they had negotiated tge settlement in the amount listed. I advised my attorney **** that the amount does cover the total amount ofcmy medical bills i was ypld not to worry , they were not my actual bill amount and they have a department to negotiate the balance so i could walk away with migority of the settlement and now all of that has changed. Im getting nothing but the run around from this law firm. I thought I had a trusted reliable firm but I'm feeling scammed. Please help!

      middle of March ******************* law for help with a work-related injury. i was placed on total disability by a doctor used by the firm. i turned in my disability app 5/3/24 and didn't get my first payment until middle of May. Now I've been disqualified from disability because the doctor this firm uses has not sent in a form that was emailed to him. All the disability office needs in an updated email address for the doctor which my case manager has and won't give me which has now made me jobless, homeless, still injured with no resolution and a decline in my mental health. My case manager ****** doesn't return phone calls, doesn't call back or correspond and is barely in the office. I been asking for a different case manager for almost 2 months because I barely get updated. The receptionist act more concerned than the case managers so now I don't have a home a job or help meanwhile I'm still injured yet I still don't have a valid email address for the doctor. She's very rude non helpful and is barely in the office and now I am at the lowest point in my life because of this situation. Her words are we can't help with the **** yet you have my doctors info and won't give it to me so I can get requalified for my disability benefits. They scheduled me a QME doctor visit over the phone while I have physical injuries shown in my mri result so how is that going to work. I don't know when Ima see a specialist, I'm **** near just ready to drop the case because I done lost everything else dealing this this pathetic firm, and still have no answer

      This is a lemon law case. I hired Downtown LA Law Group in January of 2023 and was told that everything should be resolved on August of 2023. We are now in May of 2024 and I have been getting the run around of when I will be receiving my settlement check. I surrendered my vehicle on March 22, 2024 and was told once surrendered it would take 2 weeks to receive check. I have had to get rides to work because the vehicle I surrendered was my main transportation. On April 16, 2024 I was told by ****** that check was going to be mailed that same day. I then get a text stating that she made a mistake it would take another 2 weeks. I waited and still nothing. I then call back and ask to speak to ******** superior. ******** gets on the phone and tells me that my case has to be finalized by the court and its going to take a couple of weeks. I keep getting different information every time I call. Its been 5 weeks since surrendering my vehicle and I need my money so I can purchase myself another car for transportation. Im pretty sure they got their cut.

      For the past year I've obtained the services of, and been working with Downtown LA Law Group on a slip and fall case, which they had assured me from the very beginning that they were very certain they would win. However, from the very beginning, their firm had been lying about everything that we've discussed about the case. They said that they were taking on my case because it was considered a very easy slam dunk for them, and they were very confident that it would never even reach litigation, but if it did, then they'd represent me, and the cost for their service would increase to 5% from the settlement. They also said that none of the medical bills they accumulate from all the medical visits and treatments would be my responsibility unless we win the case. They knew Exactly what the facts and circumstances of my case were, as I did explain everything to them, very thoroughly, from the very beginning. They were very clear on the case, along with acknowledging the location I was in, and where the incident took place. Fast forward, nearly a year later, to the present day, they are now saying that they cannot proceed with my case because they were unable to reach a settlement for me, and it is likely that my case will have to move into litigation to which they said they cannot assist me with because I am in a different state. They did attempt to dump my case off to a couple of firms in my state, but when they turned it down, Downtown LA Law Group sent me one simple email saying that they've reviewed the circumstances of my case, and now all of a sudden they cannot continue assisting me with the case. And they are also saying that I am responsible for all the medical bills from all the appointments they set up and instructed me to attend. And all this transpired just a couple of months before the 2 year timeframe under the statue of limitation to file a lawsuit, so it puts me in a very bad situation and position.

      I am rejecting this response because I Knew that they were just giving both me and more so the BBB a simple response just to cover their end, and in hopes that I would accept it which would therefore close out this complaint.  I Knew they were not going to get back with like they said they were, and I deliberately waited an entire week to further prove my point.  No one from their firm has contacted me since last week when they responded back to my complaint saying someone will reach out to me.  I would like a more explicit response with when and how someone from their firm will be contacting me regarding this matter.  It would be in their best interest to contact me **** as I am also planning on filing a complaint with the bar association, and also a lawsuit against them for malpractice if my original case that they are supposed to be assisting me with has an unfavorable outcome and/or is financially affected due to their negligence and misconduct.

      I am rejecting this response because your firm took on my case a year ago, assuring me a favorable outcome of at least a settlement.  And if a settlement could not be reached, I was also assured that the firm would assist me with litigation.  With that being said, your firm is fully responsible for finishing my case.  I am certain there is a law that protects people from this type of negligence and misconduct where a firm can waste someone's time for an entire year, rack up a bunch of medical bills for them, then just "drop their case" at the last minute, right before the 2 year statue of limitation to file suit.  That puts people in a very bad position.  Again, I am requesting for the firm to continue assisting me with my case like they said they would from the very beginning to the very end, or find me a firm that will.  My case is still very much their responsibility to handle.  And again, I will be filing a complaint to the bar association soon, as well as a lawsuit against the Downtown LA Group if they leave me in this mess.

