I bough an electric scooter from Zoom. It took a very long time to receive my scooter. Within the first year of owning the scooter the starter went out and it took the company over a month to get the replacement parts. Just over a year into owning my scooter it died and would not start or hold a charge. I contacted the company and they told me that there is only a one year warranty on the battery and I would need to buy a new one from them for $400.00.Initial Complaint

I have purchased two electric scooters from Zoom Scooters (separate purchases). Order #***** was purchased 10/01/2022. Order #***** was purchased 12/10/2022.Zoom Scooters did not send a VIN plate or the paperwork that is required by the State of Florida to register the scooters to be able to drive them on Florida streets. I have been requesting this documentation from Zoom Scooters for more than a year now -- with the most recent requests being the last two weeks.I have saved all email correspondence from this company -- where they have told me repeated lies (they have said they mailed them, they have said they "will" mail them, etc. I have no faith that this company actually has the legal documents needed to register the scooters. The latest email I received from them states they are "waiting on special paper" to print the documents on. My response to that email was that I expect them to email me the soft copies immediately -- they can follow up with mailing the documents on their "special paper". There has been no further contact from the company.I have let them know that if I did not receive the documents by Monday, August 19, 2024, I would be filing an official complaint with the Better Business Bureau.I have been given the run around by this company and cannot register these scooters without the legal documentation that Zoom Scooters is withholding from me. I have over $4,200 of electric scooters that I cannot legally ride other than on the sidewalks of my community.Please contact Zoom Scooters and demand that they provide the legal documents necessary to register these vehicles with the State of Florida.Thank you,***************************Initial Complaint

I ordered the scooter in March of 2022. It was supposed to come with a cover, and I paid an additional $99 for a rear luggage rack. 5/27/23 $1799 Zoom Scooter Scooter never arrived. Lied several times about it being in transit. They agreed to refund my money after 6 months. After 2 months of requesting, I received 2 payments of $500. Was promised the balance in January. Have contacted them several times with no response. Now their phone number doesnt work. I purchase the ********************* Scooter Order #**** confirmation# 8N09EDR51 ordered on 11/30/2023 at 6:50 pm total amount $1,846.82 according to their website scooters were in stock and shipping free in 3 to 5 business days. This is a gift for my wife for her Birthday and have not heard from the company after multiple Email outreach attempts on 12/13/2023, 12/14/2023 and 1/20/2024 (FINAL ATTEMPT) on to follow up on when the order may ship and even allowing extra time for the Holidays and now we sit with no response from the company and no scooter delivered. Currently as of 1/20/2024 5:17 pm their website says they currently have ONLY 10 ********************* scooters left in stock so were Is our order??? Let me 1st say, I love my zoom e-scooter that Ive had for 2 yrs. 500 miles on it.I ordered a new battery 4 months ago. They told me 3 months ago to be patient they were back stocked. Asked if I want a refund but didnt tell me what kind of battery it was to look elsewhere. After *** asked multiple times.I dont want a refund. I want the battery I paid for 4 months ago.I would have never bought this knowing how awful their customer service is.I even referred a neighbor to get one. They did. It took 12 weeks to deliver and was the wrong color.Instead of making it right, zoom Said, we can take it back refund you and you can order the other color (the one you originally ordered that we demaged in transit) at the new price which was about $300 more than the one she bought.With NO offer of honoring the price. My neighbor stuck with a color they didnt want.I have no idea who does their customer service, but theyre awful.I also bought a new passenger foot peg and didnt get it until 5 months later after reminding them of the order.I now get no response. They are just so awful. Its so sad cause the product is great but they **** so horribly and are the only ones who sell it.I would definitely buy a different brand with better customer service over the better product. I cant even use this scooter until I get a new battery, which I dont even know is coming!?I feel very very angry and sad at this point. I ordered an electric scooter from ZOOM on January 7, 2023, and on Jan. 8, $1,949.00 was billed to my credit card. Despite multiple assurances that my scooter was on its way to me, it never arrived. Finally, at the beginning of October, 2023, I cancelled my order, as they said I could, and requested a refund. On Oct. 10, they claimed they processed the refund "last week". It has never shown up on my credit card statement. Additionally, they requested my Venmo account info, saying that they could Venmo me the refund. I provided this information on Nov. 10, they acknowledged they got it, but they have not sent my refund by ***** either.
