We were/are being double charged for two services from Wix.com: 1) ****************** Premium ($384) and 2) *************** ($288). The company does not dispute that they are duplicate services, but their position is that we didn't notice it within the 14 day "trial" period, and therefore they do not have to "reimburse" us. Trial periods are to try new features and see if you like them and if you don't find value, cancel. That is not this situation. We aren't trying to back out of services, but we only have one website address and can only have one plan on the account. We accidentally, purchased a website maintenance upgrade and email service that sat "unapplied" to our account, and then an auto-purchase occured, and we didn't notice it. This all is possible because of the way their account software manages subscriptions, and has a separate step to "apply" a purchase to your website, it does not do this automatically. Also since you have to have a credit card on file at all times, which allows for a customer to unwittingly purchase the same service multiple times because the service is not active and visible on website, not realize that the sale went through, and then to purchase it again. That is what happened with us. I have been entering tikets, waiting for call backs, getting escalated/passed around, each time being told, sorry you didn't notice it soon enough, and since they basically make you prepay for a year or two, you have no recourse. Based upon the templatized responses I received, I expect that is a common scenario, which looks a lot like this is an intentional part of their business strategy, selling duplicate services that sit in a "purgatory" area not applied to customer websites, and then refuse to correct the issue.Initial Complaint

The Company Wix.com has unknowingly charged me for a reoccurring charge without my knowledge or permission. They charged me $466.56 on July 9th for an old business I no longer have or use. I was not currently using their services and was not informed of the charge. On July 11 I reached out to their customer support and created a ticket return request: ********** I was told to wait 45 days or so to hear back. I assumed I would be getting my refund as I have worked with many companies that gave me a re occurring charge and when asked to cancel or refund they have been happy to do it. All but this company. This company refuses to refund even after telling me no then I will just dispute with my bank and lose me as a customer for life. I reached back out to them August 22nd ****************************************************************** I have been left with no choice but to go to my bank and dispute the transaction. Request ********* I have been working on this issue since may of this year without resolution. I have requested escalation several times both by email and by phone and this has not occurred. No one has been able to resolve my issue. I have removed all *** products from your site. I am unable to remove the hemp declaration and need assistance. I am requesting a manual review to reactivate Wix Payments. I want my case escalated to a supervisor due to unresolved support attempts (reference your issue number *********). In your messages, I have been direct: I have removed all CBD products and need help removing the hemp declaration. Please escalate this to a supervisor for manual review and reactivation of Wix Payments. My previous issue number is *********."however i continue to receive canned responses by email and when calling the agents refuse to escalate and get me off the phone by promising an email will be sent to resolve the issue and the email is never sent, such as during my call to support on 8/21 which was a complete waste of my time.If you are unable to escalate and resolve this, please refund my subscription and allow me to migrate to another website store provider such as shopify.Initial Complaint

Wow - I see I am not alone in this complaint. What, exactly is the benefit of submitting a complaint to the BBB? Is it just to publicize complaints or is there any kind of consequence to the business? Please reply. *** is a scam that practices unethical business practices to cheat the customer out of their money. The so-called phone support number only refers people to the website to file a message online. The Chat option does not work. For the 2nd year in a row I have had charges to my credit card for an account that has been inactive. Despite numerous emails and following all the ridiculous steps to close an account, I received a message that "the account cannot be closed."So-called customer support sends messages faking concern but not one has resolved the issue. Wix makes it impossible to close an account. I need to dispute the charge with my credit card company (again) but this time I will request a new cc number to get Wix to stop charging me.Initial Complaint

Complaint Against: Wix.com Complaint Type: Billing/Collection Issues Funds Owed Complaint Details:Wix has owed me $499.76 since 2021. I have been in continuous contact with their payments team, provided proof through emails and screenshots, and followed their instructions. They insist I must restore a deleted website to receive payment, but that is impossible because the account was permanently deleted years ago.I have received repeated automated messages each month stating that my payout cannot be processed. When I attempt to resolve this, Wix gives me contradictory or nonviable instructions, amounting to a runaround that has lasted for years.This is a clear case of unjust enrichment, breach of contract, and unfair trade practices.Desired Outcome: Immediate release of my funds ($499.76) owed, along with confirmation in writing that this matter is resolved.Initial Complaint

We recently registered with Wix.com and paid for a one-year subscription (around one week ago). Just a few days later, our account was suspended without any explanation.We immediately opened a support ticket and even submitted sensitive personal documents (passport information) as requested. However, since then, we have received no communication or resolution from Wixs customer service.This situation is unacceptable not only did Wix take our payment without providing the service, but the suspension has also jeopardized our business operations. It feels like a scam, and their lack of transparency and accountability is extremely concerning.Desired Outcome We demand either:Immediate reinstatement of our account and services we paid for, OR A full refund for the subscription, along with a clear explanation of why our account was suspended.Wixs behavior has caused us real harm, and shame on them for treating paying customers this way.Initial Complaint

On July 31, 2025 I was charged $348 for a subscription renewal that doesn't start until August 14th 2025. I was therefore charged 15 days prior to the start of my 1 year subscription renewal. I had no intention on renewing and put a cancellation and refund request in immediately to wix.com on July 31st. They then denied my refund request and cancellation even though my subscription did not even start until 15 later in the future. Nowhere am I aware that wix.com is able to charge me 15 days early and not let you cancel 15 prior to the start of your subscription renewal. This company stole my money.Initial Complaint

I have not used this service in over two years and recently they have been continually trying to charge my credit card for a service I have not used. I made a sale by using a website I created through ***. The sale was a physical item and was mailed to the customer and was $260.00. This was completed as of Jan 2 2025.*** did not issue my payment despite months and many emails and calls of trying to fix the issue. On 7/6/2025, I was charged for $540 for a renewal of a premium website without authorization. I contacted the merchant several times to meet their requirements - I wasn't listed as the owner on the account and my prior account with them was deleted due to non-use.I requested a refund or a reduction in the charge from 3 years to 1 year. They refuseed saying that I had authorized the charge when they used my credit card to sign up several years before.
