In July of 2020 I hired American Tax Solutions to resolve an *** issue with a business I closed in *******. The contract was paid in full on time. I have had absolutely nothing but problems with this company. From Losing my files sent, many different case managers. 2 years ago I received a call from American *** Solutions saying they needed another $3,900. I reminded them my contract states paid in full no further fees. But I was already $12,900 into the process. Moving forward to the last couple months they called needing the same files from my accountant that we have sent several times to several case managers. ********************* at American Tax solutions states they needed another $13,000 now to protect my property after resolution from the **** I was mad and was told they would take $3,900 off that price but I really needed them to protect me. So I went into a payment agreement making 1 payment but was not comfortable and stated that I wanted to get the first contract taken care of since it was not yet complete. I was told my case was to be suspended for non payment. I reminded ***** my original contract was payed in full. I have called and left messages and emails contacts I have with no return calls or emails from America Tax Solutions. I have been advised by the *** to contact your **** and the **** of professional responsibility. I have hired Federal tax Law this last month and they came to a the same conclusion as the ***, American Tax Solutions has done nothing with my case and Ive been frauded. Now Im another $10,600 into another attempt to resolve this issue. Please help me and please advise. I have contracts and emails between American tax and I . I have reviewed the account and what it seems to reflect is that the client contracted with the company in November of 2023 to complete additional services that their account required to complete their resolution. The client both signed and made payment toward that new additional services contract. Then after 1 payment they quit making payments. We have attempted to remedy this multiple times. I am rejecting this response because: the response from American Tax Solutions is false. I was called because they claimed that I would need protection from the **** In the case they were to come after my personal property after the resolution. My original contract states all services were paid in full with no additional charges. I have contacted the *** and I have an attorney in ********** ready to *** for legal malpractice, I have lost hundreds of thousands of dollars due to the negligence of American tax Association for the additional 4 years they have done nothing as stated by the *** employee and the investigation done by federal tax law. I have a letter ready to go to the **** of professional responsibility, the attorney general and the California bar association. As you can imagine this negligence has destroyed my credit, my livelihood and paint booths and equipment is now very used and damaged when it was all new when I made the agreement to sell. American tax solutions knew of everything involved in this and American tax solutions stole my funds after putting trust in them to complete the original contract. This last additional $13,000 was discounted $3,900 from another additional charge they needed to complete state tax is***s from my accountant not closing the business in ******* when we moved to ********. The state taxes are the only thing that was taken care of by American Tax. I have all text messages and emails pertaining to this tax case from the start. I did decline the additional coverage after resolution because we are 4 years into this and I feel we need to complete the original contract. When I quote a customer I cant keep going back asking for thousands of dollars, after giving a quote. Especially an amount that is more than the original agreement, if American tax wants to take care of the original contract, refund the $650 investigation from Fegeral tax law and refund the $35 stop payment after I told them They are not authorized to take payment and the $500 and change for the 1st payment on the last contract they collected. I was told we are at resolution we are not at resolution, I was lied too..

I started working with American tax services in October 2023. They were supposed to help me get an offering compromise on the debt that I have with the **** I initially paid them $1500 through my American Express card. I started working with ***************************.. he then got me in touch with ******************* from the company who is my case manager. They also got me in touch with ********************* who claims to be a tax attorney for the company or *******************. They said that my case requires more in-depth legal work and its going to cost close to $12,000. They told me that they can help me get a loan to pay for it through their sister company, American tax solutions. They then proceeded to get me in touch with equity sales finance for me to get a loan I have a loan with them for over $16,000 currently and I have been paying monthly payments, this loan was supposed to help pay the legal fees for the legal work that needed to be done on my case. No work has been done on my case so much so I got a notice from the *** that they are issuing a certification to the US state department to put a hold on my passport there are also lien and levy notices. I am about to lose everything that I have because these people have done no work on my case. I am now asking to have my money refunded so that I can hire a proper tax lawyer to help me get out of this mess.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: I have reached out to the business multiple times asking for a full refund given that no work has been done in my account and they refused to refund me. In addition to this, *** had multiple harassing phone calls from people who work there, borderline, threatening me.

I hired the services of *** back in 12/21, Signed an adobe agreement and was assigned Case Manager ******************. I sent all the tax year transcripts requested. Then ************* emailed me on 1/28/22 that she is no longer my CM and that ********************* is now my CM. i called, no response, then i was put in contact with ***********. We went back and forth in varios emails, March -November of 2023. then, there was no response. He Finally responded and apologized for the delay. Without explanation, i was then assigned another CM ***************************. We communicated and i sent all the required Tax returns, bank statements etc and she stated she would be contacting the *** for a resolution. i then received an email from a ***************** that they were still waiting on documents ? i emailed ***** back spoke w her and said i already sent them. She seemed confused. i tried calling back several times i finally got put in contact with yet another CM *************************. He stated i had to pay another fee of $3600 and sign another power of attorney agreement? Coincidently while on the phone with ****, i finally received a call back from ****** i told her i was on the phone with ****, she seemed confused and said " Your file was already sent to the ***." she seemed frustrated and then hung up. When i clicked back to **** he said " i just spoke with ***** "We will work it out". After no call back i called, emailed & finally spk w ** Rep ***** in December said he will forward this confusion to a higher up because the records show i am paid in full. I called again and was told i have a new CM *******************. Wow!! The ** rep said he is here, but on another line. i said i would hold. It went into VM i left a full message called again & sent an email. to this date of 2/6/23 no one has called back. So was my file even sent to the ***. When i called the *** in 2023 they said they didn't see anything submitted. After so many ***********Infromations between ******************** Unprofessional!! & Frustrating!!Business response

