    I'm in section 8 and I have been in the ******************** 4 yrs now , the first 2 years I lived on 4 the floor and then request to b transferred to the first ..which was granted and had no issues..Now I requested to b transferred to the 2nd floor and my housing worker approved me and was told it was gonna b an easy transfer. Well the original manager never once said there was a deposit or gave me any hassle.. But halfway thru the transfer process a new manager was hired and again never once mentioned a deposit ..I made sure I kept in contact thru email , to see if I needed anything else for the transfer..He never nothing...So day b4 I'm suppose to get my keys and sign lease , the new manager says I need to pay deposit b4 I can move in. He is a very bad manager, don't communicate things well..he sent me wrong lease with diff amount of monthly rent... I had people that took time off work to come ******* move and manager messed up all my plans and cost me money I don't have...I'm ********** and I don't have a lot of money...I really need for higher management to contact me asap....Before I seek legal action...And I have all the proof to win my case..ty

    We dodged a bullet. We applied to a place and got approved. After getting approved, the lease contract was emailed and the details were totally different. The Winstar associate tried making certain deals via text message but would not put it in writing. Winstar is shady. Be cautious. They falsely advertise their properties. The Winstar associate would not give direct answers to questions and changed their answers as well. Proceed with caution when working with Winstar Properties.

    21st Century Slumlords. They did a halfway job of putting this apartment together. Walls are cheap, door frames, and doors poorly attached, bad lighting fixtures and more. I have made more maintenance requests for this building than anywhere else I have ever lived. The pest infestation is awful - which they blame on a random tenant. There is no way cockroaches would be this prolific throughout the facilities based on one dirty tenant. They take weeks to do simple repairs. They also have very loud tenants and do nothing about it. They will party, smoke weed in the common areas, and play loud music at any hour. Dogs run loose without leashes. I have reported it many times and nothing changes. They charge for utilities sneakily, adding an extra $100 to your rent without fulling reporting the usage - saying it is just an average based on the whole buildings use of water, trash, and sewage. I strongly recommend not coming to this place.

    Id put zero stars if I could but I needed on for at least the review.***** ******* is a property manager who I spoke to on the phone when he approved my application. I was told there was parking and there wasnt. He also canceled my lease before I signed it, but proceeded to tell me to make pay slips for the security deposit and first months rent- which I did without the knowledge that this company immediately gets that payment. He said I needed to give him the receipt so they can cash it in.I show up to the apartment at 9:30 as discussed the day prior so I can sign the lease, get the keys, and give him what I thought was the payment and he didnt pick up the phone. The location definitely violated health codes and its an absolute vile environment for living. I didnt even get to see the inside of the unit as ***** never showed up, but the outside of the building as well as the inside was filled with trash and smelt like f**** LITERALLY TRASH IN THE HALL WAYS and holes in the wall.With that being said, this company scammed me out of $2700 . I requested a refund since I didnt sign the lease, I was misled on how the payment works, and misled on how the property looked as well as parking.I will most definitely be starting a lawsuit if by Tuesday I dont hear back as this company commitment fraud and theft, but I doubt I will since ***** ******* blocked my number . I have a solid case due to records of communication through text, email, and screenshots as well as receipts for the money slips.

    I rent at ***** Hills Lofts in ***********, the property manager is *************************. This property is not managed at all, none of the tenant rules are enforced, repairs are not completed in a timely fashion, tenants are let to do whatever they want, whenever they want, because ***** would rather be "everybody's friend" and wants everybody to like him, instead of doing his job, being assertive when needed and enforcing rules/policies. Tenants smoke in this non smoking building, dogs are allowed to urinate & defecate at the back of the building in the courtyard, they are not being kept on a leash, so there is dog ********* all over the place, it stinks of pee and attracts flies. There is a rat infestation, transients in the building walking around the building for things to steal & looking through the trash, noise policy is not enforced either, all managers on site and at the corporate office are aware of all the issues but do absolutely nothing about them, they just stick their heads in the sand, and pretend everything is fine. Problems are brought to their attention daily, and they ignore them, nobody cares to do their job and make this building a safe place to live for their tenants. Some of the tenants there are criminals, have serious mental disorders, live on welfare and do not work, they are absolutely not careful to whom they rent those units, which proves they do not do thorough background checks on prospective tenants. The building is filthy, it does not get cleaned without having to ask every week, and it is not properly cleaned, it also needs remodeling, it was built in the 1920's, it is decrepit, but they do not care about that either. The outside courtyard is also disgusting, trash scattered all over the place, dog ************** pieces of furniture, this should be monitored on a daily basis, bit it is not. This is by far the worst experience I have has as a tenant and should be a hard pass for anyone thinking about doing business with this company.

    I moved here in November 2021.. place was quite and clean! It's a dumb for this outrageous price. They don't fix anything right at all! I have , and my neighbors have put numerous work orders. And you put in the date and time slot for them to fix your problem! The mains man does not show up in the time slot. He comes whenever and plus nothing gets fixed like my neighbor's ceilings falling apart. He's just got mildew water damage. Neighbor had window. Kitchen fell on out my water and my kitchen faucet is like no pressure. Front door don't shut a lot of problems and they don't fix nothing but they want that money for rent. I don't think this is fair. We should get what we paid for. Nice clean place and everything fixed and believable. This place is becoming unlivable! Us attendance are not happy they didn't pay the water bill. So now we're going to be cut off on March 14th 2023 from the ************************************. Two days later the manager sends a letter stating that on April 1st 2023 we have to pay for the water and trash!! Our contract is stated that they pay water and trash! We are not happy campers! Now we got to seek a lawyer!!! Overall this place is a joke. Places are falling apart. Water damage and walls with this place is horrible. You guys are going to get ***d. I'm willing to *** you like big time. Never move in these properties ever. I'm giving you heads up

    DO NOT RENT WITH THIS DISGUSTING PLACE. ********************* scammed me out of $2,000 by faslely advertising a "luxury apartment" in the middle of the hood. Online the pics were fake and the virtual tour was in another unit. When I seen the place in person it was a wreck. Damaged walls, damaged ceilings, broken dirty tub, graffiti carved in the walls, and etc. Forget trying to speak with a real manager on the phone they know why your calling and will never return a phone call. Trust this is now over I will get my security deposit back.

    Sorry for your frustration and apparent miscommunication here. Reviewing your file, it looks like you paid a non-refundable holding deposit of $500 and signed a lease to rent one of our units and then never moved in after. Despite your obligations to the lease contract, we let you out of your lease and only charged you the original $500 non-refundable holding deposit. A disposition letter and check was sent in the mail and maybe you did not receive it yet. We ask that you remove any false comments here as we tried our best to be reasonable in this circumstance. Someone from our office has been trying to reach out to you as well, and will try again.

    ****************************** in *********, ** is a Winstar property that I rented 2 apartments for some temporary employees working for me in *********, ** this year. It is nearly impossible to speak to a ************* are minimally responsive to the text message option provided to speak to a management member. The water was turned off over a dozen times in 6 months of ************ for "emergency repair." The phone# listed for questions about your bill takes you to a recording for maintenance request or learn about new property voicemail. No person to address questions with. I want to pay my final balance due but can't reach a person to speak with about a few questions and find out how to make the final payment without having to go to the property in person during the week when they are open - no available person on weekends, ever to speak with, and no communication available any time. Very frustrating & disappointing. Do not recommend!
