    O stars. They like to deliver sandals, take a picture and when you get home no shoes. **************** said there is nothing they can do. So you can keep my sandals and money. I won't order anything from Birkenstock again.

    I bought my wife a pair of Birkenstock Bostons last year. The sole has already detached from the top of the left shoe. This is unacceptable for a $160 product. I emailed Birkenstock Customer service and they basically said they couldn't do anything. This was their reply: "The Birkenstock sole has been carefully selected for its superior qualities. It is lightweight, flexible, durable, and shock-absorbent. However, the integrity of the sealant materials can be compromised when exposed to excessive heat, water, chemicals, or oil. We typically see this type of sole separation with the straps or soles when the footwear is exposed to any one or combination of these external factors and is not considered a defect. As each person wears their footwear differently, Birkenstock footwear does not have a specific warranty or guarantee. There are many factors that contribute to how long the footwear lasts, such as: how often they are worn, the conditions they are exposed to, the level of shoe care they receive, how they are stored, and the individual walking pattern of the wearer. Some people may get less than one year of wear while others may get two or more." Obviously the quality of their shoes are not great. My wife only wore them in the winter and never when it rained. She would only wear them during the weekends or after work too. I can't believe such an expensive product is so flimsy and on top of that their company doesn't make an effort to make it right. They referred me to a shoe repair service which I don't have anywhere near me. I will not be supporting their business in the future.

    Like many others, I purchased a pair of Birkenstock shoes that fell apart in less than six months of light use. I was shocked to learn that Birkenstock USA has warranty guidelines requiring shoes to remain practically unused to qualify for replacement.Adding to my frustration was the discovery of critical information that was absent from the product description:"EVA's are designed as pool/spa/beach shoes rather than for day-to-day use like our cork sandals. Factors such as the individual walking pattern of the wearer, frequency of use, and exposure conditions impact their lifespan. For example, if the EVA's are used to walk long distances or for extended periods of time, they will break down faster. Some people get several months of wear while others may get more."Shoes designed to last only a few months? This is both outrageous and wasteful. Had this information been disclosed upfront, I would never have purchased these sandals. It feels misleading to sell a product without informing customers of its limited durability.Furthermore, Birkenstock's refusal to honor replacements due to broken parts on sandals they purposely designed to be this fragile unfairly places the burden of their (knowingly) poor product design on the customer. This policy shows a lack of accountability for their own product failures.

    I bought a pair of their expensive shoes for my son and they broke in a month. They refuse to do anything about it and say sorry you bought it from a retailer not us. Regardless it is your shoe brand and you should stand behind it.

    I cant believe how poorly my problem was addressed. I have had the same experience as many have already stated. Too bad because I really liked their shoes but after how I was treated I will never buy Birkenstock ever again. Think of how bad that I must feel I was treated after 30 years of wearing their clogs professionally and in my regular wardrobe as well. Birkenstock doesnt seem to mind though. Maybe they will start to listen once these complaints start piling up as it seems they recently are.

    I have tried to order sandals online for my husbands birthday twice. Both times I received an order confirmation email and was charged. A week later with no shipping confirmation I had to call support where they told me both times that my order was canceled. The most recent person I spoke to was a bit rude as well, basically telling me it could be any reason as to why it was canceled, and any issues I have with being charged I just need to discuss with my bank.

    I wish I could give ZERO stars!I bought a pair of Birkenstocks less than 60 days ago. The back ends are completely splitting away from the soles. The kicker.. Ive barely worn them. I contacted Birkenstock expecting them to do right by my purchase (spent over $120 for these) and to my surprise, they are willing to do nothing. I dont want my money back, I want a pair of shoes that arent falling apart. If their brand is that well designed, I cant imagine why they wouldnt want to replace them for me. Im so disappointed in their lack of customer service. I wont be supporting their business any longer. Im just glad I didnt purchase the other 2 styles yet.

    I bought a pair of sandals from Birkenstock and got a pair that was one size too big (their sizing is way off). I returned them and ordered a new pair. Well, still waiting on my refund and the second pair I ordered never arrived. Still waiting to get the replacment pair from birkenstock. Whatever you do, do not buy online, their service is awful.

    I paid $25 extra to receive 2 day shipping. Birkenstock reneged on that option and changed it to 3 day shipping, pretending it was really still 2 day shipping. This customer support group is anything but!You have many other vendors to choose from for Birkenstocks. This outfit scores very low marks in my book for customer service. My advice: shop elsewhere where you can get the same product, along with genuine customer care and support.Paying these guys extra money in an effort to expedite shipping is like pouring money down a rathole.

    I purchased a pair of Birkenstock sandals exactly a year ago, but they were only worn around my house for a period of 6 months. In that time the cork was sealed twice with a kit I purchased directly from Birkinstock. When I got them out this year, I discovered cracks in the same spots on both shoes, and the glue was coming away on one strap. Of course this is unacceptable for such an expensive pair of shoes, but *********** customer service seems to think this is entirely reasonable and offered me no solutions other than taking them to a cobbler on my own dime. They literally told me that it was expected that some people just may not get more than a year out of their shoes! I am flabbergasted. I have since discovered that this is an incredibly common flaw in the Mayari style, yet not only do they continue to sell them, they refuse to stand behind the known issue when it arises. When they could have had a customer for life, they now have a disgruntled and highly disappointed one.
