            July 2021 Docuprep xpress contacted me about student debt forgiveness. I googled the business to make sure they were real and they were. Then I signed up for their program which required me to give them my full name, my social security number, my home address, and they have access to withdrawal from my checking account. When I signed up for the program they said I would be paying a year at $150 a month and then the remaining 3 years at $50 a month. I received a piece of mail from Nelnet, late November early December 2023, which is who my actual student loan is through. It was informing me that I still owed the total of my student loan, as of July 2021, to them. I called docuprep xpress to ask them what was going on and they proceeded to inform me that the agreement had not been for a 60 month repayment plan but a 240 month repayment plan which would then equal out to me paying them around $15,000 for an $8,000 student loan debt. I contacted the department of education and ******, finally being able to talk to someone, and was able to confirm that they did not work with docuprep xpress.

            his is a complete Fraud! I have reported them to the department of education! They lie to you and say your loans will be forgiven after you pay them for 10 years! Which now that I spoke to the department of education pretty much everyones loans are forgiven after 10 years. I have paid them several thousand dollars and the only thing they did was fill out my recertification form for low income payments which again I was already eligible for because of my income and COVID! And I would have done myself if that hadnt gotten into my student loan account!! I spoke to NelNet who is my actual loan service provider with the department of education and they informed me this is a scam. So I contacted DocuprepXpress and requested a full refund of my money since they lied and said they were the depot education( lie) They said my loans were forgiven (lie) They said because they filled out my low income low certification for me. 1 time in 2 years that I would not get any money back! I could have done this myself! They refuse to pay back what they owe! Liars and chests! Do major research before you believe their lies. They take advantage of people that are hurting financially and make them think they have everything handled!! Lies Lies Lies! BEWARE!!

            *******,First off Nelnet is not the department of education. Secondly prior to you enrolling with us you were defaulted and with collections on your student loans. The fact that your loans are with Nelnet now CONFIRMS we did our job correctly by getting you out of default and placing you back with a loan servicer under a new program that allows loan forgiveness, which again you just confirmed that you are in the program in this complaint. Your refund was not granted as you paid us to do a service, which was completed and verified. Furthermore, this application process started in January of 2020 and finalized in April of 2020. To date - we also submitted your annual recertification two years in a row now. At this point, we've done everything correct by you. We wish you the best. Thank you.
