Hired Rotor Hero to perform a standard kitchen sink unclogging ($77) on 3/14/25 late afternoon, plumber stated line cleared and recommended that hydro jetting ($1,844) on the next day 3/15/25 was going to better resolve the buildup throughout the pipe for good, as I'm experiencing clogging every 3-6 months or so, and agreed thinking it's going to end the pipe clog. On the evening of 3/14/25 started to use the kitchen sink after it was still clogged and informed the same plumber on 3/15/24 about it still being clogged, appears he's aware and started to hydro jetting and causing more clog and stated I would need descaling ($1,250) then will redo the hydro jetting same time on following day 3/16/25, when I refused to pay the descaling they agree to cover it with the hydro jetting service. Descaling was done, and the line cleared but no additional hydro jetting was done and the plumber wanted to charge for the hydro jetting, I've asked the plumber to have the company reach out to me for payment as hydrojetting was not done properly and I shouldn't be charged. On the night of 3/16/25, we realized that there was a pipe leak under the kitchen sink and it was not re-connected correctly, at this point it's clear at this point that this company is not legit so instead of requesting Roter Hero to send a plumber, I've asked my contractor to repair the leak. On 3/17/25 around noon, I spoke to someone named ***** stating he was the field supervisor who still wanted to charge me for the hydro jetting service which didn't work at all, I requested ***** contact my legal counsel for payment. This company is a scam, I wish I'd check out their BBB F record prior to hiring them.

A plumber (*****) from Rooter Hero came out to diagnose a clogged sink. While he was here, he asked to check the pipes under the house. After inspection, he stated the pipes needed to be replaced. He said he had arrived just in time because they were ready to burst and I would have a flood under my home. He prepared a contract to replace the pipes for $16,319.26. I gave him $1000.00 deposit which has been refunded. He instilled a sense of urgency in me and said his company could begin repair the next day. I signed the contract. He did some prep work and left saying he would return the next day. I began to feel a sense of hesitancy. I have never had work done without a second opinion. So I reached out to him that same day and asked him to put the project on hold. I called another plumber, 'In Demand'. When they did an inspection, they said there was nothing wrong except the pipes had been cut by the original plumber. He said he could do the repair work for $3,250. He completed work the next day. I called ***** and canceled the contract. He denied that he had deceived me and the reason he cut the pipes was because the contract had been signed. The contract states I can cancel within three days which is what I did that day. I told him I needed to speak to his boss to let him know what was happening. That did not happen so I called the office and was told I would hear from someone. A representative (****) called and I explained what happened. He asked me if I had that information in writing from the plumber who fixed my pipes. I told him yes and sent that information. Since then, no one is returning my numerous calls. I have spoken to the service representative in the office ********** and she continues to pass on my information, but nothing happens. I have documentation if necessary. I believe I should be compensated for the work that 'In Demand' plumber did to repair the damage to my home. I am hoping that you can help me resolve this situation.

Rooter Hero took on the job of fixing our main water line hook-up to the city main line. ************* contacted us in regards to large water use and upon inspection, the line was broken. we accepted Rooter Hero's bid to repair our main water line. Upon completion of repair, ************* sent an inspector to see if work was up to code. The main line hook-up to street was up to code but the copper pipes and valve on the hook-up to our house was not "grounded". The inspector explained to both myself and Rooter Hero that the copper pipes needed to be grounded to the main house panel outside on side off garage.Rooter Hero informed me that to bring it up to city code, they would charge me an additional $2600. I stated that , as the contractor, they were supposed to do repair work that followed city and state building code. The person I was talking to, (****), contacted his boss **** *******, informing him I was refusing to pay the extra amount of money. **** came back to me and said **** dropped the price to $2100. I said that they should have replaced the copper pipes and grounded them according to building code. I also informed him his crew caused damage to our lawn irrigation-lighting fixtures and I would like credit repair that damage. I told **** that I was not going to pay the final $1951.26 until these issues were resolved. **** returned and said ****** last offer was their final offer. I told him I would call **** with repair estimates from an certified electrician and our yard maintenance company in order to give him the cost of both items. I contacted Rooter Hero on 2/18/25 & 2/24/25, left messages with representative to have **** call me regarding my repair estimates of $1529.50 ( grounding) and $297 for lawn repairs. My calls were not returned. Rooter Hero went ahead and charged my credit card $1951.69 without discussing issues brought up regarding their work.I would like a refund of $1826.50

I contacted Rooter Hero Plumbing asking for a quote on what a tankless water heater that provided instant hot water would cost. A representative was sent out and quoted a cost of $5,704. 12. I had also gotten quotes from two other companies and chose Rooter Hero because they were $100 less than the other two. The tankless water heater was installed on October 26, 2024. An 80 gallon, gas water heater was removed in order to install the tankless water heater. At the time the quote was given, I was not informed that the tankless water heater was electric and that an electrical outlet needed to be installed, which they could not do. I had to hire someone to install an electrical outlet. It took twelve hours to install the tankless water heater and that is when I discovered that this tankless water heater does not provide instant hot water. Over several weeks, the installer came out to determine why I wasn't getting instant hot water but couldn't figure out why. He finally brought out his supervisor, who had a facetime with a Navien tech, manufacturer of the water heater. He said that it would take approximately one minute to get hot water. That is not what I wanted. I was very specific in telling Rooter Hero that wanted instant hot water from the very beginning. The supervisor basically said that I was out of luck. I had already paid off the bank card bill for the water heater but I filed a dispute with them. I am waiting the outcome of the dispute. I also contacted the main office in ********** for Rooter Hero Plumbing and was told that the water heater was functioning properly and the best they could do is remove the water heater and give me a partial refund, which would leave me without a water heater since they couldn't put my old one back. Rooter Hero Plumbing lied to me, plain and simple. I know two other people who have Navien tankless, instant hot water heaters, which provide instant hot water. Unless I want to take a monetary loss, I'm stuck.

