I was automatically signed up to their angel ******* with a $40/month subscription that I DIDNOT sign up to. It auto subscribed about a month after my first purchase and luckily because of a pause on my card I avoided multiple $40 withdrawals inititaed by nakedwines.com. Im sure this is completely illegal but at the very least bad business practice I cant imagine how much money you could potentially steal from loyal unassuming customers that have enough money to be ordering cases of wine a $40 charge usually would go unnoticed..

The good news is (as you found out!) there are no contracts or obligations, you can opt out any time if you don't want to save money monthly towards your next discounted order.

I have now had two separate charges to my credit card for 270 dollars and 317, no authorization or even having conducted business with this company. **************** is investigating the fraudulent charges

      Hi ***** -

I have refunded those charges. It may take up to 5 business days to see those refunds reflected.

It looks like someone in MI has your CC info. They have attempted 2 more orders, which we blocked.
I'm so sorry for any frustration caused and hope this ends here for you! Be sure to notify your CC company so they can take correct actions on their end to keep you safe!

Just to confirm - the refunds issued will still go to your CC account even if the CC company cancels the card.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to us via phone in the future if there's anything we can help with - **************

I used a Naked Wines promotion card for a discount on wine that came in an Omaha Steak gift. I did NOT subscribe to anything during that transaction on December 24th, but the card I used has been charged $40 on January 24th, $40 on February 24th, and $40 on March 24th! I want my money back, and I want those promotion cards changed to be clear that Naked Wines will continue to charge with no further product sent!

Looks like you took advantage of a discounted case in exchange for becoming an ***** (our *****s deposit monthly into a piggy bank where there money is saved until they're ready to purchase again at up to 60% off) -- this is listed in the case description as well as the follow up emails to give our customers ample opportunity to opt out before they start depositing.
The good news is that there are never any contracts or obligations - your money is always yours and in your control. I've canceled and refunded per your request - This action is also available via our website.
Thanks so much for giving our wine a try! We'll hang onto your wings in case you decide to give being an ***** another try.

      Hi,

Naked Wines did it again and charged me $69.99 last night. They claim my email doesn't link to an account. I DO NOT HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM!

This is nuts. Any help you can offer would be appreciated.

      Thank You,

      *****

      Hi ****** -

I'm unable to find an account associated with the information provided. Based on the price of the charge it sounds like someone took advantage of a welcome offer with your credit card - if this was not you we're more than happy to refund, we'll just need some more information to locate your account.
Please give us a call at **************

I am rejecting this response because:

They keep stating I don't have an account but have charged me twice and their email address and link are in the credit card statements. They are running  scam and say they want to help but don't..

      Sincerely,

My experience seems to mirror many of the other complaints. In short, I responded to two promotions to purchase wines at a good price. That's how they got my credit card information. Today, I noticed a recurring charge for an "angel ******** subscription. I never requested or agreed to any kind of subscription. I have lodged a complaint with my credit card company and with naked wines.

I purchased tickets to a show, and received a voucher for 100 dollars at total wine, so I ordered wines for a one time shipment. I got a receipt with the full price and the minus 100 dollars for the voucher. I have copies of the voucher and order receipt. There is no mention of recurring charges or subscriptions status. There is a guaruntee upon entering the voucher that "there is no requirement for additional purchases". As seems to be a theme on this page, I was charged $40 three separate times before I noticed it in my transactions history. No receipt or emailed notification. I was spammed in that time with 52 emails for offers and deals, and not one notification for recurring charges or subscription status. I did not even have a password for my "account" when trying to obtain my money back. I have just managed to "cancel" my subscription and I have requested my refund for $120. I will let you know whether I receive the $120 in a timely manner, but this practice is predatory and irresponsible.

I was offered a voucher for $100 towards wine. I reviewed the card as well as my spouse and we decided to give it a try. Neither of us are wine lovers but wanted to try. If we got something we liked we'd definitely be repeat customers. Somewhere in the fine print we had to order a certain amount of bottles and a certain dollar amount of wine. This is misleading due to the card not explicitly stating the terms for the voucher being valid. I don't want anything other than clarity in their vouchers. I'd appreciate if the card stated $100 off of a purchase of X [number of bottles] of a total of 'Y' [total dollar amount of purchase].

The minimum spend requirement associated with each money off voucher is printed on the back of said voucher. Voucher details are listed again on the site when a customer claims voucher. If a customer hits the minimum spend requirement but doesn't have enough bottles in their cart to check out (we have boxes that accommodate 6, 9, 12 and so on) they will be prompted to add more bottles upon checkout.
If a potential customer does not check out this information is also sent to their email.
I have included a screenshot of the email that **************** received and clicked through after claiming his voucher but not taking advantage of it with price details associated with his voucher.