I hate that you have had that experience. I have reviewed your file and it seems that there was some turnover during Covid that *** have more directly impacted you. That is not the experience you should have with any company, much less ours. I would love to speak to you and see what we can do for resolution. In relation to the Companys response American Tax Solutions that i guess, their several mixi *** and delays i guess were due to covid. ( Covid was years ago)
In any event, There was a number to call and a name to ask for and it further stated i was free to call in a few days and if not i would receive a call. So I called again!!. How many times do i have to call. my Bill is paid in full. To this date, no one from ATS has contacted me via email or phone like they use too since my last several inquiries.

I paid ******* dollars to have my taxes done and did nothing for me. They took my money and will not call me back. Will not even email me back. They stole ******* dollars from me. No service was done for me. After they got money they ghosted me. Please help me!!!Business response

I believe this company is a scam. They were listed as ***************** group and now my "case manager" is from American Tax Solutions.Was promised tax debt to be resolved from IRS due to my situation (injured spouse)Paid $1800 to the company.Received a text from "*********************" ************** that : "YES, unfortunately this company is a scam. Please report ******************* to the BBB and authorities. He needs to go to jail and stop stealing from people like yourself. I was looking for help to settle my debt with IRS. I came across American ************ also goes by American Tax Solutions. I spoke with agent *****************, ************. He raised eligibility questions with me. I answered them. When done I asked "do you need anything more?" He said "no, you're all done", assuring me I'd qualify to clear my debt. My obligation was a payment schedule to ATS of $150/month for 4 years. **** said if I needed a pause in payments call him. I signed a contract and we were done.A few weeks later I got 3 IRS letters at once. I called him to ask what was going on. Never reached him. Phoned 6 times. Faxed 2 letters to **************. No response. Called ************, speaking to an operator. I doubt any message was sent. Never any response. Meanwhile I get a phone message from **************** saying I needed to fill out an ATS questionnaire. Ignored it at first then called back weeks later. Asked her didn't she speak with *****************? No. **** said I was done. ***** said I needed to fill the questionnaire and asked me to send 3 months of bank statements, circling the income portions. I reminded her **** said I didn't have anything else to do. I did comply, sending 3 months of bank statements via fax circling the income parts. Never got acknowledgement of receipt.. I received the questionnaire via regular mail. Upon review, I refused to fill it out. It asked for a copy of a Social Security Award letter. I mailed it to the address on the letterhead,, American ************ ********************** ******************************************************************************* via **** The address on the letterhead was no longer there. It was returned. I have it mailed to the source, *******************, American Tax Solutions, ***********************************************************************. Done December 4, 2023, expected to arrive December 6, 2023.I have received no response to my demand to send back the 2 months of payments, $150 each, paying for nothing.Business response

We're confused about this complaint. We have filed 6 years of taxes for this client and are waiting on her financial questionnaire to complete IRS Resolution. In Feb of 2020 I paid a $2000 retainer for their services to settle my Federal *** debt. By March of 2021 they called with a settlement of $2700, in which they pulled that amount from my account. After being told I had nothing else to do/provide, in the winter of 2022 I received an email from American Tax Solutions telling me they were dropping me, and in the summer of 2023, I received a letter from the *** stating there was no resolution and that ATS were no longer representing me. I feel like I was misrepresented and lied to with no resolution.Business response

We reached out to this client multiple times for items needed to continue with their case and ultimately had to close their case in early 2023 for non response. I was contacted by this company because I had problems with state taxes. They quoted me a price of $1000 which I paid. Months went by with no contact from them, until they started taking money from my bank account. No work was ever done and no contact was made by them. The only person I was able to reach was the receptionist and by now I realized it was a scam and asked for a refund. My request was ignored and to this day I have not heard from them although I have called the receptionist several times. beware!!!Business response

We hired ATS Tax Solutions and paid an initial $2100.00 to represent us and come to a resolution with the **** We have received maybe 3 phone calls from the case manager that has told us the same thing: we are working on your case. I've called multiple times and emailed multiple times with no response. This case was opened over a year ago and we are still receiving *** notices. I've requested a written document detailing what's been done on our behalf with the *** on this case. We get a call from yet another "representative" that states management will need to review this and give you call back. So the same thing happens again, no response and no resolution. At this point I've requested a full refund. They explained we can be refunded $750.00. I asked for a breakdown of what our $1300.00 paid for and again no response. We just want our money back so we can hire an actual tax company to assist us with resolving the *** debt.Business response