      I am rejecting this response because:  My complaint is Very Valid.  Your firm took on my case a year ago, and ****** me along this whole time KNOWING all the facts, details, and circumstances behind the case, then all of sudden towards the very end (right before the 2 year statue of limitations to file suit) the firm just "decides to drop my case," and you're saying that's okay?  And not only that.  I was lied to from the very beginning.  The firm knew 100% that I was in a different state, and Assured me that wouldn't be an issue.  Then after the firm was unsuccessful in reaching any kind of settlement, they then tell me THAT is the reason they have to drop my case because they are unable to proceed forward with litigation since I am not in the same state as them.  And I specifically remember this, very clearly, because they mentioned to me that IF we do have to take the case to court, then they would be *********** 40% of the winnings rather than 35% from just a settlement outside of litigation.  Then furthermore, they also assured me that I would not have to be responsible for any of the medical bills they accumulate for me from all the medical visits and treatments they set up for me, which by the way took up a great deal of my time, and heavily inconvenienced me and effected my work for several months.  Now, I'm also learning that I'm responsible for those bills even though I was told that I would not be.  Again, another false assurance made to me from the very beginning.  With all that being said, I think my complaint is VERY Valid, and I will continue to request for the Downtown LA Law Group to honor their commitment to me by either finishing out my case (going into litigation if needed like they said they would), or find another firm that will assist me because I am left in a bad position because of them.  Stringing me along for a year, only to "drop my case" just months before my 2 year statue of limitation to file suit against the business I obtained their service to help me **** is not unreasonable at all.  I've contacted numerous attorneys, and am very clear on what I can and will do once we reach an outcome for this matter.  I most certainly will have my day with this firm in court in due time.  And along with your next BBB response, I would like the name of the attorney who has been working on my case this whole time.  Again, I am requesting for you to provide me with the name of the lawyer who has been handling my case.

      March the 7th 2024 I waS SO I'M WAITING FOR THEM TO CALL ME BACK to sign the retainer , INSTEAD OF DOING THE PROFESSIONAL THING THEY DECIDED TO PUT ME ON CALLER ID AND IGNORE ME, on caller ID and ignore me. guess when you're unethical you just unethical THE CRUELTY IS UNMEASURABLE AND THE PUBLIC NEEDS TO KNOW THAT THEY WOULD ACT THIS UNETHICALLY AND LOOKING AT THEIR REVIEWS THEY GAVE 2 star ratings in my opinion that was way too generous, Think about it if you're facing the worst day that a person can face in their life, is losing their home for no reason, THE CRUELTY IN THIS !!!       Downtown LA law Group are dishonest and unprofessional. They received their money but for some reason they feel as though it's ok to lie to me about my portion of the settlement. They did not communicate with me regularly and they pretty much ignored me once they were paid. They still haven't released my settlement check, but keep telling me that they would send it out, this has gone on for some time now, I'm on the verge of being on the street and loosing my vehicle, I couldn't celebrate my oldest daughter's birthday because they didn't send my check like they said they would. I'm in a hardship and all they keep doing is giving me the run around!

      Downtown LA law has not been a good lawfirm to deal with. They took my case for granted and did not prepare for mediation and had unexpected bills which they did not handle in a timely basis. They are now at 7 months and they have not provided the billing and also not negotiated bills that should not be in place. The lawfirm has only their interest in mind and have been terrrible to work with and hope that this is seen by others as they have been terrible.

      I am rejecting this response because:  The business has not corrected or lived up to their side of the bargain to earn their fees.  They have failed to perform their duties to prepare for trial and above all else the company is attempting to be a bill collector. I consider 7 months of delays to beyond reasonable and I have contacted the business over 10 times and they have failed to correct the matter.

      At this time I believe that the intent on Downtown LA law is to harm a disabled individual to maximise revenue and not to do what is proper and right.  The worst decision I ever made was to go with Downtown LA law.  I have repeatedly asked for them to correct the errors and make sure that I am paid for my accident.  They are allowing a party with a unperfected lien to collect from the settlement.  This was not authorized and was verified by contacting Social Security.

      I am disabled and elderly and have a company that advertises that they help people take advantage of me with intent to make it a financial harm.

      I am rejecting this response because: I contacted LA Law and they are misrepresenting the facts. The bills have numerous errors. I disputed the expense report and request a detail accountability. The firm ignores request to provide accountability. 

      the liens have been contested and the attorneys ignore request to have lien removed. This is an invalid lien and Downtown La Law  is again failing to assist and do their job 

      The firm is acting as collectors. They misrepresent and it seems they are intentional  making excuses to address issue and resolved problem.; additionally. I am under ******** and the medical bills were never submitted to ******** Claims dept at CMS. There is no proof of this.therefore this lien is not valid.  

      The response given by Downtown La Law is not correct as they are not looking into the matter.

      I agreed for down town la law to represent me on my lemon law case instead of the firm I was using they agreed but two months later they called me and my sister to let us know they will not be representing us because the current firm was to far into the case and the settlement we got from the other firm was fair. I was fine with it . But know they are not canceling the law suit against *** and sending me a letter that they are no longer my lawyer so the other firm can continue with my case. I been dealing with ******************* and all I get is promises and thats it this has been going on for almost two months
