    Subject: Formal Complaint Mishandling of *** Case by American ************ To Whom It May Concern,I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the poor handling of my *** audit resolution by American ************ (ATS).After receiving audit findings from the *** for tax year 2022, I hired ATS in September 2024 and paid $2,000 in two installments (Sept 6 & 24) to assist with resolution. Since then, Ive been asked to complete multiple questionnaires with minimal progress or **************** original case manager, ***** *******-******, repeatedly failed to provide updates beyond stating that a Power of Attorney (POA) form had been faxed to the ***. Despite my follow-ups, she provided no evidence of progress or follow-through. After receiving two *** notices on March 24, 2025Notice CP79 (disallowing tax credits) and Notice CP22A (indicating a balance due of $19,887.01 due by April 14, 2025)I emailed her but got no response.Upon calling ATS, I was informed that a new case manager, ***** ******, had been assigned without prior notice. After further prompting, ***** contacted me and stated that my case is under review by a POA who will work with the *** agent, but no timeline or specific resolution steps have been provided. I also questioned why interest and penalties continue to accrue despite *** claiming to have initiated *** representation months ****** date, Ive received no formal proof of representation or meaningful updates, and I remain at risk of further financial penalties due to ATSs inaction.I request immediate:Written confirmation that a valid POA is filed with the ***;A clear resolution plan and timeline;Consideration for reimbursement of any penalties or interest resulting from ATS's delays.

    American ************ along with their sister company (American Tax Solutions) have totally scammed us. They provided no services, caused significant interest and penalties to accrue along with an unbelievable amount of stress on my wife and I. The attached document clearly exposes their tactics which mimic what we are seeing in other complaints to the BBB.

    I have consistently reached out to this company for several years to resolve my tax debt. I have had a half a dozen case managers that never last. I call and get the run around. I sent emails with no response. I am requesting a full refund of $2500. This company has changed their name and location to continue to ***** responsibility. My last contact was with a ******** *****. I have heard no movement surrounding my case in at least 6 months.

    I want file a claim against American tax services we paying them 4 ******** resolved our tax problems we pay them over ****** I also write maryland in general office they I call *** today all they ******* payment reduce ****** for ****************************************************************************************** general office I talk to *** today they they hadn't hear them July 24 they not got our taxes amout reduce the still.over them money.for back taxes all they have done take our money I 4 case manger and I talk to the lawyer ****** and ****** ****** this not fair we paying them ****** a month for the last 4 years I want to claim a against them I ask for our money back I'm totally dissatisfied and disappointed with there service they hadn't did want the said the wad going to.done reduce our taxes I talk to irs today our is the same the haven't reduce the money we own and it the money we and instrest

    I called the company and had a consultation and they advised they could help me. They set me up on a payment plan and started taking money out on a monthly basis. I sent them everything they needed and they did nothing. I paid over $1000.00 and wasted my time. I was finally able to hire another company that did help. I had to stop the auto draft and trying calling and just got hung up on.

    This company has been auto dialing me and telling me that they received my phone number from the *** due to me owing liens and taxes. They recommended that I call the *** to figure out why my number was on their list. After contacting him I did not know any taxes or liens and they stayed at that they got their numbers to dial from a third party. They have been auto dialing me consistently and will not leave me alone. I do not owe any taxes Yet they continue to auto dial me. I have made complaints to the *** about their auto dialing.

