      After months of trying to contact Sunset magazine and then filing the first complaint with BBB I finally received a call from Sunset Magazine who assured me they would be sending an issue of the magazine subscription that I ordered and paid for in January 2024. Weeks have passed and still no magazine. I cannot believe that Sunset Magazine engages in these fraudulent methods.

      Sunset magazine cashed my personal check for a one year subscription in January 2024. I have never received an issue. I have telephoned their customer service number at least 15 times over the past several months but no one ever picks up - I receive a pre-recorded message that no one is available to take my call. I have emailed their customer service at least five times, I only receive a return email that states they are working on my issue.

      My checking account was charged $29.00 for magazine subscription renewal on 12/4/23. I reached out to Sunset **************** on 12/5/23 requesting cancellation of the subscription and refund of $29.00 renewal.To date, I have not gotten a response or resolution to my request.12/5/23 - sent request - attached 12/5/23 responded to the automatic service email to please respond to my written request 1/4/24 responded to Sunset newsletter asking them to respond to my request 1/10/24 contact customer service # and was on hold for 15 minutes, no one came on the line. put my number on the call back list and have not received a return call.I am requesting cancellation of the magazine subscription and full refund of $29.00.Thank you for your help in resolving this matter. ******************** ************

      I was gifted a subscription to Sunset Magazine in October 2022. I did not receive any magazines. After multiple interactions with customer service I finally received an issue in ***** 2023 and June 2023. **************** then reset my calendar year for ***** 2023-2024 which I found fair. However since the June 2023 issue, I have not received one additional magazine, and I have emailed in through their online portal, and via regular email several times asking for the magazines I am owed and I do not get a response back!

      On 10/10/2023, I received an email from Sunset magazine informing me that my magazine subscription was slated to renew soon unless I cancel my subscription. I immediately clicked on the link they provided and canceled my subscription. That same day, 10/10/2023 at 1:42 pm I received an email from Sunset that confirmed cancellation of my subscription. Two months later, on 12/05/2023, I noticed a charge for $29.95 made by Sunset on my bank statement. I emailed their customer service on 12/05/2023 to tell them I'd been charged even though I had cancelled my subscription. I received an automatic email that they received my request (#*****) and it was being reviewed by their support staff. I waited weeks and never heard anything. I emailed again on 12/22/2023. Throughout this, I have made numerous attempts to call their customer service line, which only rings for a long time before hanging up. Because they have my payment information, I fear I will keep being charged every 6 months. This is unethical.

      I have been a long time subscriber to Sunset Magazine. Last year I did not get 2 issues and called the customer service # ************** located in ***************. I explained the situation and was connected to a supervisor-Joy. She explained that there was confusion in the transition of the magazine to the New Publisher and would extend my subscription for 2 extra issues-From Oct.'23 to Feb. '24. The magazine went from 12 issues to 6! I am now being constantly billed. **************** is very poor at this location-Long waiting times, agents who have no notes of previous conversations, phone cut-off with no call-back.... I think the magazine needs to improve its ***************** I will not subscribe again.

      I have had a print magazine subscription with Sunset magazine since 2012. Around 2019, I put it on hold due to moving out of country. Around the time CoViD hit I sought to resume delivery and spoke to someone in their customer service department to restart delivery. I have gotten nowhere to getting this company to resume delivery of my subscription which as of 2019 had and expiration date of 8/1/2028 which obviously would be extended for the four years I’ve received no magazine. I am not interested in their digital product at all. Please reach out to this company to honor my subscription. My account number, delivery address and expiration term is communicated in the attachment. Online I have found their current customer service number: 8**********7 for reference.

      In July 2022 I tried several times to cancel my Subset Magazine subscription online following the FAQ directions to no avail. The system could never find my account despite having the account number and name as appeared on my magazine. I wrote to customer service in July 29, 2022 at the email address found on their contact page for subscriptions: [email protected]. There was no phone number to call listed anywhere on their website. Within an hour I received a response from Customer Service Rep- ******* that my cancelation would be processed with the following Customer ID #: **********. I was instructed that I may receive one additional copy of the magazine as labels are processed in advance. I was charged for the magazine in August and September and October of 2022. On October 5th I replied to the same email thread telling them I was still being charged but not receiving the magazine. Customer Service Rep - ******** Replied that they didn’t have a record of my charge and to please fax proof to a fax number. On October 7, 2022 I faxed copies of my credit card statements with the charges on them. I reviewed no confirmation of the receipt of the fax. On October 27, 2022 I sent an email following up. I received no response. I was charged again in November. On November 8, 2022 I sent another follow-up asking to speak with someone. I received a response from Customer Service Rep. ****** De ***** stating the account had been canceled and I may receive an additional copy of the magazine (the same boiler plate language I had gotten in July). I was charged in December and January. On January 11, 2023 I wrote again asking to speak with someone and requested a refund for the 6 months of charges after my cancelation with no magazine delivered. On January 17, 2023 I received the following response from Customer Service Representative - ****** ******** “ Dear ******, Thank you for your email. We apologize for the inconvenience, we have cancelled your subscription and we have sent a refund check to your address please allow 6 to 8 business weeks for the check to be delivered to your address.” I was charged AGAIN on January 30, 2023 and have still it received a refund check.

      I ordered a digital subscription of Sunset Magazine in 2021. They automatically renewed the subscription on my credit card in 2022. I have tried to cancel my subscription but there is NO way to do it. I have the confirmation of the charge with my account # and email and it won’t recognize me when I try and log in. It says they don’t have an account. I have the digitial issues in the app so I know they have me in the system. There are no phone numbers or people to contact. It looks to be a service Sunset uses. I want to CANCEL and get my credit card out of the system. They will renew once again in 2023. They make it impossible to cancel. Here’s the information on my account. The email they sent said SUNSET here’s the address it came from: M*********************.com Here’s the email with account # and my name that they sent after automatic renewal. Welcome ***** ***** to Sunset! Thank you for your recent subscription order to Sunset magazine. We've received your payment. Your first issue will be in the mail shortly. Enjoy the one publication wholly devoted to celebrating all the things that make life great in the western United States. We're excited to have you with us. YOUR SUBSCRIPTION SUMMARY: Account Number: 0********* Number of Issues: 6 Subscriber Status: Active Price: $24.95 Billing Status: Paid Expiration Date: Mar 29 2023 Get Sunset recipes delivered to your in box with The Sunset Pantry. Sign up for all our newsletters here. There is just NO WAY to CANCEL. Can you help me. All links lead nowhere and it doesn’t recognize my last name STARK or my account #.
