We are trying to get four windows replaced that were damaged during the installation process. Green World Windows have made three appointments that they cancelled. These appointments were set up weeks in advance, and each time are cancelled on the same day. These people seem to be purposely avoiding the warrantee repairs.Business Response

My contractor bought slider doors from Green World in 08/22. A warranty was included. One Green World slider door was defective. Green World was notified immediately, well within the warranty. Green World refused to repair or replace its defective product. Many subsequent requests have been made asking Green World to remedy the defective product, with supporting evidence and witnesses to verify the defective product. Green World continues to refuse to honor its warranty.Due to serious concerns for the safety of children, I was compelled to pay $75. to fix the defective product. I have asked Green World to reimburse me.Green World is an irresponsible business that does not honor its warranty. Green World has numerous complaints filed against it. The complaint is full of misinformation On 06/21/2022 we recieved a request for quote for 2 sliding doors, 1 at 118x79 and 1 at 58x79 the sign confirmation that gives us the ok to produce the doors wasnt signed until 8/30 by ***** from dealer with a delivery date of 9/21/22. we recieved the request for defective glass 10/12/22 for the door of 118x79, we went to replace it 10/24/99 app tima was 8-12 am which was completed. On 6/20/23 almost a year later we recieved a service request for a screen for this door that wasnt locking per our warranty screens are not covered. when we went to inspect the technician found that there was and installation issue where the locking side jamb was bowed preventing screen from locking. ***** was notified of this then we couldnt do anything about that as we only manufacture and not install. In her statement shes sayng sliding door but its really a screen door now shes stating that is a concern for safety of children we as all window manufacturers have warning labels on screens that states they are not meant as safety devices and may not resists children from falling out they are not meant as security features. Since we coulnt help with her request she hired an installer to come and fix the issue that appeared almost a year after we sold her the doors. We are not responsible that she paid someone else to fixe that issue.Customer Answer

Date of the Transactions: 07/27/2023, 08/31/2023, & 09/07/2023 Amount paid to business: $21,937.50.Product: 42 new retrofit windows with black trim We purchased the windows from Greenworld in August/September 2023. When the windows were delivered there were many defects in the joints of the windows. More than half needed to be replaced. We contacted the company immediately. It was extremely difficult to communicate with their service team and only a particle of our request was processed. To avoid further delay in our renovation, Greenworlds service department told us to move forward with the installation. And that any issues after installation regarding the panels will be fixed and they provide lifetime warranties. We went on with the installation with our general contractor and then found many issues with the windows panels shaking when opening, panels wont stay up, windows difficult to lock, gaps in window trims, missing window screens and breakage in the window panels themselves. Brand new windows with issues of 20 years old windows. After months and months of continuous requests, sending photos and multiple service calls. Greenworlds new service manager **** came out to see the issues himself on 06/05/2024. After reviewing every window, he admits the windows quality is not up to industry standard. He promised 6 panel and 2 screen replacements, also fixing the trim gaps in 2 weeks of time. We followed up with the company after 2 and half weeks, they ignored all our calls and completely denied any previous communications. Greenworld (and ****) blamed all issues to the installer and refused to provide any additional service or replacement. We had 2 independent licensed professionals to exam the installation and confirm it was not the cause. This is an extremely unfair and unethical business practice. They sold us poor quality products and refused to honor their warranties. We seek repair and replacements, or refund. Please help.Business Response