    I was charged $ ******* to retain American Tax Solutions to help me settle my *** debt.I was told the process would take 3-5 months. After that time passed, I was contacted again and was informed *** was not able to provide me with a satisfying resolution, That for an additional $3000.00 they would file a junction, and after my debt would be settled to zero dollars.I took out a loan from Lending USA for an additional $3000.00 which I am still making monthly payments. I was asked for more documentation and told to wait a few months for processing.I started calling ATS and no one would call me back. I have left multiple messages for ***** ******, then I was contacted by **** **** a compliance manager, after a few messages and conversations he also stopped answering. I started getting letters again from the *** about my debt and every time I call, no one is available, and I am instructed to leave a message. Is going on two years already and they took my money and never got me the settlement ***** ****** told me he would.     In July of 2020 I hired American Tax Solutions to resolve an *** issue with a business I closed in *******. The contract was paid in full on time. I have had absolutely nothing but problems with this company. From Losing my files sent, many different case managers. 2 years ago I received a call from American *** Solutions saying they needed another $3,900. I reminded them my contract states paid in full no further fees. But I was already $12,900 into the process. Moving forward to the last couple months they called needing the same files from my accountant that we have sent several times to several case managers. ********************* at American Tax solutions states they needed another $13,000 now to protect my property after resolution from the **** I was mad and was told they would take $3,900 off that price but I really needed them to protect me. So I went into a payment agreement making 1 payment but was not comfortable and stated that I wanted to get the first contract taken care of since it was not yet complete. I was told my case was to be suspended for non payment. I reminded ***** my original contract was payed in full. I have called and left messages and emails contacts I have with no return calls or emails from America Tax Solutions. I have been advised by the *** to contact your **** and the **** of professional responsibility. I have hired Federal tax Law this last month and they came to a the same conclusion as the ***, American Tax Solutions has done nothing with my case and Ive been frauded. Now Im another $10,600 into another attempt to resolve this issue. Please help me and please advise. I have contracts and emails between American tax and I . Thank you,************************* I tried to keep this simple to understand. There isnt enough room to explain this in detail.

    I have reviewed the account and what it seems to reflect is that the client contracted with the company in November of 2023 to complete additional services that their account required to complete their resolution.  The client both signed and made payment toward that new additional services contract.  Then after 1 payment they quit making payments.  We have attempted to remedy this multiple times.  We stand ready to fulfill our obligation.

    I am rejecting this response because: the response from American Tax Solutions is false. I was called because they claimed that I would need protection from the **** In the case they were to come after my personal property after the resolution. My original contract states all services were paid in full with no additional charges. I have contacted the *** and I have an attorney in ********** ready to *** for legal malpractice, I have lost hundreds of thousands of dollars due to the negligence of American tax Association for the additional 4 years they have done nothing as stated by the *** employee and the investigation done by federal tax law. I have a letter ready to go to the **** of professional responsibility, the attorney general and the California bar association. As you can imagine this negligence has destroyed my credit, my livelihood  and paint booths and equipment is now very used and damaged when it was all new when I made the agreement to sell. American tax solutions knew of everything involved in this and American tax solutions stole my funds after putting trust in them to complete the original contract. This last  additional $13,000 was discounted $3,900 from another additional charge they needed to complete state tax is***s from my accountant not closing the business in ******* when we moved to ********. The state taxes are the only thing that was taken care of by American Tax. I have all text messages and emails pertaining to this tax case from the start. I did decline the additional coverage after resolution because we are 4 years into this and I feel we need to complete the original contract. When I quote a customer I cant keep going back asking for thousands of dollars, after giving a quote. Especially an amount that is more than the original agreement, if American tax wants to take care of the original contract, refund the $650 investigation from Fegeral tax law and refund the $35 stop payment after I told them They are not authorized to take payment and the $500 and change for the 1st  payment on the last contract they collected.  I was told we are at resolution we are not at resolution, I was lied too..

    I started working with American tax services in October 2023. They were supposed to help me get an offering compromise on the debt that I have with the **** I initially paid them $1500 through my American Express card. I started working with ***************************.. he then got me in touch with ******************* from the company who is my case manager. They also got me in touch with ********************* who claims to be a tax attorney for the company or *******************. They said that my case requires more in-depth legal work and its going to cost close to $12,000. They told me that they can help me get a loan to pay for it through their sister company, American tax solutions. They then proceeded to get me in touch with equity sales finance for me to get a loan I have a loan with them for over $16,000 currently and I have been paying monthly payments, this loan was supposed to help pay the legal fees for the legal work that needed to be done on my case. No work has been done on my case so much so I got a notice from the *** that they are issuing a certification to the US state department to put a hold on my passport there are also lien and levy notices. I am about to lose everything that I have because these people have done no work on my case. I am now asking to have my money refunded so that I can hire a proper tax lawyer to help me get out of this mess.
