IBD Case XXXXXXXX. I signed up for an 8-week trial thinking it would end at the end of the trial and that would be the end. IBD automatically charged ****** at the end of the trial without any notification of an upcoming charge. Shady business practice to not notify someone and give them an opportunity to cancel. Refund immediately.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/02/25) */ ******* **** purchased an IBD Digital, 8 Week introductory subscription via investors.com on 11/17/2021 (invoice #*********). At the time of purchase, the subscriber was advised of and agreed to the terms of the purchase as specified in the Terms of Use (h****************************************business-daily-inc-terms-of-use/), and demonstrated by the attached images, which state the following. "Purchased Subscriptions are auto-renewed at the end of the Subscription term and will continue until canceled by either you or the Company. You may not receive renewal reminders prior to being charged for such renewals. Should you object to any terms and conditions of this Agreement or any subsequent modifications or become dissatisfied with a Service in any way, you agree that your sole recourse is to immediately: (1) discontinue use of the Service(s); (2) terminate your Subscription; and (3) notify the Company's Customer Success Department of your termination. To cancel a Subscription, you can either: (a) call the Company's Customer Success Department at 1************* in the United States, or ***************0 for international calls (hours of availability are available at askinvestorhelp.force.com/s/); or (b) login to your account at www.Investors.com and click "My IBD" to view your profile and then click on "View My Online Subscription" and click cancel. If you sign up for a trial or introductory offer to a Service (collectively, a "Trial"), your Trial will automatically convert into a continuous, regularly priced paid Subscription at the end of the Trial period unless a cancellation request is received prior to the end of the specified offer period as further set forth below. Such regular Subscriptions will auto-renew unless otherwise stated in the offer that you accepted. For details, refer to our AUTO-RENEWAL & CANCELLATION POLICY and our REFUND POLICY." Consumer Response /* (2000, 7, 2022/03/02) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) A courtesy email reminder one week before an upcoming charge should be standard policy to avoid situations such as these... It would go so far towards positive customer relations... I've discontinued my IBD subscription and will no longer use the platform going forward. Thank you.

Investor's business daily put an auto renew term inside their subscription trial and never send reminder. After I realized they renew my subscription and charged, which was only one day after the transaction, I asked for refund because I am not aware of the auto renew. They denied and closed my conversation immediately.

In April Of 2021, I Tried A Trial With IBD, And Within A Week I Canceled, A Guy Came Online While I Was Canceling And Asked Me Why Was I Cancelling, I Told Him It Wasn't What I Was Looking For, And It Was Too Expensive. So I Thought I Was Completely Out Way Before The Trial Was Over!!! This Morning I Veiwed My Credit Card Statement And Saw I've Been Charged And Double Charged For Not Just 1, But 2 Of Investors Business Daily's Services!!! I Clicked To Talk To Someone The Day I Canceled Because After 2-3 Attempts? Like, Nothing Happens!!! So I Wanted To Verify That I Was Out, The 2 Services Was Costing Me, 118.95 Per Month Since April, This Morning After Discovering That I Had Been SLAMMED Onto 2 Services? And I've Never Logged Back Into IBD's Website Since!!! I Believe, IBD Is Desperately Loosing And Not Serving As Many Customers As They'd Like, Because Most Investors Nowadays? Likes To Learn How To Find Their Own Stock Picks, And Not Pay Someone A Residual Payment For A 5% Stock Tip! Their Newspapers Just Like The Rest Of Newspapers Has Very Low Suscriptions! That's, My Beliefs!!! But, That Doesn't Give Them The Right, To Setup A Website That's Hard And Hard Again To Cancel, Then You Can't Be Sure Your Cancelled, Because They Will Not Send You A Cancellation E-mail, Nor Text! $118.90 Per Month For 9 Months? 8.75 Months Entirely No Logon To IBD, But I Was Still Paying A Bill To Them, And Didn't Get Not 1 Receipt, Email Receipt, Postal Mail Receipt, Never Nothing?? If I Had, I Would Have Caught It, Quickly! That's Why They Don't Send Receipts, They Don't Want You To Catch And Stop Their Money Stealing, 8-9 X's $118.90= $951.20!!! No Nicer Way Of Shining Up That Kind Of Slamming Thief, And You Actually Got Over A Grand, But Your Receptionist Assured Me There's Not One I Could Talk To About This At IBD, But Today? We Can Talk To As Many Folks As We Want To On The Social Media's Platforms!!! So Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TIK-Tok Here I Come, To Tell The World!!!!!

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/12/17) */ The customer subscribed, via investors.com, to free trials of SwingTrader and IBD Live on 4/12/2021 (Invoice #*********). As per the Terms of Use noted on the payment page, agreed to by the customer prior completing the order, and readily available via investors.com (https://www.investors.com/home/investors-business-daily-inc-terms-of-use/), the Trials automatically converted into continuous, regularly priced paid subscriptions at the end of the Trial period. The Terms of Use also state the following key provisions: "You may not receive renewal reminders prior to being charged for such renewals..." "Should you object to any terms and conditions of this Agreement or any subsequent modifications or become dissatisfied with a Service in any way, you agree that your sole recourse is to immediately: (1) discontinue use of the Service(s); (2) terminate your Subscription; and (3) notify the Company's Customer Success Department of your termination. Upon review of the subscriber's account over the past eight months, IBD is unable to locate any records indicating the subscriber taking any of the aforementioned cancellation actions. As requested by the customer on 12/2/2021, the subscription was cancelled with a courtesy refund for the most recent charge to the account. IBD stands behind, fully operates within, and readily provides access to the stated Terms of Use. The customer has been advised to contact his bank for any further assistance with his dispute.

Within the past few weeks I started finding the IBD Weekly newspaper on my driveway. I've never heard of them before let alone subscribed to it in any way. I'd like this to stop. I called IBD Weekly direct and was told that since I do not have a subscription with them, they cannot stop it. This makes no sense!! They said I should ask the delivery person to stop dropping it on my driveway. However they do not know who the delivery company nor how to contact them. In further questioning they said it may be part of the Chicago Tribune deliver but did not have any further information. I do not have any Chicago Tribune subscriptions.
