    They are a SCAM!! Collected my deposit then obviously sold my credit card info to someone else because I got fraud for $355. Then they said ****** Mouse was going to show up but never did. No one called. Nothing. I called them after the party started and they said ****** got in a car accident. Then they blocked my number

    I paid a total of $260 for Paw Patrol to perform at my daughters school for one hr- 2:30-3:30 on 10/29/2024. $175 was given to the performer in cash the day of, the remainder went to " Party characters for kids" Performer refused to perform in costume for full hour. He stated he only will do 30 min in costume and 30 min performing a magic show. I never agreed to the 30 minutes of a magic show, nor does the contract state that he would only be in costume for 30 minutes. I paid for him to perform in costume for 1 hr, therefore I am asking for half my money back, since he only performed for half the time. ($130)

    I hired a company to have a character for my childs 3 yr old birthday party. At the last minute, they raised the price by $80 and told me I had to pay the $225 remainder that was owed in cash on the day of the birthday party the person who arrived was a female for a male childrens character (Blippi) . She could not talk or do anything to interact with the kids because she was female playing the role of a character that is male. It was a complete waste of ************ and I believe this business is doing unethical practices with their customers. They have so many complaints from pissedconsumer.com

    I ordered The character ***** from paw patrol for my sons first birthday party pay the deposit that needed to be paid. The date was set for May 26 and I made these arrangements months ahead of time the week of the birthday party. I get a call telling me that the person who supposed to be the character decided to cancel that they were looking for a new replacement. I was OK with that but then when they found this so-called replacement, they wanted me to pay twice as much for this replacement when it was on them not me then turn around. I told them I would not be paying anymore money , they decided to tell me we could take $20 off. I refused them again. I will not pay anymore than what I agreed to pay in the original agreement. I will pay less but Im not paying more than to get. She then decided to hang up I called back, asked to speak with a supervisor they claim that theres no supervisors that you can speak to me the runaround give me the runaround multiple employees kept hanging up sent a cancellation never refunded my money so not only was the deposit but then I had to turn around and scramble and pay another $150 for another character from a different company so not only do I want my $75 back for the deposit but I also want the extra 150 that I was out of, but I paid another company because of them failing to do what they were supposed to do what they agreed upon

    Agreed to pay $100 up front & $200 in cash for 3 hours to character then 3 days before event was told that the charcter was traveling from ** so if I still wanted them I would have to shoulder an additional $140 for the person to travel. I did not have enough time with that short notice to rebook with someone else. They offered me alternative characters for $80 more but I was not interested in paying addional. I feel they were trying to trap me into paying higher fee with the last minute notice. Because there is an issue with their staffing they should not try to push that onto the customer in good faith after an agreement has been made especially last minute. Ehat is more important long term, making a quick immediate buck sacraficing your integrity or making a lasting impresssion on the custumer? Their loyalties are to making a quick buck.

    I can tell by the parade of one star reviews that I should have checked the reviews before booking. Characters looked cool. The website looked good. Pricey but what they included seemed worth a shot. Didn't check the reviews. I run events at a museum. We had a publicly promoted event that we hired them for on a Saturday. They called on Thursday saying one of the three characters could not make it and they are looking for a back up. Totally understand thanks for the communication. Friday at 4:30pm (the publicly promoted event is the following morning) I get a call saying all three characters are not out and not returning their calls so no one is showing up. They did find one backup that could come out, but I would have to pay them $200 IN GAS. I said why would I pay your employee to come out here to cover your three other employees blowing you off? No reconciliation or anything. Just asked for more money. It seems like a big business, but appearances aren't everything. Shockingly unprofessional. I can't to apologize to a line full of upsets moms all morning tomorrow.

    I visited partycharactersforkids.com back on 9/25/22. I sent a request to check availability for Spider-Man to come out to my home for my sons 5th birthday party. Someone contacted me back and told me that the day and time (10/2/22; 1:30pm-3pm) requested was in fact available. We confirmed everything and my total for the entertainment came to $270. I agreed and was told I had to pay a deposit of $91.80 to lock in the booking. I paid as agreed and received my email confirmation. The confirmation provided the details of the event along with the cost, the amount I paid and the amount remaining (******). The night before my sons party (10/01/22). I was contacted by the company and was told that due to the threat of bad weather all of the employees were calling out of work and there would be no one to show up for the party on the following day. He told me I could cancel or I could save the reservation for a later date. He said that reserving would be good because it would lock in the lower rate since prices were scheduled to increase soon. I agreed to keep the reservation and use at a later time.Fast forward 1 year later. My son is now turning 6 and I contact this company to fulfill my reservation. I called this company for 3 weeks straight (multiple times a week) trying to get things set up for my sons birthday party. Each time I was told that someone would give me a call back to confirm the details and set everything up but no one ever called. I found another company and set things up with no problem. I called party characters for kid back to cancel and ask for a refund. I was told that because it had been over a year they could not process a refund back to my card. I talked to the manager **** starting around 9/6/23 and he said that he would send in the refund request to be sent to my cashapp. After weeks of nothing happening I asked for a check(I think in early Nov). I am still calling him trying to get my refund. Its been over 3 months.

    I booked a hulk character based on the picture on their website. They assured me it would be a good looking hulk. They sent me a person with a costume totally opposite of their advertisement on the website and Instagram. The person was thin in statute. He had no resemblance of the character. We were humiliated and embarrassed. I called the company they have no remorse and disregards what they are doing. They lure costumers in with amazing photos and then send something totally different . This is false advertisement and something needs to be done to protect the consumers and the kids. I am hoping that this business is stopped and no other child has to experience this.

    Hello, Thank you for taking the time out to review this case. Before I begin, I just looked up this company on your website and saw that what happened with us is common behavior for this horrible company. I trust the BBB will do something about this and all the other unanswered complaints. These people are stealing from families. ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** So, we ordered a ********* (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) character to come to a 4 year old's birthday party in ********, **. 3 days before the party, the owner of Party Characters for Kids (***********************************) , ****, texted to say the person they originally booked to play the character cancelled. They ended up finding someone else but asked for $60 more for their transportation costs. This was their fault and should have been covered by them. The 4 year old already knew about ********* coming and was so excited, she even made pizzas for him (you will see in the video footage), so to cancel the character at that point would have been heart breaking for her. So we agreed to the fee. So on Sunday, April 2nd, 2023, The character showed up and was HORRIBLE. **** (he sat in a chair and did nothing for 40 minutes of the hour he was paid to be there), unenthusiastic, a little creepy and barely did anything unless directed by the woman that was with him or by us. (I have a copy of the email sent and photos of this attached here, I have a video but your website wouldn't let me attach it. The video is where you see the most evidence, so please email me and I can email you a copy. **********************)The mother of the 4 year old has a baby on the way thats due April 10th. They charged $264.80 for the entire thing. THERE'S MORE BUT THIS TEXT BLOCK CUT ME OFF SO I AM ATTACHING A DOCUMENT WITH ALL THE INFORMATION.

    I booked 2 characters in January 2023 for a party date 2/18/23. I received a call 4 days before the event claiming the initial characters had an emergency and they reached out to another company, but I would have to pay 70 dollars more. They said they could vouch for the other company. I agreed and the other company showed up 19 minutes late to the party and did not look anything like the characters that was on Party Character for Kids Website. I am now unable to reach the **** for a refund of my deposit. After reading the reviews and the complaints with BBB, this is usual behavior from this company.