Order was placed on 8/11/23 with delivery set for 8/24/23 of 39 windows, a service was requested on we went out to inspect /replace 39 X panels on 10/27/23 because it didnt meet homeowner expectations H/O only accepted 15. On 11/10/23 the rest of panels was replaced,on recieved service request on 1/2/24 inspected and after this we replaced more X panels on 2/27/24 and completed with a 2nd trip with more x panels replaced on 2/29/24. On 5/20/24 another service request was requested for more damaged and windows not operating properly. also asking for 3 screens which ***** claimed she never recieved them and they are not covered under warranty especially after 9 months. on 5/28/24 went to adjust the windows which Homeowner wasnt happy and had more damaged windows that she requested for us to replace one more time I schedule myself to inspect and meet with homeowner, at this time after my inspection i find out all windows were install incorrectly being not level and bows outward causing windows X panels to constantly getting damaged and not operating properly. After the inspection found out she had 3 more sashes broken due to poor install I told her i would take measurements but never promised her we were ordering anything. at this time after replacing all X panels 3 times and finding out panels kept getting damaged due to poor installation these last 4 would be chargeable items. based on Greenworld WarrantyCustomer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
The business response is inaccurate and irresponsible. Service manager **** is a new hire to the business and is not familiar with the history of the order. All prior service issues were managed by ***** and *************************. There were way more service calls and correspondence requesting repair and replacement than he showed. We reported issues with the quality of the window before installation and were promised repair/replacement by the warranty. During the past 10 months of multiple service visits and correspondence, no one from Greenworld Windows ever mentioned any issues related to installation. Most of the quality issues were blamed on the color of the windows. As consumers we do not understand why the color would impact the window quality. All we wanted was to have windows that are operatable. It was very difficult to get a hold of anyone at Greenworld. They rarely answer their phones and hardly answer any emails.
On ***** 6/5/2024 visit he only visually inspected the windows;he didnt perform any physical repair work. The home was unoccupied at the time, and the windows have never been used. With the trims wrapping all the windows, how can he tell it wasnt correctly installed without even touching the windows? Evermore,after his visit and comments, the homeowner had the window trims removed and inspected by two independent licensed contractors. Both said the installation might not be perfect, however it shouldnt impact the functionality of the windows causing breakage and other issues. Confirming the issues were experiencing is caused by the quality of the window maker. **** blames the installer for all the issues because his company is trying to not take responsibility for their product. I have been with Greenworld windows since 2014 both as service Manager as well as a consultant with Greenworld My experience is over 25 years of working with windows. I know the history of ***** complaint since working with the company for such long time as im the one that oversaw the manufacturing of the 2nd set and 3rd set of panels that were sent to home. as of me visiting the home was until ***** requested me to go take a look and as for you to call me a lier that i didnt touch the windows. ***** must of forgotten that the window in her primary bedroom in front of the entrance to the left I fix and pop back in place after it came off track due to installation issues. This is the same window were I notice that everything was installed incorrectly because of my experience i started to investigate why it came off the track so i can properly repair it. With my experience i took measurements of how bad windows were installed some of them up to 5/8 in bow in center causing X panel to have way too much play and not operate properly. Once I installed the panel back on track then ***** took me to her sons room to try to get that window working like I did in primary bedroom this is when she told me she was missing a screen in same room on a balcony window and she asked me not to charge her for it. While looking at this window ***** pointed out trim that she thought was part of the window, i pointed out to her that the trim was to be used solely for interior of the window and that her installer had used it on outside to cover up the sloppy installation. After inspecting the outside I pointed to ***** that there was 2 windows on the side of house next to each other and were installed in two different manners. I also removed and attempted to get the kitchen window working I even had to step aside with the window pane in my hand when ***** and a contractor were looking at bottom of kitchen cabinets and both were laying on the floor looking at bottom of cabinets. This window also had damaged screen with some paint on it that ***** also asked to get order but did not want to pay for it. So i really dont know why im being called a lier and why ***** is saying that I did not even touch her windows.Initial Complaint

Green world windows has some of the worst customer service Ive ever experienced as a homeowner. I started the process of getting my windows assessed and replaced under warranty in October 2023 since then I have been no showed once and canceled on twice. I understand that things happen, and I totally respect that, however, it is the complete lack of respect of my time and inability to reschedule in a timely manner that does not include me calling anyone and everyone in their directories until I get a hold of somebody that is extremely frustrating. ****, their customer service manager does not answer her phone. Her voicemail is always full and it is nearly impossible to get a hold of her. I dont know if they dont value my time because I am getting windows replaced under warranty or what, but its highly unacceptable, I have called or emailed nearly every single day for the past week and a half and have yet to talk to anyone except an operator. I dont know what else to do. At this point ** hoping that somehow this complaint warrants more attention than a customer phone call clearly does.Business Response

I would rate this company with zero stars if I could. Here's a breakdown of their abysmal customer service:- On 9/26/23, the company came to our house to measure the windows.- On 9/29/23, they called to reschedule due to using the wrong glass, setting a new date for 10/7/23.- On 10/6/23, they confirmed the installation for the next day.- However, on 10/7/23, they were a complete no-show, and our calls to them went unanswered.- It wasn't until 10/10/23 that a ******** Service Supervisor finally responded, offering to reschedule for 10/20, with no clear explanation or urgency.- On 10/19/23, the Supervisor claimed the glass was confirmed for the next day.- On 10/20/23, a representative showed up, only with two out of the five windows and was unaware of the missing windows. They also lacked the equipment to install one window from the outside. Despite our calls, the company didn't respond.This company has been utterly incompetent and has shown no urgency or capability to fulfill their core business task for nearly a month. We needed these windows urgently due to living in a noisy area, making it impossible to sleep in our bedroom.Business Response

