Bought a car from California motor trade a month ago. Drove it home first day and had warning lights for engine and tire pressure. Took it back to get fixed and they have kept it for over 3 weeks with no updates on the repair. Getting increasingly frustrated with their incompetence and really starting to wonder if I should just get a refund on this vehicle. Absolutely terrible customer serviceInitial Complaint

I purchased a 2020 **** fusion on December 23, 2023. The company claims they dont sell cars with salvage titles. I received a blue title and everything was fine until I started having issues with a noise coming from the engine. I decided to get it checked and contact **** dealership. Once they ran my vin number they let me know my car is actually a salvage vehicle and should have not been sold to me without my knowledge in that condition. I believe this purchase was fraudulentBusiness Response

Good morning
We don't sell salvage cars client has a clean title in hand since 2023 now that the car is having mechanical errors car is salvage.
I don't mind stepping in speaking to the client showing that is not the case.
Client can call the dealership and ask for GM Alex
Not a fraudulent deal client is just having mechanical issues at the end of the day it is used car.

A modification to the stock stereo was agreed upon by both parties in order to complete the sale of the vehicle. The agreement between buyer and seller were as follows:Inspect the radio as the screen of the radio did not work.Replace the arm rest upholstery. Upon receipt of the vehicle after the vehicle was returned from repairs it was found that the bezel around the radio was scratched and broken. An attempt to repair the defect was made by the installer. The radio also was not of equal quality of the stock original radio rendering many of the features useless. Upon inspection of the exterior of the vehicle it was discovered that the passenger tail light and trunk lid passenger taillight were broken. The trunk lid taillight was cracked in the corner on the right hand side and the passenger taillight was broken at the tab which holds the light flush to the vehicle. This can cause water to enter the trunk area and cause further damage in the future. The upholstery was completed without issue. As per the contract agreement upon purchase an attempt to contact the seller was made without success to rectify the issue. The negligence of the initial repair and treatment of personal property has caused me to make the repairs through alternative avenues.Business Response

On 04-21-2024 I purchased an acura Ilx from this dealership. Part of the contract said the car includes floor mats and a tire repair kit - these items were supposed to be sent in the mail. I have made numerous attempts to contact them but they have never sent me these items. I believe this is a breach of contract.Business Response

Good Morning,
Client is a sub prime lender deal and drove the car for 2 months without allowing deal to fund and dealership to get paid.
She provided fake stubs and info to obtain loan then drove car without insurance and put deal and car in danger.
Finally we were able to get client here to dealership to complete funding process but at this time car had been on the road 86 days and bank wanted to short fund.
We tried to explain to client you cant drive a car for almost 3 months and not pay but she seemed to not understand also causing a seen multiple times here.
Client came yesterday and settled here debt and picked up her car.
Shame a client can cause so much chaos and leave a bad review on us.

I bought a vehicle (VW Jetta 2021) from California Motor Trade Norco Showroom on 12/17/2023. After two months of waiting for my DMV registration and plates and I decided to call California Motor Trade to find out if they had an update.I called them on February 27th and they said they would call back, no one did so I called again and the person who could help me was out. I called again the following day and the person **** was in a meeting so they gave me a number of their titles department. I called their titles department and they said the person who could help me was out and they would call me back, no one did so I called again and the person was busy.So I called California Motor trade Norco again on February 29 and the same thing all over again. I told them I wasn't going to call again.I temporary registration expired on March 15, I went to DMV and DMV said that the dealership had not completed the application so there is nothing they could do.I reached out to California Motor Trade and told them I can no longer legally drive the vehicle I bought from them because they have refused to complete the registration process. They said they would call me and sort it out and as of today (March 19) no one has called me and I am unable to drive my only vehicle. This is causing me financial loss and a lot of stress. I would like the dealership to take their vehicle back and issue me a full refund.Business Response

Hi There
Looks like a Dmv reg issue i will reach out to client and see how we can solve this.
Customer Answer
Date: 03/25/2024
I am rejecting this response because:
They've been saying this for two months and they never reach out either. When I called them after my temporary registration had expired they said they would call me back on the same day and I haven't received a call to date.
Them saying they'll get back to me is a lie and it's also a lie that it's a DMV issue because I was at DMV and they said the dealership had not even completed the registration yet.
I should point out that I am incurring financial losses due to not being able to drive my only vehicle and I plan on using them if there next response here is unsatisfactory or not timely.

California Motor Trade (CMT) in Norco California sold me a **** Focus RS on October 26, 2023. After all expenses, the total cost was slightly more than $40,000. On my drive home, after only ***** minutes the check engine light and temperature warning came on, and the temp gauge maxed out. Moments later, the vehicle lost power. I pulled to the shoulder of the expressway, called CMT, and was informed they wouldn't send a tow because the company they use won't pick up vehicles on the expressway and I had to find a way to get the car off. Luckily a tow truck passing by offered to help for free. Again, I called CMT to have them send a tow and a loaner car, they agreed to the tow, but they did not know if they would be able to provide a loaner car and if they could, I would have to wait a few days until they had someone available to transport it to me. Hours later, after the sun went down, CMT sent a loaner car to my location and arrived about 10 min after the tow truck. Three weeks later CMT called to inform me they identified the malfunctioning part, ordered a new one, and installed it, but I would have to come pick up my car and drop off the loaner car. After refusing, CMT reluctantly agreed to have an employee transport it to me but was insistent on delivering it that day. My supervisor allowed me to go home to exchange the vehicles. Hours later, CMT canceled because they didn't have any available employees and they would have to come the following day. I was granted another day off of work, but CMT canceled again because of "bad traffic". That weekend the car was delivered, and the very next day it overheated and broke down again. I requested to return the car per the Lemon Law. CMT refused, made unacceptable offers, and then agreed BUT only if I bought another vehicle from them. It has been a week since they responded, and they have not attempted to remedy the situation in any way. I will attach a more detailed document outlining the entire experience/interaction.Initial Complaint

On March 4 2023 I went to the dealership to purchase a 2019 ****** Camry. I had financing for the vehicle before I came. I was never informed of no warranties or even acknowledged to any of them. Upon arrival all my documents was already tinted waiting to be signed. I looked over everything and they were forcing a warrant on my. I informed them I did not want that and those or optional. I was told that one was being removed and that this other warranty comes on all cars as it is already done. I wasnt given a pamphlet or anything to know how to use it just the name on the contract. I looked up the company after and seen that when they put the tracking identifiers on the car its stickers thats easy displayed in the windows and around the car. Well my car do not have any. I did not want this anyways and was forced into it. I want my money back for that warranty. My second issue is that I purchased the car May 4, 2023. I still do not have registration or tags for the car. I received paperwork from DMV in August stating the registration wasnt finished and that fees were due, title change fee, and smog. Thats all things that are supposed to be done when you sell a car and you have only ***** days to get that information over to DMV. I instantly contact the dealership. They kept stating the person that handles DMV paperwork was gone for the day and they would have them call me. This went on for 2 weeks. I reside far from Norco CA. I finally got ahold of ******************* August 29, 2023. She stated they didnt have the title and they were reaching out to the auctioneer. She sent me paper work stating show in the event I was pulled over from expired registration however it did not prove nothing as registration still remains unpaid. Fast forward to September 29, 2023 I havent heard from her, received the title. Called and awaiting General manager. This isnt acceptable at all.
