Threatened me 2nd time in front of workers to tip them or they won't finish job. Refused to close windows/lock doors before they left. Due to their fraudulent bait 'n switch tactics committed twice in one day upon me (a vulnerable Sr. Citizen who had a deadline of 9/7 (9/3-5 being a holiday wk. end) to remove the items from the property, the foreman's rude/unprofessional behavior showing lack of regard for my personal property or the historical property, I don't feel comfortable having this co. pack valuable items from my home, and fear what the adjusted increased bills will be by the time the items reach Las Vegas! I need your agency to step in, calculate the FAIR LEGAL PRICE I owe for the W. As I am relocating from *********************** I contacted Get-r-done moving to move my stuff. I explained the inventory in the call very clearly and they gave me an estimate of $2661.36 for a 300 cu. ft. For this I paid $798.41 as the deposit on 05-May-2022, as they rushed me that rates will increase because of summer. On the day of move (18-June-2022), when the foremen came, they again calculated the same items and asked for $2000 more and rejected to pay. They informed me that only when the difference is paid, they will pickup the items. I even agreed to pay $500 more, but they are so stubborn on paying $2000/-. It was a weekend and there was no one to talk about this issue. When I was so determined not to pay, the foremen talked like a racist and talked about my country people too. Finally when I said, I can't pay so much, they left my property. Later when I called their customer care and informed about this and asked to return my refund, they informed that its non-refundable and we won't return it. Even if its their mistake, they are so reluctant to return my deposit without any work being done. Please help me in this regard.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/08/09) */ Hello *****, The deposits are not refundable after 48 hours from booking. We have been informed that the inventory of yours was doubled from the estimated quote we had confirmed before coming. Therefore, as per the contract, every additional item gets prorated based on the contract rate. Best, ******* Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/08/11) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The inventory remained the same and I have not provided any extra items. I used ****** medium boxes for my packing which clearly displays that its 4.5 Cu.ft. But the foremen said they will consider it as 5. If you look at the estimate, they considered both Medium or Large boxes. When the formen came, I informed that I don't have suitcases, as ********* is offering 2 suitcase per person, so I will replace them with boxes. Then the foremen said he will consider 2 boxes instead of 1 suitcase. In the invoce there is Bed, but clearly asked ******* (invoiced person) that I need Sofa, not bed. Then he said both occupies the same space so it is fine. Its a 7 Seater sofa and each can be separated out. Each piece is 14.5 Cu. ft. Finally below is the calculation boxes 20*5 = 100 6 Suit cases 12*5 =60 Sofa 14.5 * 7 = 101.5 Total is 261.5 which is less than 300 Cu.ft. This is the inventory which I asked him to load in the truck. For which he calculated more space and asked $2000 more. I don't have any more inventory with me. I did not considered by Bed, TV & TV Stand. They are saying it is non-refundable, but I didn't cancel the service. I rejected to pay the extra money and the foremen left without loading. Its not my fault. They could have discussed with their company and called me. After this incident, no one even reached out to me. Simply saying that the money is refundanble doesn't make sense. Its not 10 or 20 dollars. We are talking about almost $800 dollars. Do they even know how hard it is to earn that money. In simple terms this is called as Cheating. I need my money back.Initial Complaint

The inventory that was picked up in ************* on 3-24-2022. The 41**************** totes and 17 additional totes were listed on the inventory sheet and several totes were missing from the inventory that was delivered. My son was on the recipient end in ******** and reported that only 1 driver/delivery person arrived and that in essence he unloaded the truck with the 1 individual as Get-R-Done Moving failed to provide sufficient crew for unloading. There was a ***************** bedroom set with heavy chests and marble tops as well as a grand wall mirror that under no circumstance could have been moved by one individual. I paid for a full service move and not to have my son unload the inventory due to the clear deficit to prepare for a safe, careful unloading of a heavy inventory. I immediately alerted the sales representative at Get-R-Moving to the missing inventory and although he claimed that this was a direct move, he also stated that he would check with the crew and the warehouse. There are 15 totes missing with a value of $2000. I requested that the missing totes be located and returned to me or otherwise demand compensation for the loss. There has been no response to the demand letter for compensation to Get-R-Done moving or request for a return of the missing items.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/07/27) */ Dear **************** you have purchased a combined option move. The whole inventory that was in the contract was delivered. Moreover, due to the high season the truck was not unloaded and was immediately shipped, so everything that was loaded in the truck was delivered. Consumer Response /* (3000, 10, 2022/07/28) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The delivery truck and delivery driver were not the same and one sole driver arrived at the location. My son not only assisted but was key in ensuring that the truck was unloaded. No one individual would have been able to move the heavy Queen bedroom set and grand mirror. The truck inventory was unloaded at a warehouse and truck and crew change. The claim for loss was assigned to *** a third party less than reputable claim company known for its stalling and prohibiting advancements of claims does. Get R Done moving is a company that subcontracts to unvetted individuals and is a front name or DBA for another named.Initial Complaint

First off, when I was quoted for the move it was for a one bedroom home and a small 5' x 9' storage unit. I paid my deposit of $962.28 to hold the delivery date. When the movers came to my loft, before packing anything, they immediately told me it was going to be double the amount of $******** that was originally agreed upon. I complained and they called their manager. The movers were Russian, and barely spoke any English so it was hard to negotiate their price gauging. They agreed to start pacing and they insisted on the 2nd deposit to pack and move the furniture which was $******** (which is half of the remaining balance of the original quote). They started packing. I started to notice that they were just showing things in to boxes without properly packing them - books, record collection, furniture , etc... I made several calls to their manager which fell of def ears. I never received a call back. When I received my items from Los Angeles to Atlanta, they refused to unload the truck until I paid them in cash or wire transfer, holding my items hostage. I once again called management and they told me they were going to tell the drivers (who only spoke Russian) to drive off unless I paid them. After I paid the ransom, They moved my items quickly off the truck not letting me unbox the items in time to see if anything was damaged. I did notice expensive artwork was damaged, furniture cracked, ripped and scratched, books and records bent and broken. I took pictures of everything including the back of their truck which clearly shows boxes crushed and toppled over. I hope to receive my missing boxes which include books, missing wires for electronic equipment and missing pillows. No one should ever have to go through this ever again. These people are taking advantage of people and holding their personal items ransom.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2022/06/24) */ Firstly, this customer lied about their inventory - which means we had to update their quote accordingly - thus, the increase in price. We did notice the customer become distraught and upset, so we then provided a full service packing for free (which was a $**** value!) to try to make the "blow" of the price increase lessened. The customer also insisted that they help pack even though our movers suggested otherwise. All in all, the customer was rude and racist towards our movers - who are employees of our company, regardless of their original birthplace. Additionally, because the customer continued to show their dissatisfaction with our service, we rushed their delivery all of the way across the country. Lastly, the customer's complaints regarding holding items "for ransom" do not make sense to us; as it clearly states in our policies that payment is expected upon delivery, this is in the contract that the customer had signed and agreed to. Since the move, we have referred the customer to our claims department.
