I have showed up to donate plasma multiple times at this location. More than half of the time I have to wait over an hour to even start my donation, despite having to make an appointment for each donation. I do not think some of the staff is properly trained as they consistently mess up putting the IV in my arm. I do not recommend anyone come here.Review from Christina P

I have been turned down 5 times at 43rd location with appointments set on donor hub for first donor. With poor excuses and rude staff. Im not no *** I work in the medical field myself and want a reason why you allow to set appointments and get turned down when u arrive on time or early. This is really unprofessional and I will call and complain to every office and organization possibleReview from Alan R

I am writing this review about Biomat (Grifols), a plasma donation center located at **************************************************************************. The nursing staff is unprofessional and passed me on my first physical, allowed me to donate, after which time the phlebotomist did an awful job leaving such a big bruise I would not use that arm again when I came back for my second donation two days later. At the time, I was informed that medically while I passed the first time the nurse made a mistake and did not ask what type of heart valve I had (this was a phone call after I left the center) or put down a diagnosis for one of my medications, which necessitated having my doctor complete a form saying I was ok to donate. I took the form to my doctor who in two separate places on their companys form indicated that based on my medications and health history I was cleared to donate plasma twice a week. He did not list my meds but obviously knows them and please note they accepted the list from me prior to my first visit. Based on his not listing my meds, which again they had, they indicated without that section completed the form was no good. I offered to take the form back to the doctor to have him add the list and they then said, sorry, he will have to complete a whole new form and this time do it correctly (like any physician will do that). To add insult to injury they then told me after they accepted the form I would have to go all the way back to square one and do the whole first 2 and 1/2 hour appointment again. I told them no way. I said they could make a copy of my doctor's form but I wanted the original back. After more delay, they said I would have to sign a release to get back the form I brought to them and they rejected. This company and its staff a sub-par, which is not good for a company that deals with medical issues and peoples health.Review from Dianne T

Let me start by saying while it is certainly great that my donation helps others, I donate because I NEED the money! I have been going to this location for over 3 years now. At first, all was well. They were well staffed & they were a nice, caring place. The 1st issue I had occurred when a new tech entered my protein # incorrectly (making it lower than the accepted ****** *** was deferred. No compensation. I inquired why they couldn't just fix it. They said the system wouldn't let them do it. I asked to see a manager, which of course had already left for the day. I found it hard to believe they could NOT over ride it. I followed up the next day to at the no avail. I tried calling Corp, no response. The 2nd incident was very upsetting & completely unprofessional. I was suppose to give on Saturday, (but I had a funeral to go to),so when I went on the Thursday before, I asked the tech (whom has been there a long time) if I could donate on Sunday instead & still get my 2nd donate fee ($75)? She said yes, I could even donate Monday if I wanted to. I specifically asked so it doesn't need to be a Sunday-Saturday schedule, she said NO, as long it's within a 7 day period. So I went on Monday & at the end of my donation I asked the tech unhooking me to verify that I'd be getting the 2nd fee of $75. She stated NO as this was my 1st donation of the week. I told her what the tech before her said, & that I needed that money for my rent! She said *** quote verbatim, "That is not our problem". How rude, unprofessional & unemphatic. She went on to tell me she works in the back office (1 yr.) so she knows the ***************** I said someone should let the other tech know & she stated, "We don't have to tell her, because you misunderstood her". I take offense to that, because I am hearing impaired, so I always make sure I understand exactly what I hear by repeating back to to people what I heard. I am truly hurt by her indifference & the unfair business practices of this place.Review from AL A

The employees don't care about your time. You can spend 3 hours just to donate plasma. Dont go there unless you have a good promotion.Review from Chris C

I was going to sign up to donate plasma at Grifols on *************** in *******, **. I sat there for over 2 hours because there was only 1 nurse working at that time. I saw some disturbing occurrences while I was waiting. Staff was seen goofing of and not helping people who were there for their appointments. One person asked to speak with a manager and eventually left because they were left waiting for over an hour. I also saw what appeared to be a person in management yelling at a staff member. The hispanic workers were noted to be conversing in Spanish in front of the donors. I though you're supposed to use English when speaking around people who don't speak Spanish. I walked out and never returned.Review from Lisa R

I think you need to manage the staff vs donors. I have been donating for 6 years, and time management has gone to zero. I have a 2 o'clock appointment after doing the podium I show 16th in line for screening and it takes I takes an hour or more before I am screened. There is no reason a regular donor can not be processed quicker. They also take people with special blood and newbees before regular donors no matter if the just came in,and we have been there waiting.Review from Mario C

I was a donor at Grifols in Cincinnati, Ohio. I spoke with the center manager (Sam) in late August and asked what the new donor pay would be. He state $100 for the first two visits. And $125 the last two visits. When I registered Sept 1st I received the first two $100. But I was bruised and was out a week. When I called the center to inquiry what my pay out would be they stated $50 and $100 for the week. Grifols stated the new donor fee change from month to month. But every other week they have a bonus payout. This confuses callers and is what I could false advertisement. At a Grifols Center in neighboring Columbus, Ohio the donor pay is $125 x (4) visits. And it does not go up and down each month. CSL and Octapharma offer $100 x8 for new donors with bonuses in between. Consistently each month. The Grifols in Cincinnati, Ohio only offered me 2 new donor pay. And I was a previous donor in 2018 for almost a decade. It appears Grifols is not operating at a competitive level with competitive pay. I spoke with the Regional Manage name (Jeff) who stated each center offers different pay based on demographics. What sense does that make? They will tell you one thing to get you in. And when you come in it's another. I even asked the screener what my pay would be my next visit and she said $100 for my 3rd and 4th donation. I dont care what anyone says. Switching the new donor pay each month without notice is to consumers at large is not only unreliable. But not a Plasma Center donors can rely on. Octapharma built a new center in Cincinnati, Ohio and it appears their high pay out is running Grifols out of business. I texted the Regional Manager and told him I will never go back again. I left in 2018 to take a well deserved break. When I came back it was a glitch in the system. That I was permanently deferred for no reason. I had to harass Corporate to get to the bottom of this. I made Grifols a lot of money over the years and that was the thanks I got!Review from Michael B

i dont completely understand all the rules and regulations lufkin grifols operates under. ive been donating plasma at this particular location, 3 names changes but since Grifols took over ive seen less accountability, rude and ungrateful employees, horribly customer service, racist and discriminatory remarks made by both employees and management about customers. employees often complain openly about who and what time customers ******, referring to who come 1-2 hours within closing time fat, lazy, worthless people. Employees usually working the front desk and taking vitals are the RUDE, RACIST, DISCRIMINATORY and extremely OBNOIXOUS behaviors is often how you are greeted. medical and religious beliefs are NOT considered, this is a Dictatorship run facility, if you dont like it then dont donate attitude. making any formal complaints to a manager get ignored behind an **** customer service number which no one will respond to you, multiple attempts have been made and no replies to none of my 5 complaints have been responded to, much less resolved. seen and heard customers being "dr" for breaking "rules" which are not stated anywhere. grifols plays judge and jury in the decisions. Why not come on down to grifols(******, **) to be harassed, discriminated against, miscommunicated too, lied to, manipulated, and cheated. The management and front house employees at (******) location dont care about YOU or the PERSON needing plasma. if you dont like it, "get the **** out" ****** often tells her customers...
IM RATING GRIFOLS ****** 1 STAR BC IT WONT ALLOW ME TO RATE IT NOOOOOOO STARS
