My solar provider/installer Penguine Home Solutions **** went out of business in October 2023. Now I don't have a warranty. Penguine Home Solutions **** defrauded me by not honoring their contract warranty. I have leak issues with my roof caused by the installation. We went under contract with Penguin Home Solutions for home solar panels via someone name Nassir from Smart Move Solar in 03/2023. He took a $1000 deposit. He obtained city permit for the installation of the solar panels. Subsequently, he stated the contractor for the solar panels filed for bankruptcy and he could not return the $1000. He offered that he could try to find another contractor for the solar panels however I have lost faith in him due to this interaction. I would like a refund of the full $1000 as nothing was done for me.Initial Complaint

This company installed my solar panels and they were suppose to provide me with access to be able to monitor my panels. I have tried calling every number listed and they are all out of service. They originally took 10 months to install my panels after multiple calls they finally installed them. Now I am not able to monitor my panels because they are nowhere to be found to provide me with access. I just want them to reach out to me and provide me with the access. After all I paid a lot of money for my solar panels.Initial Complaint

Penguin Solar took a $1000 refundable deposit from us to install solar panels, said they could not do an install and has not returned our money or responded to any messages, mail or emails sent to them regarding this.Initial Complaint

I hired Penguin Home Solutions for my Solar needs. Over and over I had many issues from sales, to setup etc however they came out for the 6th or 7th time and wired my master bathroom incorrectly and pumped 220 ***** into my 110 watt outlet resulting in my hair dryer blowing ** in my hand, burning up and burning my hand as I blow dried my hair. They apologized and sent someone once again to fix the issue but were supposed to reimburse me for the hairdryer and never did. After many attempts and speaking to other contractor, owners and attorneys people need to know this company is terrible to work with, doesnt follow through on their promises and what they tell you never happens Horrible experienceInitial Complaint

Purchased Solar system for >$30k in Nov 2022, turned on in Jan 2023.The system "worked" for approx 3 months, to find out install of panels and connectors was all faulty (wrong parts used). Company appears to have no workers, no website, no working phone numbers, out of date instagram, etc. There is no way to get ahold of a rep from this company. I am now back to "paying" SCE for a total Solar system that was to make me >100% NON-Reliant on the grid.Customer Service/Support is NON-Existent, reaching out to SOLAR Reps/Resellers has not yielded any further results to get a hold of this company. System is now currently underproducing and going offline every 24 to 48 hours due to what appears to be faulty breaker. Whole system needs to be re-examined to determine WHY I am now paying SCE (my usage has not changed, not enough overcast days/rainy etc.) and "Penguin" should be reimbursing me. Very easy to see system issue if the actual usage data uploads were being tracked....But as this company no longer appears to exist, this isn't surprising.Initial Complaint

Penguin Home Solutions *** has filed bankruptcy on August 2023.The result of the of their terrible decision:1- I lost the 10 years roof leak guarantee. If any leakage happened, I have no one to call to fix the roof under the guarantee if the leakage caused by the solar racks.2- Penguin Home Solution did not inform or communicate about their bankruptcy. I have been left so stressed, and depressed. I have to follow with devices manufactures in case if any issues.I am demanding of $10,000 (Ten Thousand Dollars) as a refund to be able to by coverage for the roof and the solar equipment.