Like others here, I was deceived. They used their go to money make on me, claiming they can't unclog and recommend a much much more expensive alternative. I did a big project with them on 2023 with an honest technician to reline my sewer line. I asked for the exact same technician but he is no longer with the ********** a different technician came to my house to fix a backup kitchen drain on 12/24/2024. Claiming he can't unclog the drain with a small handheld snake. I asked if he has a longer snake, he said it is long enough.Recommend a $1625.00 descaling service to unclog a kitchen drain, I asked what about hydrojet. I was told it would cost the same. It appears I was deceived because it took 5 minute to get the job done when the descaling guy came. I have yet to receive a receipt for the service. The service included a camera inspection which did not happen. I contacted the technician twice and he still didn't come. At this point, I've been deceived and scammed. I've contacted the company 1 week ago via email though the company website and BBB. I gave them one week to reply and they did not. I have filed a credit card dispute because I did not receive a receipt, a camera inspection and an outrageous amount to unclog a kitchen sink. According to ****** The cost to ****** a kitchen sink in ***********, ********** can range from $100 to $600. Stop this unethical business practice.

Rooter heroes responded to my request to clean a clogged drain and hydrojet on 1/10/25. Within 30 minutes a salesman arrived in addition to the technician, and instead of cleaning the drain, they spent an hour showing me that I needed to line all of my sewer pipes with them for a cost of *****k. When I asked them to jet the line, they quoted $1865 and said the work could only be done with a trailer jet, but every other plumber I've used brings smaller jets to do the work. The salesman liked that they were not allowed to use other jets, but then when I woulnd't pay, he pulled out a smaller jet and said that he could do it for $1200, but he would not bill it as jetting. He jetted the line but did not flush it out with water to clean the debris and spend another hour lying that my pipes were broken and needed to be lined. Multiple plumbers have come to give estimates and confirmed that this person was lying. When I called the ops manager to complain, he defended the salesman and got nasty with me.

Today we employed a company called Rooter Hero to come to our house because there was a strong smell in front that we thought was sewer gas. We thought that perhaps the line had to be cleared out. The gentleman that came out, looked over everything and told us that the problem was a gas leak, and that the gas was leaking under the front lawn and seeping up to the soil. He said that we had to replace all the lines and dig a trench through the garden and probably take up the sidewalk as well. He said that the cost of this would be $25,000, although our house is quite a small house. He drew up the contract and was pressuring my husband to sign it. Because he said it was a gas leak we thought that we better call PG&E and they came while he was still there, trying to get us to sign. PG&E said that there was a gas leak, but it was out in the street, was not big enough to cause danger, and that they would fix it for free. They checked our property carefully and said that there were no gas leaks whatsoever on our property and that none of our pipes needed to be changed or repaired at all. Luckily, we didn't sign anything. This company needs to be punished or shut down. I'm sure there are many other people, especially older people as we are, that they have tricked into paying large amounts of money for work nor needed. I hope you can help.

Sewer issue on November 3rd was told we needed to replace sewer clean out at house $5,000. Then they said they would run a camera down the sewer line and take pictures and videos. We would receive these pictures and videos. They found other issues at the cost of $18,000. Negotiated to $16,000 then they broke our water main did repair at no cost to us. Then they touched sewer line that belongs to the county. So they needed to reduce the price down to $12,001. Was told they had a paver person to put pavers back in. They finished work on November 7th and wanted payment person doing pavers did them wrong was to come back on November 9th. Never came by never received pictures or videos called 5 times. Finally we hired a professional pavers person for proper repair at $300. We would like company to reimburse us the $300 and have no further contact with them

On March 22, 2024, I reached out to Rooter Hero Plumbing hoping to get a drain unclogged. After talking to an employee about the issue, he asked to check under the house to check the condition of the pipes. Upon inspection, he noticed moisture and suggested that I get a full pipe replacement and that he'd call a supervisor to the site. I agreed that there was possibly a leak because the ground under the house was wet but I was not sure of how severe the problem was. The job was priced at $20,837.The next day a crew came in started on the project for the next 3 days, March *****. On the final day, a city inspector came to verify that the job was done correctly and issue a permit with city of **********. I was at work at the time but had family members at the house at the time. I was not provided with a ********** months later, I noticed a strange smell from under the house and realized that there is a leak again. The pipe replacement has a 10yr warranty. On October 26, 2024 a crew was suppose to come and correct the issue. Two guys showed up around noon but left saying they had to work at another site instead. They sent a single worker(*****) who showed up around 1pm and spent about 5 hours under the house but left without finishing the job. He told his boss he did his tasks and was done for the day but told us that he'd be right back and that he had to buy something. Two days later, the work resumed and ended late Oct.30th. During those days, the crew showed up late in the day, siting that they were at other sites etc. In the meantime, I was curious about the permit. When I looked it up, I saw that the valuation of the job was priced at $4,000. This makes me question whether the $20,837 price tag was necessary. What it says on the permit versus what the cost of project that I paid doesn't add up. For $20,837 I should not have had any mistakes with the pipe replacement. Why is there such a huge difference in price between my cost and was shown on the permit?
