On January 4, 2023, I had an appointment for a technician from Atlas Heating and Air Conditioning Company come to my home to assess/diagnose my home furnace that has been having issues where it would come on some ************** others which was explained when I made the appointment. I paid $149 for the technician to come out & help me understand & come up with a resolution for the issue, but he told me, which is stated in his note, that since the furnace was working at the time, there was not anything he could do. He couldnt diagnose the issue or give me the necessary procedure to assess the issue myself, so Im out $149 & did not get the service I paid for or a refund. All I ask is for a refund of the amount I paid for not getting said services.

      Hi ********,

This customer issue has been resolved, ********************** is refunding **************** in full.  He had called and talked to an admin about having to pay who demurred, but didn't pass it up the chain as should have been done.  I spoke to Mr. * this morning.

******************** furnace was working fine when our tech arrived, therefore it was hard to diagnose an issue.  Mr. * has been in elevator repair in the past and pulled the part that he thought was the problem, cleaned all the wires and connections, ordered one parts kit online that didn't work, then bought the "crappy" one and after some adjustments made it work. He made several calls to HVAC companies to get help with this, then figured it out himself.  Our diagnostic/trip fee didn't sit well since the furnace was working when we arrived.  Not easy for us to figure out how to help this do-it-yourselfer since we needed to drive 25 minutes to get to his home in Richmond from our office, then back to Oakland, about an hour in travel alone and we spent 35 minutes on site as well.

All is well that ends well, he'll have his $149 back on his card either today or Monday.

Should I extract the contents of this email and send it as a letter to BBB, **** PO *ox 218, *********** ***** after I change his name to "this customer"?

      Thank you,

      *****************
