I received a quote on 4/5/23. The email did not confirm the amount or list additional fees. My card was charged a holding fee on 4/7/23. I moved the same day and received the invoice which is when I filed the initial claim since the numbers had such a huge disconnect. Additionally the drivers pressured me to tip in cash and wouldnt leave until I paid in cash. I have reached out multiple times. Move Central offered $100 credit for the trouble. I asked to speak to an agent because the difference was closer to $400. I asked for the difference if $393 since it was not communicated, but forced to pay at the end of the transaction. They did not disclose that the time clocked would start and finish at the facility. Not my location. Which added two hours. Additionally, I was not told that there would be a truck, fuel and material fee. Everything was communicated that it was all encompassed in the quote. I have not received a response. I have email communication.

Moving date: 09/10/2024 Paid: $ ******** I hired Move Central Movers & Storage on 09/10/2024. The two movers arrived around 9:00 am. They were done by noon. After I arrived to my new place I noticed they had damaged a few items. The screen door was damaged, my tall closet was really damaged that it fell apart a few days later. I have pictures to prove it. They broke two fruit bowls and a plate. They also lost one box filled with clothes and cooking pans. I called to let them know. I was told to file a complaint. They said it would take a few more days because they were looking for the missing box that they lost. It took them over two months to tell me that they didn't find the box and they would refund me the money for the items that were damaged. I also had to give a 15% tip for the two movers. I would like that money back because they didn't do a good job. I feel that they are not giving me enough for everything that was lost in the box and everything that was damaged.

    1) the sales person at first told me that I could do truck and the cost would be about $4500. I would be sharing the truck, and the delivery date would be unknown but about 2 weeks later. I was fine with that.2) in subsequent conversations he told me that I needed the full truck which would cost about $8000, but that the delivery date would be known and would be right away. In fact, there would be one day in between loading date and delivery date to allow for the driving time (*********, ** to *********, **). They also told me the truck was then 100% for me and no one else's items would be used in my truck.3) on moving day it was VERY CLEAR that all of my things easily fit in a truck. So I feel like I was overcharged by the guy telling me I needed the full truck.4) I was told prior to moving day they would cover my carpeting and protect it. They brought NO coverings to protect my carpet, and the moving guys said they do not do that. I was shocked. I told the person I had been dealing with, and they said someone would call me back and they never did.5) On delivery day, I asked the guys how their drive was and I was told they went to an entirely different city and moved someone else's items in my ******** I feel like I was overcharged by them telling me I needed the whole truck, and then using that truck to go to another city (***********) to move other people's items. I have called multiple times to try to speak to someone about this and they will never call me back. I feel like this was very dishonest, and a way for them to charge me more.

Actual movers were great. However never saw an invoice at end of day, but told an amount to pay. Gave card to charge, then charged it and another account!! Different amounts going in and out of my accounts days after initial charges and services completed. Not sure if fraud or incompetence. Not returning calls.

In June 2023, I hired Move Central to store my belongings in four vaults, relying on their advertised claims of secure, 24/7 monitored storage. On February 19, 2024, after multiple rescheduled deliveries, one of the vaults was missing. Move Central later admitted they mistakenly delivered my belongings to the wrong customer in December 2023. This significant error went unaddressed for months, during which I continued to pay storage fees for items that were no longer in their possession. When I inquired about their 24/7 surveillance footage, they claimed it was unavailable due to a lack of retention, despite it being a key selling point of their service. Move Central has refused to refund the storage fees I paid for the months my items werent actually stored in their facility, even though they failed to provide the service I contracted ****** addition, several valuable items remain missing, including:Signed memorabilia Custom artwork A piano keyboard The value of these missing items is approximately $700. Move Central offered a settlement of just $50, which is a gross underestimation of my losses. They cited their $0.60 per pound valuation, but this does not account for their negligence in misdelivering my items and their failure to protect what I entrusted to them.I would also like a refund for the months that they were not actually storing my items ($100 per month for 3 months ($300) as well as reimbursement for my missing items ($1,000).Ive made repeated attempts to resolve this amicably, but Move Central has been dismissive. I hope the BBB can assist in holding them accountable and ensuring proper business practices. I am seeking a refund for storage fees during the time my items were not in their possession, as well as fair compensation for the items they lost.

Received an estimate for a whole house move from ************** to ********** **. Was told on the phone I needed to sign a credit card authorization to reserve the moving trucks and date and this was all they needed the authorization for. They charged my credit card after the fact with excess charges, never finished the job. They charged me for labor for loading and off loading the moving trucks due to being overweight and came back and dropped off the excess property at my previous residence and wanted an extra $4000.00 to move it when this was all supposed to be included in the moving estimate. Movers damaged some property in the move and while I watched them try and remove my spa from the truck I saw it was hitting the roll-up door on the moving truck. I told them to stop but they continued and damaged the spa. They charged us truck and labor fees to weigh the truck which took them over 2 hours to find out that they overloaded it then proceeded to unload at our previous residence without even letting us know. This company grossly underestimates the charges for moves only to surprise the customers with an abnormally high bill at the end of the job and then demand payment. The estimate was for a whole house move and they never finished the job. Would like a partial refund since we had to go through another company to finish the job because we did not want this company to do it because of the poor service and almost criminal negligence in all aspects of the job from the initial estimate, pack out and delivery.