This has been the same response since our first appointment, scheduled 9/29/23. How are you guaranteeing this service actually gets done? After speaking with ***** and confirming a 11/11/23 appt (43 days after the first missed appt) we asked who is the point of contact for the day of service. ***** said the *** is: ********, production manager and can be reached at ext 118.I called Cytlalli over 2 days ago to confirm she is the correct person and speak more about our window installation, but I got no returned phone call.
How am I supposed to trust this service will actually get done, when your people are too inconsiderate to even return a phone call?
I need a contact who is reliable that I can speak to immediately to ensure they are going to be available on the day of service of 11/11 to make sure things actually get done that same day.

We recently moved into a new home that had all windows replaced by Green World. Five of the windows dont function / close properly. I called the company and spoke to ***** who informed me our windows were still under warranty and arranged for a technician to come to our home to inspect. I walked the tech around and demonstrated all windows in question. He took photos and said I would hear from his boss in several days. A week later I received a voicemail from ***** saying the windows werent covered because they were too tall or too wide. This is perplexing because they are manufactured windows installed by Green World. The windows are branded Green World and have tags with order date (purchased by the builder of our home). I own a KB Home residence in ***** Vista, CA. Green World has an express warranty to cover vinyl and glass for 10 years: ****************(SFD)%20-%20Limited%20Warranty.pdf Green World has failed to fulfill a warranty claim that I filed fall 2022 for warped vinyl windows and defective glass. I have called the company over 30 times at ###-###-#### over a period 8 months and spoke to both **** (ext ***) and ***** (ext ***) to resolve this issue. I started emailing **** and Connie on 6/20/23 because it was too hard to get a representative on the phone. They have set up 5 appointments to replace the defective windows: 3/18/23, 4/12/23, 4/19/23, 5/6/23, 7/10/23 and have failed to show up each time with no advance notice that the installation team would not be coming. Each time, they have given me the explanation that the "parts are not available," and have offered to wave labor fees for the replacement, but it is very confusing and frustrating that it has taken months to procure parts. Furthermore, there is no proactive follow-up from the Green World team when they miss an appointment. Literally no effort to reschedule or resolve the problem unless they are being hounded by phone and email. I am not sure what is causing the problems at Green World, but I have given them more than a reasonable chance to fulfill the warranty claim and am now very concerned that this may be a breach of warranty situation.Business Response

The greenworld windows came with a lifetime warranty. ***** / Greenworld delayed response many times. Last reply said the lifetime warranty expired. My greenworld windows have streaks that will not go away. The streaks are clearly visible and are between the dual pane windows. I would expect greenworld to honor their warranty that is used to sell their products.Business Response

I contacted Greenworld Windows for a warranty-related issue. Upon contact, I sent copies of defective glass covered under warranty and address of property. The lady at Greenworld (*****) issued a service ticket for a vendor in *** ***** (where the window are) to come measure and replace glass. On April 5, I emailed Greenworld again wondering what was happening, as no one had contacted me. On April 14, someone from ****** and Sons, in San Diego, came out to measure the damaged glass. I asked when they thought this glass would be replaced and he (**** from ******) said to contact office. Since then I have called Greenworld and ****** and emailed both plus sent text messages, numerous times. To date, June 15, three months later, I have no response from either Greenworld or ****** and no resolution to this warranty issue filed three months ago. I contacted Greenworld again on June 13 requesting some sort of action. Lady (*****) said she would look into it and get back to me. She has not - no surprise. Greenworld is not honoring their warranty. They tossed the ball to an even less professional company here in San Diego. I would like to request immediate resolution to this problem - damaged glass panes replaced. I have attached copies of the emails between me and Greenworld and between me and ****** (******) plus copy of service ticket and warranty. Not sure what else to do to get this done - or at least to get someone from either company to respond with a definite timetable as to when I can expect this issue resolved.Business Response

Greenworld (*****) contacted me today and had someone come by to measure glass (again). The replacement of damaged glass is set to happen in roughly two weeks.
