We are a nonprofit org that contracted with Flipcause several years ago for online fundraising. For a monthly fee, they process and then pay to us donations to our organization via our website, and maintain the database. Their policy is to deposit funds 7-10 business days after we make a transfer request on their system. For about the past year, the deposits have been delayed sometimes for weeks, and more recently for over a month. This can be thousands of dollars. Our repeated emails and phone calls are not answered; there is no live support and only a phone message. On the few occasions when we've gotten a response, they explained last fall that they had a new system that was delaying funds and that it should be cleared up in a month or so. I have repeatedly asked for someone in the leadership team to call me, at no avail. It has actually gotten worse since then, with even longer delays. In addition, they have a 10 transfer request limit, so if they haven't paid out donations we quickly reach 10 pending transfers. Then we are further delayed because we can't request deposits of the new donations until they pay out some of the older ones. And their system is now not working properly. We have less than 10 pending transfers, but it is telling us we have reached our 10 limit and can't request more. I have seen reviews online stating others are having the same problem. They need to comply with their 7-10 business day policy. We are deeply concerned that this company does not have the funds to pay out the donations they are receiving for us, perhaps that is why they are delaying funds to everyone?

****************, a nonprofit organization, uses Flipcause for donation processing and website management. Flipcause has repeatedly withheld our donation funds for months at a time without explanation or communication, despite stating that processing takes 7-10 days.April June 2024: Flipcause held over $5,000 from a Golf Fundraiser for more than two months. Funds were only released after repeated emails and calls and a report to the BBB.November 28, 2024: I received an email stating that our Flipcause account had been taken over by an unknown staff member ******************************************** locking us out of our donation and bank account access.January March 2025 (Ongoing): Flipcause is currently withholding $4,286.22, marked as "processing" since January. Multiple emails and attempts to reach them have gone *************** Communities relies on these donations to operate. I have previously filed complaints to get Flipcause to release our funds, as their BBB page contains similar complaints from other nonprofits. The business is unresponsive and is withholding money that does not belong to them.We request that Flipcause immediately release the $4,286.22 in donations, provide transparency about their processing delays, and ensure funds are disbursed within their stated timeline. Failure to do so is harmful to nonprofits like ours that rely on donor support.I have submitted formal complaints with the Pennsylvania and California Attorneys General offices regarding Flipcauses ongoing withholding of nonprofit funds.I have attached relevant emails and documentation for review.

This has been a reoccurring issue with the company. We use them to process credit card transactions for our non-profit. They collect funds and then their platform says the money will be transferred in 7-10 business days. The length of time to transfer funds has gotten longer and longer. This effects our non-profit greatly. I requested 2 transfers on Dec 17 2024: 1 for $2500 and the other for $4095. I also requested another transfer on Jan 14 2025 for $5037.20 and have not received any of the funds as of 3/5/25. These are sponsorship funds for children with parents in prison who we are trying to feed, clothe and educate.

Flipcause is holding funds that belong to Sertoma totaling $28,814.67 + and refusing to respond to any correspondence requesting the funds be released. The funds have been owed as far back as 1/7/2025. We are a nonprofit who depend on the fundraisers we put on utilizing Flipcause.

Flipcause allows nonprofits to manage donations, event ticketing, volunteer management, and peer-to-peer fundraising. All supporter activity automatically funnels into the Flipcause database. Once they have collected the funds, they require that you request a peer-to-peer bank transfer. On January 14, 2025 we requested a transfer of funds for $5,898.69. As of today, they have not made the transfer and will not respond to emails on their online contact us link. They now owe us $6,141.30 in total. Others online have posted reviews that they are experiencing the same issue and have noted they think Flipcause may be going bankrupt.

I could type a bunch of words here but you can read pretty much every other complaint on this page. Add me to the list of suckers who let Flipcause convince us that it was good for small nonprofits. It's pretty bold to claim to focus on smaller nonprofits, with smaller margins and less budget wiggle room, and then HOLD THEIR MONEY FOR MONTHS. I've emailed, called, emailed, called... If anyone's ready to sue, I'm on board. We currently have $3500 that's been sitting in their account for MONTHS. Add that to all of these other complaints and it's obvious they are holding onto the money for their own gain. Somebody call a lawyer.

We are a small nonprofit who uses and pays for services from Flipcause to manage things like ticket sales, donations, donor databases, raffles, etc. We use their platform and then they transfer the fund in 7-10 business days, or so they say. We have a pending deposit from March 2024 for $1900 and we one from Decemwber 1014 in the amount of $800. I can not get ahold of any live person. The phone number had you leave a message and emails go unanswered. This is almost $3000 which is almost 10% of our yearly budget!!!!! We just want the money our donors paid us in good faith. They didn't pay Flipcause, they donated to a nonprofit. We pay for their service for them to only keep our money!? We just want the money the money our donors donated!

Subject: Urgent Request for Assistance Regarding Fraudulent Activity by Donation Processor Dear Better Business Bureau,I am writing on behalf of the ************************************ (****), a small nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals affected by adrenal diseases. We are currently facing a critical situation and urgently need your assistance in addressing what appears to be fraudulent activity by a company that was contracted to process donations for our organization. For several years, **** worked with Flipcause, a service provider for donation processing and website management. However, for the past six months, Flipcause has stopped responding to our inquiries and has failed to release approximately $20,000 in funds donated to our organization. These funds, which were intended to support our ongoing work and assist the adrenal disease community, have not been transferred to our bank account for over two months, despite repeated attempts to contact Flipcause for resolution. We are deeply concerned that this is a case of ******** a small nonprofit, **** relies heavily on donations to sustain our programs, provide vital resources, and support individuals affected by adrenal diseases. The withholding of these funds has put our operations in jeopardy, and we fear the impact this situation will have on the community we serve.Given the gravity of this issue, we respectfully request your office's intervention to investigate this matter and help facilitate the release of the funds owed to our organization. We would also appreciate any guidance on legal steps we can take to hold Flipcause accountable and prevent further harm.Thank you for your time and consideration. We are hopeful that with your assistance, we can resolve this matter quickly and continue our important work without further disruption.

As with all of the other complaints against Flipcause, mine is the same and relates to their not releasing our funds in a timely manner. We are a small non-profit animal rescue organization. We operate solely on donations and rely heavily on these funds being held by Flipcause. They market themselves as "The best fundraising platform for small nonprofits." As a small nonprofit we were in desperate need of a donor database and fundraising platform to help us streamline operations. The fact that Flipcause supports a Weekly website platform was an added benefit, and one we also desperately needed, so we made the decision to transition to the Flipcause platform in June of last year. As stated by others, you cannot speak with anyone directly. Initially I was able to call someone on our "Success Team," but that support quickly wained and today is completely unsatisfactory. I used to get relatively timely responses to email, either sent directly or through their internal platform. That is no longer the case. Emails often go unanswered and recently I had to investigate to get a phone number and leave a message, as well as at least 4-5 emails before finally getting a response (with no explanation as to why there was a delay mind you). Not once, in ******************************************************************* our accumulated donations be made to our bank. Every time I've had to follow-up with them, and every time, there is a different excuse. That is, when they actually provide an excuse. I have zero confidence in this organization and have serious concerns that their inability to do what they say will result in our small animal rescue having to shut our doors.
